Not really! Big feed means it has bugger all restriction in what it can draw (think maccas straw over what you get from a millkbar for your can of coke - what can you drink quicker through!?) Smaller outlet (and hence hose running off it) means the pump can keep pressure up easier! As it doesn't have to pressurise as much volumne!! |blink|

Up Poatina, down through deloraine..............Hills Benny boy, hills!!! :nervous:
-
Right....well the only southerners who have even replied are Webb an Mookie, so we might as well just make this a northern cruise, but hese guys are still more than welcome to come!! Next decision is location. Yes the sideling is an awesome road, but something west of Launceston may be a better idea considering we'll (hopefully) have a few NW boys!! That way we could say all meet in Launy, cruise the hills, finish in say Deloraine, and split. Also opinions on a tentative date of Sunday May 4th???????

Its a 78-79 ke30. Note bumpers, grill, rear quarter vents etc are most deffinately ke30. Late dash identifies its a 78-79, but I didn't know these had square master cylinders - maybe it has been swapped!?

Watched the whole 2007 top gear series on the weekend....all 10 hours of it! |blink| .....and they did a story on this car...... ...... http://youtube.com/watch?v=mCxdzP76ILg The bit that has been chopped off the end of that video, was back in the studio when they talk about the time it did.....and yes the Stig can drive it well, unlike Jeremy!! Currently on the top of the list is the "konnnnnisssssigggg (with top gear wing)" with a 1:17 The Caparo did it in a 1:10.....blowing everything else on the board out of the water!!!! :nervous: But it was then very quickly removed from the board as it won't get over a speed bump - Being the top gear "road usable" road car rule!

An older design engine than what came out of it!!! :nervous:

Are you serious!!!!! :hmm: Who dyno? Brads? If so you know its less than 70rwkw, as thats what I made on that dyno.

Chit chat deleted. :y: Daim, you should who what I'm like by now.....you and Az just took the bait!! :hmm: I'm an ae86dc member now too, just don't use it much. WE NEED A SHOW OF HANDS OF SOUTHERN MEMBERS INTERESTED!! As if there's only a couple, we may be able to revised the route for Launy/NW guys only. Casey originally mentioned a state cruise, so that's what I ran with. Don't want the same sort of thing here that always happens with tasrotary.com - They're mainly Hobart guys and always want to have a "state rota cruise" but won't go north of Bridgewater.....but still expect us northerns to come. I frankly have no intentions on going on one until they can more accomodating to us! What I'm getting at is: Do we want to do a state cruise, and bite the bullet on fuel......or make it north only (with southerners welcome) and cruise round here somewhere?

Also......opinions on weather we should also invite ae86dc poofters or not!? :D

Ok people, little dissapointed in the votes :D ......do we only have 5 active members left!? Here is a pic of the cruise route I mentioned befor....... It can be run either way....ie, we meet in Campbelltown, cruise through the lakes to Oatlands and split, or meet in Oatlands cruise through to Campbelltown and split. Either way its quite even in the distances travelled, as its like 1/3 up, 2/3 back or vice-versa depending on which way we go. Any NW coast guys who wanted to come, have to option of leaving the cruise up at the lakes and heading home through Deloraine. Here is also a rough time table for the day.....if say we met in Oatlands as pictured: 1030 - Launceston guys meet somewhere and head south. 1100 - Hobart Guys meet somwhere and head north 1200 - Everybody meets up in Oatlands and has a chat etc 1300 - Head west into the hills 1500 - Re-conviene in Campbelltown (2 hours for the 'hills cruise' part is being very generous. Just depends how many stops we have, learner drivers etc) 1530 - Respective parties head to home. 1615 - Launy guys get back 1645 - Hobart guys get back What does everybody think!!!???

Quick update. BRAND NEW 4/5kj reduction starter motor, which cost me a small fortune, now installed.....

Were does the wire on the back side of the ballast resistor come from!!?? the one on the 45o angle to the BR? Here's my guess. There is 2 wires coming from the stock loom in the same place. One of these is ON power, on is START power. You have both of these connected directly to the coil!!!!!!! :no2: Test both with a test light, the one that has START power needs to go on the back side of the BR with the plug I asked about. You may find that you're actually giving the relay a insufficient 6v trigger, which is actually causing you to run out of FUEL, not spark.....and this would also explain why the BR is getting so hot! :sob:

Bare metal re-sprays require to use of "Etch primer"! :hmm:

We may be able to organise you a full licenced driver to accompany you!! No doubt there'll be somebody who wants to come, but doesn't have a working car!
