Hi Lorinda, welcome to rolla club. Since you're a newby I'll be nice and help you out..... If you want to buy something, chuck up an add in the "wanted to buy" (not parts FOR SALE) section with a location and somebody will have one for you. If you were say, trying to do the screen swap yourself and needed info on how to do it, then you use this (general mechanical > and more specifically the KEXX ) section. :hmm:

Keep seeing this thing parked at the end of george st, parked outside Boags. It's absolutely overrated and looks like it just rolled of the show room floor. I'd put a note on the windscreen saying I want to buy it,..... :hmm: but I'm not much of a fan of sqaure heady ke55 in baby shit brown!!! :S
-
Speaking of coke machines, I found your hat next to it this morning......while it was getting fixed!!! :hmm:

Injectors are easy to find and fit. I got 6x 315cc (7mge) ones for $150! Here's a good site for toyota injector info..... http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0102/articl...?popularArticle Have a read of the turbo 4k thread in engine conversions forum, there's a lot of applicable info there. For a 7k, I reckon you'd be better off with a stock cam and SC. Will work much better in the torque range, rather than power. That's exactly what I have planned for my *one day* 4x4. :hmm:
-
I changed my mind last night.....but I'd still have the delta!! :S....... :hmm:
-
I have a ke55 k50 extension housing in Launy. Take the '70 one off and bolt that on and you're sorted. PM me if you're intersted. :hmm:

Martini homologation HF intergrale.............among others! :hmm:

Yeah good day guys. Water fight was good, even though my flat mate thought we weren't being very mature!! :hmm: T'was quite refreshing though! :S just 1 pic for your amusement.....

Hey buddy, welcome to rollaclub. Just put an add up in the wanted section for any parts you need, just don't forget to add a location to the thread. :)
-
You'll have to look at the video, as I pulled the tacho out and gave it back to Casey last night. Or....get your self a shift light tacho today, and I'll wire a limiter up in your car tomorrow!!! :)
-
Happy B'day Jon Boy!! :) Have you got a s s st st stutter Trev?
-
Only one more sleep!!! Just thought I'd add....We will supply some snags, hamburgers, salads etc, if you're a fuss prick, then bring your own steak. Also bring some $2 coins. I wouldn't be allowed to say exactly why, but you'll find out on the day. Should be able to guess why! If there's going to be a few rollaclubbers there, we might even have a bit of a discussion of future Launceston meets/events!! There's a few ideas being chucked about at the mo, for example the "how far will your old rolla make it" cruise. :)

S1/2/3 12a 5 speed are easy to find and will handle the power of a BP/EP if the box is in good condition. I just put a new s1 box in my mazzy on the weekend. They're also a lot cheaper than a s4 box. S4 - $400+ and you need a 9.5" clutch aswell. S1/2/3 - $200+ and use the same clutch. 1 more thing to add with these, they have a similar thing with shifter positions like ke55/ke70. a S1 box will come through the same hole as a rx4/5 box, and then s2/3 are an inch or 2 further back, like putting a ke70 box in a 30/55. :)

Ok, one more stipulation: It's needs to be reasonably priced!!! The Zorb ball is sorta a good idea (and we could put the ref in it!! ) but I imagine one of things wouldn't be cheap, and the last thing you'd want to do is pop it! :D Good ideas though.

Is it being played on Saturday? Ronan does "hack" or something doesn't he?

Hey Ben, we've been doing a lot of thinking/talking on the car soccer thing last few days, and a gay as it may seem I think we need to have some sort of committee meetings!!! Here's one thing I'm going to put out there for everybody to think about.....We need to think of a suitable ball!! Some of the suggestion we came up with last night were: 2x tractor inner tubes strapped together, aka Top Gear Ice Hocky style. - There's a popping issue here. Stuffed full Been Bag!! Has to be chockers and round though. - main issue with this is if it get driven OVER the under side of the car will most likely rip it open. Rolled up foam mattress from vinnies etc - This was one of the best so far Somebody throw up some ideas. Needs to be at least a metre sphere, durable - ie, not pop, squash, or easily dent. And also be quite light and easy to push around or "kick".

