Witch Pedal Box For Ke70 Other Than Ae71
LittleRedSpirit replied to yohann's topic in Engine Conversions
Just depends if you have an auto or manual car doesnt it? If I had an auto e7 and no ae71 pedalbox Id just get any manual ke70 brake pedal, swap it in, and source an ae86 clutch pedal and mount, which is cheap. Drill 3 or 4 holes and its perfect. Its not too hard to make your own solid line either to suit adm or jdm t50s. -
Looks like a tidy one. Well done. Any plans to modify?

Witch Pedal Box For Ke70 Other Than Ae71
LittleRedSpirit replied to yohann's topic in Engine Conversions
T18 with some mods, or you could use an ae86 clutch pedal, and ae71 auto pedalbox for the brake and to hold the steering column, and swap to the brake pedal from the original ke70 pedal box with the wide auto pedal. Works perfect. -

If you are going to go through the heartache of doing something with a dizzy that sticks out in the wrong spot, you may as well be doing a 20valve conversion in my opinion. The whole point of a cheap conversion is to run a factory ecu, but with the 4afe you will need to extensively change the ignition system, creating a need for an aftermarket ecu. I say do it if you have the seca and a good aftermarket ecu laying around. Otherwise, if it were a good idea, wed have done it by now. You can always do the poor mans 4agte and use the fe bottom end, ge head, slap on a turbo and boost it hard.

Yes, ADM sprinters had a 4ac - T50 - S Series diff combo. Bigger diameter struts in the sprinter, but all laid out much the same as a ke70. All the suspension is straight swap, even the strut tops are the same in Australia. You can use most any AE86 component in KE70/AE71 suspension.

AE71: T50 gearbox 4ac 1.6 engine, came only in the late model front, but some people swap the front ends to the older style. Slight difference in diff ratios, ae71s are bit taller thanks to the extra torque. If it says 1.6 its an ae71 most likely. KE70 4kc engine, k40 or k50 gearboxes. Had early and late style front ends. Slightly lower diff ratios. Not much more difference than that. Mostly they have a hicam badge which is just a marketing thing. Pretty sure they were the same 4k as a ke55. Different trim levels were available on each. CSX or XX models had mags standard - 13x5.5. Both were available in auto which I don't know much about. The ke70 early style chassis had a couple of minor differences, such as the different mirrors and therefore doors. Hope that helps.

How Do U Remove Ke70 Contol Arms ????
LittleRedSpirit replied to aaron001au's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
don't bother with ke70 arms, throw in some xt130 ones and cop some better handling, they bolt in the same but a bit longer = camber. -
Not sure, but I think it might be Rosco

Arent we all, lol. :P

Apology accepted. If you want to vent, that's fine, but perhaps a little fore though and editing would go a long way. I don't honestly think there is any safe place to make those kind of remarks. It was a big stretch to tun my remarks about young inexperienced P plate drivers around to be about your local gang wars, and your hatred of certain racial groups. That has not a single bit to do with me, and I resent the implication. We are all created equal in my eyes. I hope you can understand why we wont tolerate that on Rollaclub, and it seems you do.

Your post was offensive to most everyone who would read it. If you want to complain about censorship, you're a long way from Kansas, Toto. This is not a democratic place. This is a place provided and administered by private individuals who happily spend time and money to provide something brilliant for others. I'm very upset that you tried to lump me in with your racism. I have a mixed Aboriginal and White family and I take personal offence at your remarks. You are as ignorant and uninformed about the relevant indigenous issues as all these urban f#@$wits you describe. Perhaps you are an urban f&*(&with? What grinds my gears is the entitled attitude that some people have about the site. Its here for everyone to come together and share ideas, parts, and to connect with other people all over the world, of all nationalities. If you want to refer to your previous, trashcan bound post, then lets just say we did you a favour by removing it. It surely was going to lose you some friends, and the respect of your peers. That post nearly ended this thread for everyone. I'd much prefer this thread was able to continue as it has been, a slightly tongue in cheek way to come and vent, have discussions about things you are passionate about, and to laugh at the odd funny post.

I believe WIGGA was still there last time I checked. So was the pov version WIG64. Also I think you can still get BLKTOP for the 20v or SR20 enthusiast. What about IVACAR, IVADIK, IH8BUM, UH8JDM, JDMH8R, IH8UM8, TAKUMI, H8RUDD, H8MYGF, H8FORD, H8V8S, BNDOVA, H8DEFX, H8RTA, JPSPEC, BASHME, IH8PPQ. We could go on all day. Best to decide whether you want to reference the car or the driver with the plate then go from there. I prefer plates relating to the car.

