  1. The 1/8th mile is very common in overseas drag racing, You can tell its 1/8th mile by the amount of zoom having to be used by the camera, Watch a race on a 1/4 mile and you can see the difference, I also think that stanthorpe (QLD) is a 1/8th mile track.
  2. Of course its the 1/8th mile.
  3. I can probably get some of the Homologations from my boss.
  4. Today's running video:
  5. Got rid of the missfire, The 2nd webber (number 3&4) was staying open a little bit so i hooked the linkages up and it runs alot better now and i took the accelerator cable out of the turbo sedan as it was too short anyway but it fits the van great, I just have to make up a cable bracket as i lost the one i had.
  6. Its normal to idle that high when they are cold, My steering was doing the same thing, I found that the lower control arm bolt was loose.
  7. I thought this car looked familiar, It was at work the other week to get a few things done to it, Really is a tidy looking car upclose and is a nice conversion, The panel on the firewall surely made it easy to change the leads and so on, Are you John?
  8. Twincab twinky, Ha, Lay off the booze Trav and get them pedal credits happening.
  9. I kinda shat myself cause them door locks are f@$kin loud. This is a non turbo manual aswell.
  10. No dramas, I think I'm going to it, We are holding a triumph club meet at work next weekend and i think its apart of that so if i go i will come say hi.
  11. Sorry to hijack also but i wanna refer to the automatically locking doors, I drove a JZA80 supra today and the doors locked as soon as you tookoff.
  12. Are you going to head out to the primer to pristine car show?
  13. Well as promised, Here is a vid of the car running, It ran alot longer than the video shows but the backfire was quite loud so i decided to shut it down, I will run it on saturday and try to time it properly: I also took the coil and ignition module to work and situated it where the ignitor normally sits and make the wiring pretty:
  14. This would work if you failed to buy from BP for a period of time, I used to work for a caltex servo and you have to price watch the local servo's and put there prices into the computer system, it then comes back at what price you should trade your fuel for, So realistically it should make them lower thier prices after a period of time of not buying from them.
  15. Decided to get rid of the points dizzy and go with the 4age dizzy/coil setup and use the ignition control module out of an ae82 electronic dizzy, I don't have advance but who gives a shit, I might buy a controller at a later date, The spark i have now is way greater than the points dizzy even with a shitty earth to the engine and ignition system, Here are some pics of the setup and a short vid of the spark:
  16. I think its gear oil 75.
  17. Nah exhaust, Base timing is fine, I just loaded too much fuel into itnd retarded the timing.
  18. A bit of playing around today and the best i could get was a 2 second run, Slim (4ages) was over to help so it was him on dizzy, Me on fuel & carbs and the missus on key, It seems as tho the points dizzy just doesnt put out enough power to ignite the compressed fuel and air mixture, I have a vid of some good flamage:
  19. Thanks all, Hopefully Terry is at work tomorrow so i can pick up the linkage joint for the carbs so then i can get a vid happening. No worries, You know where i live.
  20. IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well lastnight i said to myself 'I'm getting the van running tomorrow' so i took the 4ac points dizzy and one of my 4age dizzy's and swapped the gears over so that the 4ac dizzy would fit so i can start it, This is only a temp solution until i buy a 4ac electronic dizzy, I didnt worry about indexing it as its just sitting in there, After a few hours of playing around this arvo and getting it to spark good it finally fired and ran for 10 secs, I would of liked it to run longer but its a bit hard with no throttle linkage hooked up and a K motor fuel pump being used by hand to fill the carbs, I will try to get a vid of it running tomorrow.
  21. As stated they arent the best filter, I got mine with my carbies but the foam will be getting changed to a finer filter filter.
  22. Hey i spoke to my brother yesterday and all that he has left for a lc/lj is seat and sill scuff plates.
  23. Sweet as, Be alright if GT legends actually f@$kin worked, Damn starforce crap.
