  1. You could always have a hose fitting on the block with a hose running to a tee-piece that has the oil pressure senders bolted to the car body. Just don't use copper pipe for the remote mounting :D
  2. Here here :P I agree with deathsminion to the lane filtering, if the rider wants to do it he/she is more then welcome to go past me. Its also the same on the road - i'd soona the rider in front where i can see him/her easier. And big wheels with little brakes. Mateeeee, shits me seeing a car wearing 18" mags and still using standard sized brakes
  3. Quite a few people in toowoomba here do that, but with a little difference - a left turn is taken from the middle of the road whereas a right turn is taken from the left hand gutter. Scored the bird and a blast from a horn one time from some drop kick driver who made a right turn from the gutter, i guess they didn't like it that they didn't stop me cause i used the nature strip to get around them. Phuckin morons.
  4. Left-hand thread Not right-hand Otherwise the bolt will undo itself while the motors running
  5. What a hoot Go the Giggo..... Off the road and into the dirt
  6. What a hoot Go the Giggo..... Off the road and into the dirt
  7. Been there... and now i'm so damn use to narrating the, what ever, i can't shut up now a days.....
  8. Kinda reminds me of the ex-girlfriend........ Pity the poor sod No not really HAHAHAHAHA
  9. Wait till ya empty a jerry can full of diesel into the tank  Don't trust what you read either
  10. Mate, a Super Custom is almost like a lumo in a box. Was trying to con the girlfriend into buying one
  11. Now i know what a junkie on withdrawals feels like :) Big thanks admins :y:
  12. I'd just gone and sourced a 1uzfe as well as a c56 g'box. My ae82 seca's up on stands with half its guts now sitting at the dump waiting for me to mid-mount the v8. You, my friend, have now just gone and burst my bubble :D Now what the phuck am i too do........ :o
  13. Body looks good but the face looks like Ugly Betty's been hit with a cyborg mask. But if its going to be RWD i'd be kinda interested to where their going to source the g'box from. Yeah, maybe Subaru for the drive train, but i can't really see them re-tooling for a RWD-only g'box for such a "cheap", eco-box type car (but then again, they could just wack a couple of plates over the holes for the front driveshafts, etc and re-tool for a new bellhousing). My guess would be that if their planning on keeping it within toyota the g'box would be, maybe, hi-lux (super-super strong). For the price their planning on i'd more then likely see it as FWD then rear drive. Unless alot of the parts are going to be inter-changeable with the Echo/Yaris models to keep the cost down for a new g'box.
  14. I wonder how many g'boxes he's been through ?? Along with driveshafts ??
  15. You could always see for yourself if its easy or not and get back to us with your findings :D :n: But seriously i'm only kidding
  16. You could also drop into a couple of the tire shops and grab some of the catalogues. Most times they'll say what the pcd is as well as the centre hole.
  17. I know toymods had it one stage.
  18. I've got no problems with mine and its standard height. Maybe your suspension is shagged or you've got a fake 4wd version like fords longreach ute.....???
  19. I'd go for the rims and tires over the springs. Unless your springs and/or shockies are shagged. All i've done for mine is 15" rims and 195/50 tires. And had a wheel alignment set to what i wanted and not the factory settings. Almost handles like its a rear wheel drive now Which is almost how i want it. Have a surf of the net and google for things like "front wheel drive handling", "front wheel drive suspension", "make a front wheel drive handle", etc
  20. If i had the money i'd modify the intake side of the head so that the intake had a straight run from the carby to the valve. But........
  21. I'd say it'd be possible, i know that springs and leaves on 4wd's can be reset for more height, but from what i've heard its a bit of a hit and miss affair with the sagging. Sometimes they'll last for years other times you'll have to fork out for a whole new set within a week cause one side died in the arse...... Could always hit it with an oxy torch and stand on it. Seen that being done in an old 70's suspension and handling book. With the cut springs i'm on the fence. At least you can "tune" the suspension/handling to how you want it. More for a dirt-track oval cowboy racer type - you know cut the left front spring down more then the others to sharpen the left turn in.
  22. Top one makes me think T-series (maybe te37) Bottom one from a coupe
  23. Well well good ol' toyota interchangeability, just like the c52 - not only used in the corolla but found in the starlet too (some also have factory fitted LSD's)
  24. Yes you can but you'll more or less need the complete 4age motor to do it. Far easier just to swap motors etc. Head gaskets ARE different. The silhouette of the gaskets are similar but its the little things that make the difference. So is the head bolt torquing. Could always swap in the 7afe (1.8litre) block for something little different. Might be able to get away with using the 4afe ECU. But i've heard that the 4wd's g'box isn't as strong as the FWD g'box
