Update: the exhaust I got snapped at one weld, more so due to my abuse. I went back to the shop over a year later and they welded it up no charge. Nice!! i shall be back next time.

Stay on top of it or you'll have more rust than that to worry about. You'll need to find a few old cars at the wreckers or wherever that have the metal in the right places and weld it in where needed. Try to have the welds somewhere you can hide them like under the seal or in a corner or seam thats always existed.

I run cut stockos with TRD greens, works a treat, but yes, you need more coils than you presently have. I haven't modded my bump stops at all.

Thats a pretty big ask. Why don't you continue your research and your build until such time as you can write us a guide, rather than asking. Its not as common a conversion as you might think. Perhaps you need to talk to someone who has built this type of car before. There are a few on here, happy digging.

I dare say he means standard ecu for the 20v. Thats what I get from it. Go see a mechanic with the proper equipment to plug in and talk to the ecu. Hell tell you whats wrong with it. Probably just a bung sensor, broken wire, failed connection somewhere and the ecu manages without the information by clipping performance to safe levels. Lower rev limits, touch richer that type of thing. Maybe start with a physical analysis of the motor, are all the sensors installed and connected? No split or missing vacuum hoses? Have a look at the air flow meter. Is it intact, they are very sensitive items? If you don't know what any of the above terms mean, google it. Wiki has loads of general info about how efi systems work.

Yes, but you need the right tailshaft too. The t18s have a different output spline on the gearbox to ae71 so you can't just use an ae71 shaft. Not too sure but it might be a mix and match tailshaft job.

Ive seen a couple of awesome American acts live, and not one of them was into gun talk etc. When was the last time someone like Eminem, Dre, Ice Cube etc came over to AUS and put on a show? The Aussie hip hop world is pretty awesome, as far as the only people coming up are smegging decent, whereas in the United States the media plays such a big part in what gets out there, corrupts the whole thing. Who have you guys seen live? Thats the other thing I love about aussie hip hop, the live gigs. I was lucky enough to see Hilltop hoods in about 2001. Also saw DJ Shadow, Kool Keith, Blackalicious, Ugly Duckling, The Avalanches, DJ Q-Bert, Jazzy Jay, J-Roc from the beat junkies, Lyrics Born, Tzu, Bliss N Esso, Soma Rasa, De La Soul, Lazy Grey, Len One, Ken Oath, and anybody else mustn't be worth remembering. Standouts were Blackalicious for the whole act really. Also DJ Shadows gig was amazing, veejaying out the ass. I was luckily working at the gig with Q-Bert, Jazzy Jay and J-roc, was an awesome experience. Q-Bert was super humble as a person and really dedicated and hard working. Wierdest night ever, was technically working for the sound guys, after being hired by the promoters, ended up setting up for sound check, then put together the rider, and yes, it was dope. I'm talking chocolate, vodka, beer, fruit, chips, smegging cheese, man everything. I got so pissed I barely remember clearing up the sound gear after it all, but I got paid in cash and mega sloshed for nothing, while hanging out with some decent people. Qbert signed my copy of doctor octagon. Dope. Wicked Graf looking signature too. Kool keith was a great show, he has so many albums and personas that he kind of spoken worded some shit, and if enough people freaked then he'd do the track. Anyway, enough reminiscing about the past. Anyone else seen some good live acts?

Buy a Silvertop, sell the head and quads, fit forged low comp 16v pistons. install the bigport head. Boost its guts out. This will get you the same rods as a later gze, same crank too, also a 7 rip block with the bigger small and bigend bearing sizes. The most expensive thing is the pistons probably, but then it will definately be tougher. The 16v 4ages are heaps easier to turbo than a 20valve which has real issues with fitting a manifold over the quads and needs a compression ratio drop. Sounds like most of you don't understand the context of hip hop very well. Aussie rap is great. LC are the greatest, but Def Wish Cast for the old school fans are dope too. Also a big fan of Hilltop Hoods and Lazy grey. As for the other stuff, I could tell you all about a hundred different dope underground mcs from the states, the UK, Germany, Canada, Saudi Arabia etc etc. it really doesnt matter where your from. I can't stand those comments like "oh I love Hilltop Hoods but I hate all that american gangsta shit." It just says you've never truly set out to do the number one pastime of all true hip hop fans, Diggin! Anyhow, if you want to check out a few artists who arent all Gun talk and Diamonds, tun off video hits and hit up you tube to find some Aceyalone (dopest feestyles ever), Kool keith (Too much crack), Jurrassic Five (use of rythym and harmony in rap), D-Sisive (white Canadian MC who burns eminem), Jehst, Braintax (shout out to the UK), Haiku De Tat, Abstract Rude, Pigeon John (from deep in the LA Projects, and very socially conscious), Rakim (early originator of styles), KRS ONE (the most socially conscious of all), Cannibal OX, Brand Nubian, Sadat X, Blackalicious, Latyrx, Lateef the Truthspeaker and it goes on and on and on. Yes its a T series Diff, just like the mighty AE86 and most old rwd corona and celica models. You also have a swaybar, the first two years made did not.

I'm not saying make a massive change from your direction, just retain a little travel and run a softer spring on the street, then swap to the stiffies for the track possibly. Rear springs are the easiest to swap! Adjustable shocks may come in handy if you go this way. Anyhow, best of luck with the defect.
