  1. yes indeed... just add fish lol I'm in need of a good, dosent have to be reco'd just not thrashed and healthy...
  2. diff whines are very common and if its the diff it will make a louder noise at diffrent speeds for example mine is worst from 60-90kms 90 or more and it goes quiet. as for the plug, if its a little old you may want to buy a new set, gap them properly and wack in some fuel cleaner. i kept on getting fould plugs, even try going to a hotter plug on the cylinders that are fouling i.e no 2.
  3. Yeah that's what I'm thinking, 90% sure that the heads are the same ge/gte pistons are definitely different, rods maybe..
  4. would i be right in assuming at 1ggue pistons/rods would also fit for higher compression..?
  5. Sorry if I offended anyone, i support racing, I'm just not particularly excited about drag racing.. even if i had a quick car I don't want to slow down after 400m.... lol yeah may need to get a custom timer in.. lol i can get off the lights reasonably in town, get a few car lengths in front of most bommerdoors but apart from that...
  6. ke70's? what would you want one of them for??
  7. ah don't know? some lint and a bottle top? lol what condition is it in? if its minty power house spec ill pay for it :lolcry: PM'd rob edit: PM'd simon
  8. Need a 4kc, good condition is a must, can pick up anywhere in tasmania. Will pay for a good one.
  9. do you have by any chance a complete open centre. i have a spare housing, axels brakes etc. the sale with the ke fell threw??
  10. haha, na simon my own money pit.. its a little run down needs some love
  11. WTB: early GZ10/MZ10/11 parts mainly a complete drivers door including working power window mechanism. also an uncracked dash would be sweet. but if someone has some more parts let me know...
  12. old seat belt..? would it do anything? you need some power or a hell of a lot of abuse to bust a uni joint.. i was refuring to how low most of our rollas are.. i finally have a car that will do under 20seconds :y:
  13. probaly more the amount of rain we get here, there are a lot of winding roads that are wet most of the year around and our road quality leaves much to be desired.... but hey, i think my car is a little safe than a std one even though some of it may not be agreed with by some authorities. I wouldn't do anything that i felt was unsafe.
  14. damn straight Casey is a dumb shit, he struggles with lego... j/k yeah all the information is available on the Internet, just make sure you use google and the forum search engine at the top of the page before posting the in the questions section.. I would encourage you to get an RX7 IF you are sure that your able to afford the the insurance, and maintenance of owning a old sports car especially a old rotary turbo or otherwise.
  15. ok well it wont hurt to change them. not like they are expensive time and its really just general maintenance.
  16. pppfff, mod plated :) what is this you speak of?? oh that's right something they you need for states outside of Tasmania :) I modified my std rails to suit, I'm confident that they will be safe in the event of a roll-over.
  17. did you spill oil when you where filling the motor back up..? if your servicing it you may as well chuck some new plugs in, remember to gap the correctly too, i wouldnt think this is problem. have you checked it again since you serviced it..? is it possible that you spilled, water, coolant so some other fluid in a hot place?
  18. no one really wants to spend money, if they have to or not..
  19. hahahah are you serious? does the timer go over 20 seconds?? apart from you nick the rest of our cars are slow!! i would be aiming to get down there in the same day...
  20. are you serious?? 200hp from a 3.8?? thats perthetic, seriously its very very gay. a guy on here has done his conversion into a earlyer ke and he calls it a led tipped arrow, it majorly f@$ks up the weight, not so much by adding it just it moves it forward of the cross member.. anything will fit, may as well just put a 253 V8 in. has been done to a t-18 if your doing a conversion may as well do a desent one with a desent motor for the work thats involed.. a non turbo 2jz would be a better option, most probaly lighter and puts out more power... in standard form another option is a 20V, its alot easyer of a conversion and it makes desent power in standard form and it would be able to be passed for rego because you arnt increasing capacity or cylinders. you can also use all the engine mounts/box. they are cheap these days.
  21. 2 connections go onto the passenger side of the box, then it runs to the engine loom and threw that plug you have highlighted. grab the std engine loom and figure out where the wires go from that, should be able to trace them easily enough
  22. your wireless....
  23. is it the diff or box? this wouldn't be effected by driving for 10mins but it is uncommon to find older toyotas with silent diffs.. my diff howls like a dog... if its not these 2 with it doesn't sound like them, its probaly an air leak in the manifold/carb
  24. cut the tabs off of a ke70/ae71 cross member that hold the rack and weld them on the t-18 one, not exactly rocket science...
  25. ke70 and ae71 front ends are identical, only one side engine mount is diffrent. so yes you can swap a ke70 cross member into it. bolts in the same and all. i belive that if you get a t-18 cross member (3t-c) that a 3tgte would bolt in without custom mounts.
