  1. depending on funds i would really like to make this, last years show was tops
  2. Well my dads best mate is in the process of putting an EJ20 into a KE20, qccording to his measurements it'll fit fine, and he'll even be able 2 change the spark plugs
  3. considering the leaf springs limit the droop of the shock, aslong as the shock isnt bottoming out why waste the money? If they are bottoming, measure the distance between the top and bottom shock mounts, take 3 or more inches off that measurement, the head to a parts place that has a shock catalog with open/closed shock measurements (from memory gabriel shocks catalog has this) and find a shock that fits. Then order that in a short stroke format.
  4. personally, i jst wish all states would hurry up and adopt the national code so that there isnt this stupid "each state has different rules" crap
  5. i thought the rule was you couldnt weld any forged or cast suspension parts?
  6. y couldnt u just support the bonnet on the skin at the far edges or corners and then stack a few books on the bracing with the bonnet upside down? Makes sense 2 me
  7. i recon the ADM spec ones look hell better but only when they arent cracked and shitty and the black strip across the top isnt saggy and it is chrome. Definately gonna machine a set up for myself at some point that arent shit and wont sag and no i wont be doing sets 2 sell coz i already know its gonna be a pain in the arse, lol
  8. my KE70 with full trim, sound deadening, SR all the suspension work ive done and a tank of fuel weighs 1020kgs (520kgs front 500kgs rear)
  9. when i put the SR20DE in mine (same gearbox) i mounted a VDO electronic speedo in the old dash, means i can adjust it when/if i change wheels/diff gears etc so its always right
  10. insurance? u mean they cover modified corollas?
  11. if u feel that way inclined, i'll be working in orange on friday and sunday night. After 9pm on friday and 5-9pm sunday arvo/nite, i'll be parked at the corner of kite and peisley st's sitting in my car watching a stupid building (damn security work), drop in and say g'day, chances are i'll be bored as shit, lol Other than that i work most weekends (fri/sat nites from 8-1am) at the jack duggans irish pub on george st in Bathurst, again, drop by and say high, I'm the big dude out the front with the orange vest freezing his titties off (seca) Beau PS i have a flat black KE70 with konig rewinds and a gilly lip and quad lights
  12. if u want to bolt it to your exsisting gearbox go a 5M or 7M, if u want silly hp that is easy 2 fit go a 2JZGTE (supra motor) and if u have waaaaay to much money run a lexus V8 heres a link 2 a crown build u may find interesting 2JZGTE crown build
  13. lol, the wagon idea will still be going ahead, hopefully in the near future (next 12 months) but it wont be a rolla wagon. Hey, i need a tow vehicle don't i? :( I was thinking this: Plus this: should be just enough to tow a 700kg trailer methinks :)
  14. prolly gonna keep it now, not enough interest and i don't have anything else to drive atm
  15. don't copy my engine mounts, they are actually quite shit, find mick on here with his KE30 sedan, light green, thats the proper way 2 do engine mounts
  16. I'm definately selling this, i'll just be putting kybs in my struts tho, I'm definately not getting rid of my uber expensive koni inserts. Make me an offer, a sensible one and it could be yours. and kebin, the next thing i'll be building will definately be building a high quality wagon. Prolly wont be a corolla tho, they are fun but a little 2 small for a lad of my stature
  17. depends what model you have The base model with no options is closer to 900kgs and the fully optioned model is about 980kgs
  18. I found out i gotta work the whole weekend and i can't knock back 8-12hrs shifts atm
  19. Metropolitan Driveshafts just off parra rd on james ruse drive in granville, theres a massive blue tailshaft on a sign out the front and it on the right between parra rd and the M4 if u r headinng north Ive had a few tailshaft dramas and they have fixed all my problems, decent prices aswell
  20. Just a few other piccy's from around the track The remnants of a marshalling point The old rallycross pit area, this is now a dog park The old Pit Paddock area near the start finish line What looks to be the remains of a bank of sorts for spectators The crap that is the majority of the lower infield now Hope you lot enjoyed my pics
  21. Tightish left hand sweeper onto front straight Hi tech pit area (note feint white double lines) Finish line Now the Dirt bit The dirt section splits off to the left here drops down off the track surface and to the right along a little straight secton and then a nice wide left hander, after this point its all overgrown and i can't tell exactly where the track went this is where the dirt returns on the other side, as u can see its really overgrown here on the left is the dirt return
  22. Part 2, i got batteries now Long straight leaving the hairpin down a hill into a sweeping left hander, the chain wire on the left is where the swamp is starting to eat away at the track. more safety fencing Down the hill, gently sweeping long right into... The return of the dirt section on the left and up the hill to the right into... more sweeping right and the imfamous tunnel of love fairly sharp downhill right hand sweeper onto the front straight
  23. can't drive on it anymore, you can only walk around it. Whilst i love the history of the place there is no way in hell i would drive around it at any speed. I'll put the pics up when i get the chance again but just wait till i put up the tunnel of love pics and parrot, even in its current state, its an amazing place, it just oozes atmosphere of a bygone era i don't think we'll ever see again. I definately advise a walk around the place. Theres a thought, how bout a cruise/walk to catalina?
