Maybe a dirty carb or possibly vacuum leak. Perhaps a problem related to timing advancement with rpm. If it only happens at highway speed consider that wind and or g forces could be moving poorly secured wires and hoses around and grounding them out. Is the timing advance working smoothly? Is it losing power when it hunts, is it surging or dieing out?

Should have told them to grow a pair of eyes cause its under the hoverboard rack and next to the polarity reversing circuit.

You can modify the stock airbox to fit. You can buy a noby booth airbox ex japan for around $400 that will fit and allow you to use small trumpets. Or just give up on the std computer and use aftermarket instead.

The difference between yours and mine Jake, apart from 1.6 litres of capacity :paperbag: , is that the 2az is a fwd only motor like the 2zz. With the 1uz you have the gift of rwd specific configuration and a known tranny combination. Thats why your coming out cheaper. Its a lot better not having to make manifolds from scratch.

Pretty sure those bars will work if you make brackets and find the long end caps.

I know of someone who had a 2zzge put into an escort by a shop. The shop bill was over $22k once done. I reckon if you did it yourself it would be like the 2azfe I'm converting except add maybe 2k to sort the issue of the bell housing. So assuming you build a car to the same specs as mine but with a 2zzge, you'd spend a little more for the motor, and the 2k extra to adapt a tranny. Otherwise its probably pretty similar. I just crested 12k this week on my build, and still with 2.5k to spend on it. So realistically, you'd spend 18-20k yourself doing the 2zz. If you've never done an engine conversion before it would be impossibly complicated. My figures on my build represent all facets of the vehicle. Engine, suspension, wiring, ecu, interior, chassis, paint, modified diff, etc. Engine alone if you had a minter to put it into maybe 8-10k to get done right. And you'd still need a better diff and brakes. Id love to see a v6 corolla with an mz or gr series v6 engine. Id also love to see a 5 cylinder volvo or ford motor. Nobody has done a cosworth duratec conversion before in a Toyota either.

Actually since you don't have an in production rwd gearbox to use, then its really hard. Its all custom to put on north south. Like the 2azfe except you need to make your own bellhousing.

I just realised the neighbours forklift has scales on it. I'm going to use that to weigh it all. I just purchased the fuel pump I need. Its a Bosch 984 external 5 bar 168lph unit. Its got a screw on end fitting on one end and a nipple on the other. Should be perfect. The 2az has higher fuel pressure required to make the injectors work than other motors I've set-up. It needs 57psi hence the higher pressure pump. I already have a nice after market regulator with a dial gauge on it and the fuel rail I need to convert it to a returning system. I just have to see if my carter lift pump has similar enough specs to use in the system. As Indicated earlier I'm going to try and fit all the extra efi fuel system parts into a removable box or tray for ease of set-up.

Yes and you can also use the later aisin j160 six speed from an Australian delivered is200 that came behind a 1g. G and T engines share a bellhousing pattern. Or like others said, you could also use a 3tgte box or a soarer one. This would give you a w 55 or 57 or 58 box.

Yes but he can only use engine and a few accessories, and its better to use a blacktop ecu on a silvertop anyhow, so you would gain nothing.

On a bike like mine, or most motocrossers really, the gear ratios are really close, so second is a tall gear in trail bike terms. 3rd and 4th are pretty similar feeling really to second, rpm doesn't die out from an up shift, which is important if you have more power to apply right away as you change to get up something. I was the same though, the first time I rode my mates kx250 2T I was pretty shocked (definitely mmh). I had only ridden a kx100 and a few 250 and 600 4t bikes before, and the power delivery just blew my mind on the kx250. I think 3rd was all I needed. The 450 I have now feels similar in total power (although it supposedly makes more) except its predictable, and its easy to ride steady if your riding with less experienced people or you've hurt yourself and need to limp back to the truck. its a bit more real world friendly.

Selling is fun, so is buying. Its the negotiation I like. I find it thrilling to be part of something tense with many possible outcomes. Its a test of my people skills and my patience (which could always use work). WGMG - Being a normal person with a normal amount of money and dealing with doctors in their world. Basically sold a lot of my spares to fund an operation, paid the money one week before on the due date by the skin of my teeth. Then got a call not 3 hours after handing over all my cash to say that the earliest possible surgery date has been withdrawn and its out of their hands yadda yadda. I explained that I had sold stuff I would otherwise have kept to pay for this operation as the date is extremely important with work projects etc. Ended up having to accept their shitty terms and get it done. Even though I just knew the guy wanted an extra week at Noosa (they already told me he was there). So the operation was done a week ago, and now they still haven't sent me an invoice that medicare will accept, so 3 weeks later after paying I'm still completely out of pocket for the surgery and anaesthetic. I ring them up to ask when its coming and I get an open ended response. I don't know how it must feel to be completely unconcerned about money, but it must be very liberating. Certainly would make it easy to lose sight of what people in the real world go through.

88.9mm is the measurement. Its 3.5 inches. 3.5x 25.4mm = 88.9. XT130 struts feature a cast on caliper mount and that spacing.

Looks like ae86 or ra40 type, without measuring angles you can't really tell. Both will be geometrically correct in an xt13xchassis afaik if run at the right ride height. What exactly did you order? In performance terms the bolt on style caliper bracket is desirable over the cast type as you can make brake brackets for the struts that adapt any caliper, without having to modify the strut. Id consider it an upgrade, unless you just wanted to put your stock brakes back on as is. Just as an idea, perhaps ask techno toy tuning what they sent you, as I'm sure you'd get a more positive response than the guesswork we could only provide. Also, I'm very negative about people jumping on forums and potentially bagging out businesses before they've even made contact with the business, with regards to rectification. Many times people just stop communication out of some butt-hurt pride issue if a mistake is made and ultimately miss out on any help they deserved by publicly defaming said suppliers and burning that bridge. So call Gabriel and Gia and sort it out, they are easy to deal with. Let us know how you go.