I guess at the end of the day you can complain about unfair stuff all day when it comes to sharing the streets. I too too agree that driver training needs to be carried out in more depth, I think that's the key to slowing the road toll. I think that you also need to realise there are people around about the age of my parents that never really had a test or anything to get a license. In the old days if you made it to the Police station in a car, you seemed like a good enough driver. Bear this in mind next time you are driving near an elderly person. I get as frustrated as the next person with the Police State we have on our roads. Unfortunately no matter how many times you get pulled over, unless you can take something through the courts and have a go at beating the law or the ticket, theres really no point telling anybody about it. I had my share of pullovers by police as a young driver. As for your claims of driving perfection, I'm sure you can drive. That's not exactly why you have accidents though. I think you failed to see my tongue in cheek way to say that there are a whole lot of inexperienced young drivers out there, who simply lack practice and the judgment that comes with some experience, and as such might appreciate not being harassed by people who wonder why the hell they are driving so poorly. The only reason why this could upset you is if you truly believed you are a good enough driver to not need to follow the rules. I fail to see it. At the end of the day I can infer from your post that you, indeed, are not a P plater at all and as such are here whinging about other peoples problems. So what have you got to complain about?

Making a caster adjustment so your car looks like a d1 car is a bad reason to do it. Looks have nothing to do with correct wheel alignment. If you put a bit too much caster in then it probably high speed oversteers which is what they are doing it for afaik, but honestly, the setup in those cars is not really going to translate onto a street car. Have you seen what the lower control arms, tie rod ends and caster bars look like on those vehicles? They are usually crazy aftermarket setups from trd or cusco.

Come on mate, stay focused, I'm talking about young drivers, not old. Just wait for your first big acco, then you wont be so 'fight the power' about the need for P plates, or the road rules. I think you have a little too much rage over a fairly inconsequential road rule. There is no impact on your life beyond the possibility of added safety and patience for you and your hill start stalling, gutter rubbing, touch parking, non reverse parallel parking kind. Ive been driving a manual since I was 7 or 8 years old. I managed to get through my Ps without losing any points, and we didn't have to display plates in my day. :D To this day touch wood Ive never had an at fault accident. I'm in the minority trust me. Almost everyone I knew at your age was losing and re-losing their licenses, writing off cars, etc. All silly stuff really. :y: Sadly most of it was just down to the excitable nature of the young driver. I mean I'm a decent experienced driver and every now and then something still surprises me in a bad way. Trust me, everyday is a school day and you'll be learning behind the wheel till the day they take your car off you. What really grinds my gears is the attitude some people have,as though the rules don't apply to them, simply because they feel that they are special, and don't deserve to be lumped in any group with their peers. Rules are meant to be followed, especially those about road safety. If your poor driving ability and most probably judgement causes other motorists to be harmed, this sooky, child like defence of "oh well if everyone else could drive they wouldn't have hit me" wont do much more than provoke laughter from the magistrate. Good luck with that one. ;)

Black Vent Panel On Ke70
LittleRedSpirit replied to LittleRedSpirit's topic in Automotive Discussion
Cheers for the opinion. I don't like black bonnets, personally. I like original paint. This is as far as I could take it, visually. Any more opinions? -
I had a black sprayed vent panel from ages ago here, so I put it on. Not sure if I like it, maybe you all can help me decide. What do you all reckon? I like that way it matches the black under the screen.

On the issue of cyclists. Everyone needs to work together. My old bosses wife was koed by a cab on her cycle on the way to work when he clipped her. She woke up with a semi trailer parked on her leg and almost lost the leg. She has a permanent limp and falls over once in a while for no good reason. If you cannot realise how great the consequences could be for them and go easy you are a sub human worm and have no class. Sometimes I'm annoyed by them, just like all of us, but I'm annoyed a lot more often by motorists and motorcyclists. On the topic of the PM. Hes OK. Its early days. I haven't read one argument on here that had any research put into it or that wasn't just repeating things Ive heard in the media. How about we learn to think for ourselves and create our own opinions? Most people hate him and cannot even sight a reason. Welcome to tall poppy syndrome Mr Rudd. Don't worry, well all vote for you again next time. On the issue of P plates being dispalyed. Do it. Its the law. I like to know if someone I'm following is a P plater. Lets face it, you're all pretty low on experience and high on piss and wind and trying to impress your mates. We deserve fair warning. Don't deny us that and enjoy your fines. If you actually read the road rules and relevant legislation you may have a good defence from idiot coppers looking to exlpoit you. You have no defence if you do not know the rules you are supposed to follow. On this issue of respect. It must be earned, not demanded. If someone respects you it transcends age and experience. People will respect you if you command respect with your actions. Most people just have no shot at earning it thanks to their own behavior. Comments like, "do you know who I am or who I know?" are just ridiculous. Especially when they don't tell you who they are after saying it, or who they know. Yes someone has said this to me recently, along with some death threats. Being a mod isnt always that much fun. :P

Hey Trav. Glad to see this things on track for a win. If theres any bit you might need let me know. That RA40 diff is the only part Ive sold that's failed to date afaik. Still feel bad about it. I do know how you feel as my newly rebuilt diff died in 5 hrs thanks to no fault of my own. Anyhow, id love to see it in the flesh once its all running tuff as. Catch you later. :P

Just fit an aftermarket electric temperature gauge. Fit a sender in the cooling system somewhere. Fit a gauge in the cabin. Super easy to wire up. Then you know what temperature it runs in degrees. Thats a much better way to tell temp. Old gauges are very dodgy in my opinion.
