  1. Yeh. Check it. But let me just add this disclaimer, if you don't like that music, I wouldn't like to push it. Push it some more. I haven't heard this in an a la la la la long time. Whoa. Crazy. I hope you're all rocking out safely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7movKfyTBII
  2. Alright you crackers are AMATEURS Except you Felix, you're the only one that beat me to those two. Let me inform you about the old school. You hearing Snow's Bass? Yeh. That was pretty ACE. BAM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96jFtzVa80A
  3. Yes there are and you've clearly done your research. Where do you live? Because there's no point me telling you about a place in Adelaide if you live in toowoomba. Look in your yellowpages for Chroem, Metal plating, metal finishing, car restorations etc. Also, local swapmeets almost always seem to have a stall run by people whose business is restoring old chrome. And just to close out, have you considered the cost. I've seen some immaculate bumpers for sale in the past and the seller has spent at least 300 bucks on getting it chrome plated. it is not cheap.
  4. WTB threads are popping up lately, been moving plenty that are in the wrong spot.... BUT I've solved it: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/50226-read-this-wanted-to-buy-threads/
  5. Just a quick reminder people: Wanted (WTB) threads have been popping up in all sorts of places lately, in For Sale, in Automotive, rides etc. It's less mouse clicks for me to delete a thread than it is for me to move it. This is where all the "wanted to buy" threads should be posted. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/forum/86-wanted-to-buy/ If I see them elswhere I will just delete them, no notice. Please post them in the correct spot.
  6. Case Closed!
  7. Damn I'm jealous of you being the owner of this brown extended cab awesomness. Am I weird?
  8. KE Motorsport. Email him, he was/has in the past made plenty of them. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/forum/110-ke-motorsport/ And if you look in the sales section http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/49852-4kc-turbo-kit-and-motor/
  9. 135hp at the fly is a lot for a little 4K NA motor. That's what most of the race prepped 3K's seem to make. My 5K is just shy of 100hp at the wheels, so I'm guessing around the 120 mark at the fly. Lots of cam and a shitload of compression. Very keen to see your build. Not a lot of people are building tough NA K motors, they just talk about it.

    Spotted

Yeh I spotted you the day before that in almost the exact spot but you didn't see me haha. Now folks, tell me; there's a KE17 SL that's been parked on my street in Coro Valley twice in the last couple of weeks and it's in exactly the condition that I'd like to buy some day. Original bodywork, paint is reasonable, it's all fairly straight etc. Few dings etc. It's a strange colour, like a very very pale blue-green, almost white. It's nuts. I nearly put a note on it, I been thinking of doorknocking until I find the owner just to have a chat to them! Totally unmolested, I think it had mags on it.
  11. There's pics in the engine bay of a red 20 valve powered KE10 from Adelaide. If you look in the SA sections for pics from Toyoshow or All Jap day from a couple of years back.
  12. Screw the commercial TV industry, the Demolition Man prophecy is coming true. They can't continue to force more advertising than actual programming down our throats like this. I'm sick of catching a repeat episode of the Simpsons that I know line for line and BAM - cut to advert, wait a minute, what happened to the punch line??!? Not only that but when a new season of a show comes around they pad out the new episodes by putting old season episodes in the middle. Pay TV is almost as bad, and you pay for the privelige of watching their ads. It's no wonder that the rise of internet streaming, fast net connections, prolific piracy and the likes of Youtube are fuelling the demise of commercial TV.... Suck it!
  13. everyone started slapping Gas Research carbies on their cars (especially Rotors) back 10-12 years ago but then they got bored of it. Gas allows you to run a higher compression ratio than petrol, and more comp = more efficient = moar powah.
  14. Because the Profile number (45,55,65,75) is a percentage of the tyre width, not an actual measurement. for example 245/50 R15's have a tyre wall of around 122.5mm. (245 x 0.5) It's a common misconception.
  15. And also the dodgiest thing to do....
  16. These are in a 5K head, but keep in mind that I used "4K springs" for my 5K. Unless 4K springs are fatter than my 5K ones, or the 4K spring pockets aren't as deep, then it should be all the same. At the end of the day, you still must measure up and calculate what is correct for your engine. Your point is...? There's a difference between a coil-bind failure and spring fatigue, it was a 25 year old spring haha.
  17. I've had great success in the past with an old piece of bike tyre tube and a very large pair of multigrips that dad has lying around. Wrap the threaded section with the rubber and grab it nice and hard in the multigrips, should be able to swing on that. You may get there with some mild heat if these are steel, get a MAPP Gas torch and lightly heat the bottom section for 30 seconds, even 100-200 degrees will be fine, just enough to relax the outer thread on the inner. You know the deal with heating steel Dave, the danger comes from tempering it and making it brittle. if you're not getting a phase change then there should be minimal risk. EDIT- looky here, I found a pic of my tyre tube trick for undoing the top nut on KE10 struts. Straight outta the FAQ
  18. Ok, got my mags polished and on the car, but now they're dulled a bit. But you get the idea. I'll get a better pic once I've cleaned him!! Also, bought some 911 turbo seats on ebay to fit in my 911SC. Pretty stoked, much the same as the previous ones, except Turbo ones have much bigger side bolsters. Good times. SO the plan is to fit the normal 911 seats into the rolla, mainly because the necksnappers in there at the moment are trashed! Check out the seat mounts, good old Ferdinand, these would be the easiest seats to mount in any car.....
  19. hahaha. good idea Lots of LOLZ!! You know what is also a good thing...? CALM DOWN! A very good friend of mine had a pretty neat little Datsun 1000 coupe. He'd done a lot of work on it, he loved it, 'twas his pride and joy. One day he "retaliated" to a gringo that was tailgating him, with a simple "brake check". Oh yeah, we all know it, the old tap on the pedal so the lights come on and old mate shits himself and jams on the picks.... Lots of LOLZ!! So the dude rammed him. Yep. That's right. Rammed the back end. (WTB Datto 1000 taillights). Then he rammed him again. And again. You think it's easy to get away from the guy, because you can drive like Schumacher, but when my mate went to go around a corner, this bloke would use the Datto as brakes! This is the point where all the tough guy Michael schumachers step up and start boasting how they would have sorted this dude out.... Let me just say, my mate is one of the biggest dudes I know and wouldn't think twice about jumping into a blue. But his datto was a write off and the crazt ramming dude just sped off when my mate pulled over. Another bloke I know once told me: "it doesnt matter how crazy you think you are - there's always someone crazier" and that is the moral of my story.
  20. Poppy seeds are worse. WGMG - Road Rage
  21. Luc I might be able to roll round and chip in. I'll have to wait and see though, I work in O sully so if I'm doing a weekend I might be able to drop by. Will let you know. Otherwise, weekend of the 16th if you still need work? Should be no problems then What about weeknights?
  22. Rubbish. 12 months of regular driving and .48 lift before I broke a valve spring.
  23. When I was living in Melbourne a few years back there was a ruckus because vicroads had been "busted" for overcharging for custom plates, they were only legally allowed to pass on the actual cost of creating custom ones. As usual though, they changed the legislation not the prices.
  24. being stood on?? :hmm:
  25. I hate it when you're listening to gangsta rap and hear sirens and think it's the 5-0 chasin yo down. Always makes me pull out my Gat uneccesarily.
