  1. for anybody else who want to see it.... and assembly of the motor. Bugatti must not trust thier employees! The torque wrench is chained to the roof!! :jamie:
  2. This is what I found in the car park at work today!!
  3. I'm 99% sure you can just put a 3/4/5k flywheel on the 7k to get around any gearbox issues!!
  4. :jamie: thats what I used to have on my throttle cable. Upgraded to one of things you use for centre locking to attched the actuator to the steel rod in the door, they work really well.
  5. Your going to swap a WHOLE diff for the sake of working brakes!!! :P Why not just re-build the whole rear brake setup on the red car (under say $60-70 for shoes and new cylinders) - I'll even help! or wait till you put that commo diff in. Keep the centre and housings (or just pinion gear) for a different ratio, and sell him the axles. Axles will fit 4.3 and 3.9 as its only the CW and pinion thats different. :jamie:
  6. Loosely referred to as a "carby hat". That's not a standard corolla item, it's from a liteace/townace etc, as they have a sepearte air filter barrel like most 4x4's. Could pick one up easily from a commercial wreckers. :jamie:
  7. Half resonable neat T18 for $600 starting bid!! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Corolla-T-18...1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. Tryed te27 flares against a ke55? thats whats on mine. :jamie:
  9. Bad bad timing dude!!! :jamie:
  10. Yeah and get some bolt on too for that ultimate SLR look!! :jamie: Hopefully you know my sense of sarcasm by now!! :P
  11. hehe... "....Captain slow is doing 360....370 kilometres an hour!!"
  12. Nah only 2 common types. The original D-dish pistons - 22cc dish ACL replacement 0-dish pistons - 6cc dish Sorry don't know stock 5k CR, but would be around 9:1 I reckon.
  13. fug'd with plenty of K dizzies. Was helping a mate with thew GE ages ago. Why do you ask?
  14. Carbon doesn't shatter like fibre, thats probably why you're allowed Carbon bonnets. But what about fibre hornet scoops!!! Mate actually had a carbon bonnet on his silvia, which flew up and hit the roof at 100kmh+, absolutely f@$ked the roof and hinges, but the bonnet held up to it pretty well, only really cracked the resin a bit!!
  15. Ah, here's another point......Has the car ever had another engine put in it!? Cause there is different temp senders!! I now have a ke55 (was straight 4k) with a 4k with 3k head. The 3k head still has the 3k temp sender in it and this connects to the ke55 4k guage. Normal operating temperature on the guage is now about 10 0'clock. If it goes past there, I know its getting hot.
  16. I made 70rwkw with a carby turbo 4k on 8psi. Stock motor and cam.
  17. Yes, used a hole saw and drilled holes everywere rather than cutting away all of the support. Some of the front panel was already gone from the cooler. With the thermo fan direct, they'l all work both ways by reversing the wires, BUT they all also have a prefer direction. Nomally you'll get about TWICE the air flow through having it hooked up the right way. Props or fans have a fin design that will work in reverse, but not to maximum efficiency.
  18. Looks like a hummer tried to f@$k it doggy style!! ;)
  19. haha the atmm, was thinking about this last night when I was looking at MSD ignition stuff. CDI - is "captive discharge ignition", but when talking about then people often refer to then as "CDI ignition systems"!
  20. Yeah give it a crack, stick cam be plan B. I've got no email size limit now so all good there, just depends on how much YOU can send!
  21. Like this!!!! ;) http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22828887-421,00.html
  22. The 2 times I have used them so far: 5k (on 50cmx50cm pallet) from rural sydney to Launceston, had to get an on-forwarder to pick up and drop at sydney depot. $177 - $112 was the tasfreight charge and $65 on-forwarder charge. K-T50 from Adelaide to Launceston. This was dropped at the depot by the seller so only Tasfreight charge of $114 depot to depot. Brissy may be a little more expensive being further away, but reckon it'll still be under $130 depot to depot.
  23. I'll have one of these please!!! ;) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MAZDA-JDM-FAMILIA-R...1QQcmdZViewItem or a cosmo 110s will do if you can't find one!!
  24. Yeah I've noticed that befor, its a ke30, going by the tail lights. ;) Pretty sure "cool" was a 70's word that still gets used John!!
  25. Making good headway on the ECU wiring. ECU is mounted, inside cabin wiring is done, injectors are done, tonight I'll do the TPS, ICBV, temp sensors and the ignition wiring and I'm done!! Better get that mem stick in the mail Matt!! ;) Oh, and Casey I noticed the other day that Bob Jane have some bolt on spacers on the rack with lock nuts etc. The were 4 stud, don't know exact PCD, but chances are good that they're 114. - If you go the celica diff anyway.
