  1. Love those things, and most other British sports cars of the era (Sunbeam Tiger anyone?)
  2. Captain Morgans shits all over Bundy, and holds it's own against Bacardi. If you're after rum, then it's solid. If you don't like it, then chances are you don't like rum at all. Me, I love it. When I was over in Vila, you could get a 1L bottle of Captain Morgans overproof, 57%, for $25. 51 standard drinks per bottle....:lmao: Was going to bring one back, but already had my 2-litre customs quota (1L Benedictine = $31, 1L 50% OP Southern Comfort for $25). Smirnoff Blue 50% was $18 for a 1L bottle, g/f brought back one of them and a $16 Smirnoff Red.
  3. Because he's in Norway maybe and Girlock is an Australian company?
  4. "New" as in it's still 14 or so years old. AE102 chassis.
  5. Is it a duct or is it a filling point for some kind of fluid (drinking water etc), or possibly an outlet.....or maybe it's an intake for the drivers ventilation, but they don't need a ram-air effect on it. Been around a few V8 Supercars at the Prodigy workshop up in Newy, but can't remember exactly what it's for...
  6. I like old BMWs, and I like old Corollas. I also like my old BMWs to look like old BMWs, and my old Corollas to look like old Corollas. The only thing that should be swapped between them is putting the M10/M12 in the KE, or an S40 for the ultimate in pwnage. There's a KE10 running around Sydney somewhere with a Beemer engine in it, and it sounds absolutely off it's tits......looks like a KE10 too :)
  7. Probably not going to make this, will still be in recovery/buffet breakfast after the Toymods dinner, plus late checkout means I'll be maxing my stay at the hotel instead of going to the meet.....gives me another day to spend in Sydney with the g/f though
  8. Most people run SC12s on 4As because 1) they came standard with them, and b) the SC14 doesn't bolt directly up. Go to another engine, and obviously neither will directly bolt up so you might as well go the bigger one. In general Toyota people use Toyota superchargers because they are easier to find within their community, are more in-keeping with the background of the vehicle, and are relatively cheap and simple. Roots blowers are about as basic (and crap) as superchargers get, but bang-for-your-buck they are pretty good. Obviously if you have the greens you step up to a twin-screw Lysholm/Whipple, or stick with a much better Roots like a Eaton TVS (what the TRD Aurion has)
  9. Le Mans/Grand Prix obviously Bullit purely for the Mustang, the rest of the movie is average apart from Jacqueline Bisset Ronin Italian Job (not the Los Angeles Job) American Graffiti (how can you say no to a drag race between a '55 Belair and a '32 Ford Mad Max 1 + 2
  10. A TOW BALL????!???!? Why the hell would you want to tow something directly behind THREE JET ENGINES??? Forget pulling up behind it at the lights, imagine having something sitting there for hours on end getting blasted with hot exhaust and flames/soot/etc. And funny he says it "tows easily" yet says that it's slow out of the gate, surely another 100% of net mass hanging off the towball will do wonders for the power/weight ratio......not.
  11. No offence (and it's a bit off topic), but your brother is an idiot. Swerving is the LAST thing you should do if you think you have a flat tyre, along with slamming on the brakes. You pull over gently so as not to disrupt the handling of the car. If he truly did swerve just to see if the tyre was flat, then he deserved to get fined.
  12. Structural steel fabricators next door........their press sounds like bloody gun-shots, and they just love using it to piss us off it seems. At least they move out next week. Ohh, and in the background, Sex On Fire by Kings Of Leon on the workshop radio.
  13. Doesn't work, Taswegians have two brains.....one in each head.
  14. Is it a KE55 sedan or coupe? There are major differences in the tailights Plus, early KE55 sedans have different style tailights to late 55 sedans.
  15. I have seen air-compressor set-ups before (one that springs to mind was in a Sigma). Always in paddock bashers, always incredibly crude, and always blew up very quickly. Best one I ever saw had a low-rated pressure regulator on the output, so that it was putting out supercharger-like pressures. Still requires obvious things like a boxed carby though, otherwise it physically won't work (postive air pressure in open carby means no fuel gets sucked through the jets.
  16. Or GT Falcon
  17. Zombies obey the 5-second rule, remember.....so just make sure you fall over before they get too close
  18. For about half a second, awesome. Then face-palm.
  19. Fixed... I prefer the Series 2 though, especially the interior....fortunately I don't suffer the ghey Series 2 wheel problem either (got Series 2 SX wheels on there, suit the car to a T)
  20. The gun shop across the square from the shopping mall.....you know, the guy who you've been sending messages to the last few days. Don't you know anything?
  21. Boso, which I class as rice (and crap)
  22. *double face palm*
  23. A lot. And it's also a dedicated drag car, 20V head, nitrous, and basically runs on liquid money.
  24. Hmmm, this is the day after the Toymods Christmas dinner....good reason to stick around overnight and make a weekend out of it
  25. Movie shoot? Needed some cheap shots to fill in a background, maybe they need houses next to a runway so everything became a scale model..... Or a stunt for the next season of Top Gear...
