Unless i'm mistaken the extractors that got welded to the exhuast system in my old T-18 was used for both the 3t-c motor and 2t-g motor but for some reason the twin carby setup on the 2t-g wouldn't, for the life of me, fit to the 3t-c. But anywhat something else to throw in the pot - 2t-g head, 3t block and 4y crank.

Body = AE82 Drivetrain = AE95 I think one way to make it easier to figure out what needs doing would have to get both an AE95 and AE92 up on hoists and take pics and measurements of the undersides of both cars. That way you'll get a better idea of what the AE82 needs to be modified. But, like everbody else has said, its a waste of time and money. But on the other side of it, its left field, waaaaay left field.

Question Regarding Diffs For Blue Slips
towe001 replied to Trent-KE30's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
A litre of thick oil (75w ?) would be a lot cheaper then half-a-kilo of bananas. Heard it before but i still find it funny..... -
One thing us australians, ur, queenslands have to understand is that in austr.., ur, queensland is that a schoolzone is generally 20k's under the limit. Where as this is in adelaide so the road rules for school zones could pretty well be different. You could also say region to region. School zones on the sunshine coast are at most times 20k's under the limit between the times of 7:30am to 9:00am and then 3:30pm to 4:30pm whereas in toowoomba its 7:30am to 4:30pm....... I'd rebuke the fail. Laying claims that you were driving to the conditions of the road (posted limits, etc), you also felt it was nessary to slow down a little due to the tailgater - better braking distance (longer available time to react, etc), throw a wobbly in by saying most cars from the manufacturers have incorrectly calibrated speedos and that you thought it would have been safer to drive at 48k's incase the speedo read slower then what the car was travelling at.... But when you go for the test again...... do it with some one else :D

Its called a stoppie, using only the front brake. Personely i think the roadies do it better. Stoppies, wheelies, sitting on the tank while pulling either a wheelie or a stoppie, being dragged by the bike, keyhole burnouts. The crazy shut just goes on and on. Good stuff but :)

Go With A Brass Button Clutch Or .......

I'd be able to buy a car for that -
There was a write-up of one in Street Machine some time back and judging by the pictures they had of it, its not small. They had one of the crew standing at the back of it and if he reached up he'd be able to touch the bottom of the wing.

I'd say the best bet would be asking at 4wd shops or something similar. But for starters modding the rear would be fairly easy in the way of an axle under conversion, longer leaf springs, longer shackles and maybe lifting blocks (same as lowering blocks). But i'd take the lift blocks as a last option cause of the increased chance of axle wrap. The front would be harder to mod, but it still can be done. Like spacer blocks that mount between the top spring seat and the car body. Or longer shockies and springs. Harder but it can be done. I'd be thinking about a bigger radiator, cause of the fact that at times you'll travelling slow but to keep the momentum you'll have to be revving the motor abit. An electric thermo fan would be a good idea, more so one that you can switch on/off yourself. But most of all a good shovel, an air compressor for when you have to deflate the tires and a winch thats rated at least double the weight of the car (either car mounted or hand powered)

Sorry Nick but i don't think its a solid axle

2mm thick. Its not a plate but, 50x25x2mm rectangle tube cut down to size. In the pics i said it was 50x25x3mm, it should have been 50x25x2mm. Yeah i know what you ment with the threads but i wasn't overally worried with it cause the bolts cushed into the metal and formed it a little.

Sounds like a rolla i came across while walking home late one night from one of toowoombas "nightclub's". Very phucking loud, very randy and went like stink. But anywhat, my two memorable experiences. 1> On my L's looking for my first car, which i was planning it to be a datsun 120Y or 180B and could only find absolute crap-boxes. The best one being an auto with only the back brakes working. Mate grabbed the paper from me had a look "Hey, what about this one. Ke30 sedan 4k motor, 5 speed gearbox, needs TLC $200.", turned around to him and stated that it sounded like just another crap-box and that it wasn't a dato. So he twisted my leg to have a look at it. Got there and i fell in love with it. picked it up the next day, before the car turned up me mate turned around and told me mum that instead of car hunting i bought a $200 stereo for a car and didn't she fly of the handle then the rolla drove past her :2thumbs:. Spent about $800 including rego to get it on the road. 2> The day that i lost it to a drunk driver..... The guys 4wd ute wiped out the whole right side of the car. I still remember the guys blank look and his misses look of shear terror. Found out later the cops had to drag the guy to their car cause he was like water. The guy had no licence but his wife had a full licence and sitting between them with no belt or anything was their 3 year old daughter. Kinda makes a person re-avaluate the whole drink-driving thing.......

The brace is 25x1mm square tube. While the mounts are made from 50x25x3mm rectangle tube cut down to size. The motors going through a rebuild at the moment. If you don't know it here's a link on TwinCam.com for AE92 & AE82 Brake upgrade options....

You wouldn't want to have a loose tappet at those revs thats for sure

Use an oxy torch to heat up the steering arm then knock the ball joint out if all else fails.

Depends on which model T-18 cause the one on the '81 model looks kinda stoopid. Sticks out to far. I take it you haven't heard of a welder, hammer and dolly, body filler, primer and paint :P Its what i was wanting to do to my old T-18 after it got rearended by a sales guy for dulux paints. About the only problem i had (read - i couldn't be arsed) was pulling the dent out so i never got around to it. There's nothing like a tight-trim rearend :jamie:
