  1. Ring bursons and tell them to look up the part number in the Lukey catelogue as "extractor gaskets", that were we found them. From memory the part number is like EM55, but i'm probably way off.
  2. ^^correct, need feed on top, return facing down. Water should flwo fine the way you have it, but the turbo is getting hot water from the motor, instead of cool water from the rad. What motor and trubo are you talking about anyway?
  3. Get a permaseal one piece mani gasket. They used to last me a few months of boost, were the 2 piece ACL ones would last a couple of weeks befor the burn out between ex ports 2 & 3. Made off all metal as well, not that shit ceramic stuff. They cost em $6.50 each from Bursons, but I buy a lot, so get great prices. Lappy is also correct in what he says. Pretty much every K mani gasket IS a big port!!!!
  4. Saw an old 3y 'chuck a leg out of bed' couple of years ago. You've probably don't much the same thing - busted a rod or maybe gudgeon pin, the remainder of the rod did the nutbush and you can see the result!! :poke:
  5. Thats my uncle :poke:
  6. The square ones have extra mounting brackets that bolt to the rounds ones holes. I've got some round headlights and a grill, but not that one. Its an early 55 grill. Come round one day and have a look. :D
  7. Just stumpled across a pic of the grill that used to be on it.....
  8. I reckon thats why it has a passenger side mirror! Being Nick's car, i highly doubt it would be illegal, maybe very close too, but not over the line!! :D
  9. Yeah that a stock K CM. :D
  10. What you are referring to is 'Vacuum secondaries', and NO stock 4k carbs don't have it, they're mechanical secondaries. With most vacuum secondary carbs, its only a matter of a strategically placed cable tie or 2 to lock it up and have mechanical secondaries. Very common on Gemini or mazda Nikki carbs.
  11. ^^^^^What he said!!! :) :D
  12. 2/3 of my rollas have that grill dan. They're just the late ke55e grill. Yeah don't 4age it,...but saying that what cross member does it have in it, or did Nick just use a stock K cross member?
  13. Nice work mate, seen your car on velocity befor. Make sure to bring it on a cruise when it runnning! :D
  14. haha yeah those wire strippers are the shit, make life a lot easier! :) We call them "ca-chunkers"....for the sound they make when you use them! :D
  15. Hey Trev, don't suppose you know a guy in Brissy by the name of David Grundy who rallies a 4age ae82?? :D ....oops, sorry just realised this is a circuit car, not rally.
  16. Sorry Damon, you just got my f@$kwit of the week award for that. Ok, you have a death wish...but don't brag about it!!! ;) Why I like K powered corollas: Toyota reliability in well built car thats hard too break. Perfect first car. Yes they are a bit underpowered in stock or mild mod form. But this means they can be driven at 11/10 without biting back. Mechanically very simple, so easy to diagnose and fix problems yourself. Again a good 1st cut for somebody who wants to cut there teeth as a backyard mechanic. Reasonably cheap and readily available parts...although this is changing a bit lately as mentioned above. Bag for buck - they'll beat a 4age any day of the week. :hmm:
  17. Probably just a couple of screws from the back. :hmm:
  18. Nah 215mm, specs are 215 X 28.9 X 21T which is the same input spline as a W50. ....I became a K series gearbox "rare as rocking horse shit gear box option" expert last year!!! :hmm:
  19. would be better off going with an electric fuel pump, although the stock mechanical will do...but far from ideal. As for fuel pressure, the mechanical pump only make around 3-4psi, which the SU's should be able to handle. Maybe the needle and seats are a bit worn! Reg - something like these would be fine..... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-HOLLEY-STYLE-FU...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Speco-Meter-Fuel-Pr...1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. I had my original mk1 turbo setup running 6-7psi for $400.....but that was with atleast 50 hours of my own time. ......and I'm not going to add up what I've spend on mk3!!! ;) :hmm:
  21. AW11 mr2 inserts will fit the strut tube diametre, but are a bit short in the body, which is easily fixed with some washers for spacing. Why? because you can get adjustable shocks like konis for the MR2 which you can't get for a rolla! :POSTPICS!:
  22. The plastic plugs in the intake ports look quite large, thats why I made the big port comment!
  23. Incorrect Brad!!!! 212mm clutch/pressure plate won't fit on any K flywheel. K50 does NOT have the same spline as a T50. The early T50 (one you want for K-T) has 24.1x21T spline and k50 is 21.6x19T. You can use the 4ac or 4age 200mm clutch kit on a 200m KM20 liteace (not just 5k) flywheel.....if you have a T50. Matt should have just used a normal 3/4/5k 180mm flywheel and normal clutch like what is in my 7k wags. :POSTPICS!:
  24. Go ask the same question on club-k.co.nz as I have been told by a very good authority on all things K that in can be done. Just remember exactly which models go, can't find thread I read it in, and their search function isn't working!! :POSTPICS!:
  25. The blue 70 wagon is Josho's :POSTPICS!:
