  1. I just bought me a ke36 yesty Geoff.......and it needs new locks!! ;) Good points though.....its got a running 7k and 5 speed in it, and it has factory air con!! :bash: Will have pics up next week.
  2. They're not too hard to find Trev. Malpassi is by far the cheapest. I found mine on ebay after searching for a month, got it for $60 delivered. Then walked in to a local machine shop.....and the had one in their display cabinet!!! RRP - $90! :sob: Hell, if you can't find one and need one, let me know and I'll go buy you that one!! :bash: Nah no NOS seat covers scott....I really like those playboy ones with the big pink bunnies on them!!.......NOT ;) Nah only seat covers that would go in this car would be a snap-on one, for working on the car with a dirty arse! :y:
  3. actually come to think of it, I tried putting 3k engine mounts on a 4k and they would fit, so yes you're right. You can have the old 3k mounts FOC if they're any help to you! ;)
  4. as far as mounting the engine, would it just be a case of using the same t motor to k cross member setup as your 55!?
  5. There's heaps of different outlet/inlets on the water pumps and thermostat housing as most would know. The bolt pattern for were they bolt to the block is all the same. Only difference with the ke70 water pumps is the mounting for the pully. A ke30/55 etc pully won't fit the ke70 pump and vice versa. ;)

Went out to simmons yesterday to watch a work mate race in his 2jztte XU1 torana....if you haven't seen the vid I put up of it befor, here it is..... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/taz_rx/torana/ >Steves rana He went out with another guy he knew in an R33 GTR, and they wanted to see which was faster. After 4 laps the 'rana pulled maybe 15-20 seconds clear front the GTR!!!!!! Although in the skylines defence, the tyres on it were shagged - were Continental sportscompacts2 which are only available in Japan, hence car was imported 5+ years ago with these tyres on it! Steve's best for the day was a 1:06! Now some of you would have seen this corona befor, he regularly goes to the drags and track days. If you haven't seen it befor it has a 1ggtte which ran low 14's on the twins. Last time I saw it at the drags he had this big single on and dropped to high 12's!!! :jamie: anyway, he's continued to mod it, now has custom plates, front splitter, same wheels - WIDENED (3 piece), and a decent amout of flaring!!! Looks very tough now IMHO. something very different for a corona anyway! Rear wheels now look to be at least 8"s! And one more pic of it sitting next to a very neat little ke10 which had a twin weber fed 4age. Although the corona runs 12 second quarters, the little rolla never left his arse around the track!!!
  7. That ones actually off my phone, not the camera! Was playing with it and found the advance settings, has few different settings of white balance as well as the colour effect - has colour, mono, sepia, and negative (which that is obviously). 1.3 megapixel
  8. :jamie: at the "safety chain" on the oil cap. Not a bad idea though, I nearly lost another one yesty!
  9. Yeah capacity is right, but then you'd have rego issues for the fact its turbo'd! Would have fun trying to fit the FWD engine to RWD anyway. Did you research gearboxes for the conversion? Probably be able to use a t50 with A series bell.

  11. That's a new EFI reg. the carby rising rate one went with the carby setup. Yes it is in the same spot though.... All I did in the boot was remove the ballast resistor from the VL pump and good to go for EFI.

  18. There's a couple of self tappers that are nearly impossible to get to. With that dash of mine you wanted I actually purposely broke part of the plastic dash, to get the dash top out in the condition it was in. However it would not be essential to put all of these self tappers back in. There's a metal "sheft" just below the dash top that it bolts to. Use all of these and the 2 horizontal ones in the ends and that'll do. :jamie:

  22. That last pic reminds me of something funny I seen people do....and I'm afraid to admit I've also done my self...... The old "goggles" accelerator pump squirt in the eyes!!! ;)
  23. Yes a W40 (corona 4 speed) is stronger than a T50, you need to make sure the bellhousing is an A series motor to W40/50 though. The bolt pattern for 55,56,57 etc are different. Just for a visual comparison, thats a T50 in the middle and a W50 on the right (same as W40 with an extra cog). Disregard the match box car GB on the left!! :bash: Back in the day (only 5+ years ago) it was very common to find corona 4 speeds in 300+kw rotaries. This has become a bit less common nowadays with more readily available, cheaper s4-5 turbo boxes. And this is somewhat due to the fact that s4/5 boxes aren't the "best you can buy" anymore - Mmmm, RX8 6 speeds (these are actually true 6 speeds as they have NO overdrive)!!!! 7shades..... Shinanigans!!!!! Dude I want whatever drugs your on......either that or the paint stripper is really starting to get to you!! ;) It was the next series of 929's which were also available in coupes which had rotaries in them! This shape... Know as a HB cosmo or Luce. As much I'd like to help you out with the 929 box shades, I really don't know enough to comment. Really an AR.com question. Although a lot of mazda bellhousings, gearsets, ext housing etc are interchangable. For example a rx4 BH fits a 121 box, and also a s4/5 box!!! if the 121 BH fits the 2 litre motor, then theoretically you could use a s4/5 turbo box with the right clutch combo!! :bash:

  25. Next best link I've used when working out what injectors to use..... http://www.digitaldutch.com/unitconverter/ so 250hp = 186kw.......that'll do me for a little while!! ;) Oh btw, try and get a high ohm injector aswell. The 13.8ohms ones will be easier to setup in the ECU.