In particualr, was it quicker than a 13.7!?  The longer runners might help a little bit with torque would they? But yeah a T3 on a 1200!! Sure it wasn't a T25? I don't suppose you know what RPM it revved to with the 3k? Oh yeah, mmmm, speed flow!! I've recently aquired another wallet-unhealthy addiction, wate for undates in the next 2 days or so. :D

No. It doesn't. Casey don't take any offence from the below, you haven't done anything wrong in my opinion. This situation came about last week when one local member and myself discussed it. I have had very similar conversiations with more than one other member also. Basically the general consensis was "Nick isn't here much anymore". Now like I said in my above reply, the fact that he replied within 12 hours of the thread being started, he obviously is still regularly visiting the site, even if he doesn't regularly post replies or new topics. This was being compared to my rollaclub activity. I log on in the morning when I get to work, and leave the page open for the day, clicking back and forward every hour or so, depending on replies, PM's etc. Then I may also go back on again in the evenings say if I knew I was getting a PM. So yes I am here a lot, and my activity is visable. Now one of our local members has noticed this, raised the issue, and asked the question. I know he's not trying to deliberately "stir the shit" though some people may see it that way. He has simple noticed that other senior members are more active and frankly more helpful* than our regional leader!!! Ok Nick, now this is were you're not going to like what I have to say! Please don't take offence to the below, but look at it as constructive critism, and maybe as a suggestion of how our little section of the rollaclub world can run a bit better!!. *We know you know a lot about rolla's/cars/electronics etc, BUT you seem very reluctant to share and help other rollaclubbers when you can. In the last 6 months basically I think you've made technical replies to 2 threads. One about a ke55 brake upgrade, and the other being the recent rev-limiter thread. Now you can't tell me you haven't actually read any other threads in the last 6 months that may benefit from 2 minutes of your time!? :D I personally have also asked you a couple of questions via PM, in regards to my motor build. Since the questions were about ECU's, ignition etc, I thought you might have been one of the best people on the site to ask, and the fact you're in the same city as me was only coincidental. I honestly was a bit dissapointed when I recieved NO REPLIES AT ALL TO THESE PM's!!! (Y) Next: Where was your welcoming reply to this new member's self introduction..... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17398 Ben (yes I know his real name by now!) has been pretty active in his first week, but I doubt he would actually know who our regional leader is, if it wasn't for this thread!! And when it comes down to it, if he did vote, he probably voted for me as I have welcomed him to the site, had a bit of a chat via PM, and told him if there's any help I can ever give then don't hesitate to ask!!! Could you confirm my suspicion Ben, as "assumption is the mother of all f'ups" (Y) Dude, how long would it take to write this.... answer - >2 mintues as I just did it!! Cruises - Yes this is an issue. Mate, I know exactly how you must feel with this issue. Much discussion is needed on this to try and get everybody on the one page. Have you tryed to facilitate this discussion!!? Its issues like this that is why Casey has really asked the question. It's not simply the fact you're not here, it the fact that you do nothing on here!! Sorry mate, but this frankly was not a very mature way of going about things. I have been sitting on my hands for 2 days now since your "resignation" (although you all know I've been about), as I wanted to see more votes come in, and get more peoples opinions. If you look at the results now, its actually back in your favour!! To me (please correct me if I'm wrong) it seems a bit more like you've taken this poll as a popularity contest. Rather than looking at it in the way of constructive critisism, you've instantly got your back up and rushed into a decision. Finally: If this is the way in which the regional leadership comes to me, I frankly don't want it!!! I don't want anybody feeling as though they've been "run out of the job", weather it is the case or not....and in this one, its not!!

Yeah the noise coming from them are a bit....scary, for lack of a better word! We were like "yeah we'll walk right up to it and touch it". Got as far as the rope and sighs saying 'don't go past her', heard the creeks and falling rock noises and though " yeah this might do I think"! BTW - have you ever google earthed the Fox and Frans Joseph!? If not, do it. :D
-
Well there you go....I always wondered what those fans were for on the back of the chapparal. I just assumed they might have been thermos or something. Here's a few pics of the 2J for people who have never seen it,....although most would have on GT4. This shot clearly shows the ground effects skirt... Couple of good shots showing the "vacuum cleaner" effect.... http://images.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=...l%3Den%26sa%3DX

You guys have never flown into Christchurch in NZ have you? Rather than clouds as far as the eye can see you just get snow covered jagged mountain ranges and glaciers!! .....better back it up with a pic, sorry none from the plane, had a little snooze :D This is the missus walking up to Fox Glacier You just can't appreciate how big it is until you see it with your own eyes!! She's still about 700m away from it there!!

BEN - You just came up with a good idea for the next North Tas rolla meet I think!!!....... The "How far will your old rolla make it" cruise!!! :2thumbs: There's a few of guys in launy with older cars that probably wouldn't care about taking them off road, I'll look into it. BTW, On the weekend I found 2 different (one at Longford, one at hillwood or something) paddocks that the owners are happy for us to play car soccer on......one of the places even has soccer goals on site!!!! :hmm: Will keep you in the loop as things get organised.

They are a piece of piss to fit aren't they! Your brackets are just the same as mine (well sorta), and did you drill holes in the stone tray to locate the bottom? At least yours is one with a cap, mine didn't have one, so I had to get a pipe made up with one in it.
-
How long we rock on till Saturday night really depends on how much pissed gets drunk saturday day I reckon!!! :hmm: What time you finish? like 5'ish or something? count down would have only just finished by then.
