The 3sg powered mr2 is the sw20. To me, practical would have to be cost, ease of getting, fitting and drivability. But anywhat, i'd say do some cross-referencing. What i found so far is - http://www.monroe.com/ has some PDF pages that can be downloaded, but the measurements are in inches. Plus an eCatalogue. But you can't cross-reference from the part numbers themselves and it seams like the part numbers for Monroe Australia are different http://www.trdparts.jp/english/list_shock-cartridge.html http://www.trdparts.jp/english/parts_shock.html Doesn't list all the cars, but still. Something that i found interesting is that the front shockies from the ae82 are the same ones used in the front struts of the sv2x.

Ah, i'd take her to the panel shop. Get her fixed good and proper :P No point in doing a half-arsed job for her to go and do it again and again and again

If you have a look its not a mermaid It has no titties, people

1 minute of absolute pleasure followed by an 8 month rollercoaster ride of hell, heaven and slavery followed by shear hell.... Congrats on the good work dude ;) I'll be in the same spot around the start of december

Sept 2004 And if Beattie gets his way, this'll be a water front veiw

Nar, i don't think so. The spokes of the mags on the rolla are skinner then the b45's. Plus their curved like the Work Meister.

May not be an Ed Roth but still not to bad i say :) :jamie: All you need now is a mexican blanket for the back seat and it'll be sweet as

Drill and tap the exhaust for a spark plug. And two switches, one to charge the coil and the other one to fire the charge to the plug. Think of it like the old points system on the ignition.
-
Try mucking around with the timing.
-
While your driving the car turn the ignition off, leave the gearbox in gear, pump the gas pedal a few times and then turn the ignition back on. If you pump too much fuel into the motor you'll blow the muffler apart. Unless you do the same thing as what a mate use to do and use a slip joint on the exhaust. But i reakon the worst you could do is crack a piston or two or...... maybe even do in a ring or two or...... Mind you its funny as all phuck when you scoot past a cop who's booking someone and hit the key.

Checkout "Jonny's Old Corolla Site" http://winterpalace.customer.netspace.net.au/ Click on "T series engine conversion". This'll give you a good idea on how to mod the x-member to properly fit the motor.

Either way its not a ta22 celica cause the ta uses two separate gauges (speedo and tacho). The trip meter has a one piece slot, like the odometer (or what ever its called) and its reset button is outside of the gauge and on the tacho the red-line is at 6500rpm, doesn't have a yellow-line before the red-line, it uses double digits and has "x100 rpm" above the brake light.

Most likely the reason why i thought it was only the twinky that had the mounting holes. I never bothered looking that far....
-
It depends on what model ae82. Cause the twinky was the only one that came with the factory brace, the other models you'll have to drill and tap the mounting holes on the firewall for the brace to bolt too. Otherwise buy aftermarket or DIY one yourself. The one i made that goes strut to strut the bar came from a late model lancer.

The cable could even be stretched ? But like you've said " had the hand brake tightened". As a laugh the pads could even be around the wrong way. How about lubing up the brake cable, i know from experience with push bikes that when the brake cables got tight a squirt of oil on the cables loosed them up and they started working good again.

For me it was a case of the driver not understanding what a crossing was. At a set of traffic lights i had the green walk signal and the guy in the car was turning right cutting across my path (which ment i had the right of way). Almost ran me down, abused the crap though me for walking in front of his path. So i took a step back to make the dude happy, he started to drive off and stalled the car. I walked passed, the dude didn't like that so when he got the car re-started he parked the thing and proceeded to follow me into a shop, and right there in front of a secruity camera, staff and customers slap me around the face a couple of times and shouting at me. The shop manager called the cops, who questioned the staff, questioned me out the front of the shop, i pointed out the guy that had the go at me (who it seamed like that he drove around the block) so they pulled him up and questioned on the otherside of the street. Now the weird crap.... The cop gave me a call later that night to tell me that i was lucky that i didn't have a go at the driver the cause the manager would have been in his right to sue me...... my story was different to the people in the shop the cop told me that the driver did not physically slap me cause i did have the marks of being slapped (took over an hour for the marks to show up), i asked about the camera footage, "no, we don't have to veiw that"...... my story was incorrect to the driver's one cause an automatic will not stall and that its impossible for an automatic to stall. You can press charges but it will not hold up in court.. So i hung up. Thinking about it all now i could have seen a lawer about it

Does it really need new rings ? Does it burn oil ? Low in compression ? Low oil pressure ? My thought would be that since your only planning on using it for a short time would to use new gaskets and give the head a freshen up. This is what i did with my old 3t and drove the car for about other year or so till a front brake caliper seized, the bottom raditor hose blew, the heater core got hole in it and i traded it.

Well as ya all would have guessed the nicks "towe001" some of you would have seen me around the traps as "towe_001" on the old toymods forum. Real names Rob, Robbo, Robert, or whtever just don't call me late for dinner. The cars > KE25 that i'm slowly doing up for the road (read that as that the rust is working on the car faster then me) . Don't ask about what motor i'm planning for the old chariot. So far the choise is either stick with the 3k or nick dads 4k or use 2tg power or swing a different way and go g13b from a swift/serria. >Mildly moded AE82 1.7lt Twinky seca thats undergoing a make-over :jamie:

The C50 g'box weak spot is the synchro between 2nd and 3rd. Too many quick shifts etc can damage the synchro. One of the best ways of fixing it would be to upgrade to the C52 and learn how to down-shift by heel-and-toe and learn to take it a little easier on the up-shift. Or the preventive way would be to learn how to down-shift by heel-and-toe and learn to take it a little easier on the up-shift.

:hmm: Proving that the time, effort and money to prove a point would just prove to be a waste of time, effort and money in proving something pointless. :y:
