If its the original from the car it should be R154. I think a lot of 1J cars had em too, so I bet thats what it is. That gearbox alone could be worth 1500 dollars.

The big hose at the 4th throttle is supposed to go to the Idle control valve. The icv isnt connected electrically on my car, but i still find it runs poorly, surges and dies if i don't have it at least plumbed in place. We probly need to know, are you using a standard ecu? Is it fwd, rwd? What have you deleted, and what have you left on it etc. If you are using a standard ecu you will need to have the idle control valve connected and working for the car to idle properly. You don't need a one way valve in the line to the map sensor either, if thats what you indicated. Sounds like you might need to source either an idle control valve or the big hose which connects it to the vaccum array under the quads.

You need a T18 Crossmember, steering column, and complete steering setup. Also a gearbox crossmember, gearbox, tailshaft, diff and an ae71 pedal box. Happy hunting. All standard parts, no need to fab anything much, just get looking.

Then you already knew the answer before asking the question? You should at least drop the compression somehow. Seriously though, the best thing to do if you want to know what it would cost would be to do some good individual research. The money spent can be kept down if you do work yourself or get some mates to help fab stuff. Just think about the motor and what you will need to install for it to function, find out what the parts cost, check different forums and see what you should be paying for them. Work out how to adapt it to the new space. Make a spreadsheet, keep notes and quotes. Eventually you will know what it costs to do, give or take. Research is free, and makes you lots of money. :( The price can vary wildly if you bling it up properly while building it. Polishing, powdercoating, brand new parts, etc. Make sure you budget to get a timing belt, waterpump, and plugs for whatever engines you are considering. A limiting factor for some higher hp motors could be the size of the transmission tunnel, and things like steering/motor interference, sump/crossmember interference, and poor weight balance. It all depends how you do it I guess. don't forget to budget for a surge tank setup or baffled tank, if converting to efi. Oh, and the E on the end of 3TGTE is for efi. :y:

I'm not a fan of your tyre fitment. Not enough rubber protecting those nice rims. Looks pretty low and close to the lips, have you taken it for a hard drive yet? The best way to fix the speedo is to replace the plastic cog in the gearbox, not to change rolling diameter. All you've done is slowed the car down, and for what? All the same I love the wheels, and the flare job is pretty nice too! :yes:

If this is done better, its a good idea. This is just ricey though.
