Just collected the diff housing from Rick sendalls. I'm very happy with it. Took it straight over to diff lapping with the LSD centre for it. Should be done in under 2 weeks. Ricky is also making the coilovers for me. Once I get all this back ill bolt the driveline and suspension into the chassis. Then I can find and flare the wheels into the body before painting it.

Yes we are very lucky to have a 2 storey, 3 bedroom home to use there for free. It even has water views. Downside is there is nothing to do there without a boat and a motor. We most likely will invest in a tinny for future trips.

Yes the diameter of the standard spring is too great and will hit the strut tower sheet metal is you adjust camber. That said, it is a wise investment if indeed the standard ones are gone. Make sure you accurately measure the strut top bolt pattern and provide that to Techno Toy Tuning, there can be variation in strut patterns from continent to continent.

I hear you and there is definitely something to be said for hard work. Yes there are people that are lazy and will complain and not work, I've paid my dues, I did an apprenticeship starting at 21 that paid $6 an hour. Quite frankly I've earned the right to complain. Now I run my own business so I see both sides, the wants of the workers and the needs of the business owner. I'm paying a fortune in tax and getting nothing for it. I think the Australian cultural stigma is that of the stiff upper lip, and it is that which you are perpetuating with your comments. Nobody likes a dobber/whinger/sook etc so nobody will complain when its completely valid for fear of being lumped into the negative category. Once again effectively marginalising the argument to one that a whinger would make, and removing through a social contract of humiliation ones desire to discuss such a thing. Just telling people; work harder, get a better job, make sacrifices or do more just makes us compensate for a lot of the problems in this world through our own hard work, when really we should be looking at why it is a problem in the first place. Offering direct comparisons to your own life of hard work is just putting yourself on a pedestal above the problems and all those who share them, rather than examining the problems themselves.

Well I'm 31, and I feel 100% entitled to my opinion on this. Firstly, I'd like to know which decent suburb of Brisbane I can buy a basic house for $250k. Thats not possible. I can dig up financial statistics all day long that back up my comments if need be, there are many studies on this. I live in Brisbane. The cost of living here is growing incredibly in the last 10 years and I feel it was unnecessary for the most part. I 100% reject and resent your implications that I or others my age do not work to secure our futures. My point is that we are working harder than our parents have ever to get far far less. I also disagree with your comments that a dream home only costs $500,000. If it were my dream home Id be living like I'm in a Jay Z video. Clearly you live in a more affordable real estate market than I. On a more personal note LJ, perhaps relax and put yourself in a different state of thinking for this debate if other peoples opinions, as you put it, "slap you in the forehead". There is no tone of violence here, and just because you disagree with a comment, is no reason to read it in in your own angry tone, become offended, and respond as such. If people are going to post in this thread they can express almost any opinion they want, exchange and discuss ideas, but the moment someone comes on and make it personal it will not be tolerated. If you passionately disagree with someone's political ideas, please don't just come and say you can do this or you can do that, or my parents did this or that, justify your point of view, don't just have one. Teach us something, we are all students, politics is a complicated subject. There was a series of egalitarian comments Alan Jones made in the media a few weeks ago where he sided with the politicians point of view and my reaction was to say, "theres a man who sees him self as PM some day." I can only assume the labour party has felt the same way about him and has attempted to nip his political career in the bud before it even starts. Alan Jones, consider yourself marginalised as a crazy person. The fact that they dug up this comment from an off the media radar function and promoted it... to put it into perspective the QLD education minister made a really inappropriate sexual comment about how he "wanted the speech pathology girls to examine his anatomy" when he was at uni because they were all so hot. There was no media so he never got hammered for it. Sucks. He even leaned over to his minder and said, "was that inappropriate?" sarcastically. This was to a room full of mostly female health workers. They were all disgusted.

Nobody has a gun to your head making you work in an environment that has drug testing if that doesn't suit your lifestyle. Welfare drug testing is a means of marginalising young Australians as criminals, making it ok to control their lives, and micro manage their very existence. The best way to keep all your rights is to reject such a proposal. We need a greater focus on domestic affairs. Less law enforcement and regulation and stricter penalties when you do wrong/ʞ©$ɟ up. Crime should be considered as causing problems for others and not for yourself. There are a lot of different things you can do to put the focus back on the individual to better themselves and come up to the level of society, rather than creating a system that shelters dummies from the consequences of being stupid. That just sounds like a great plan that an economist can put on paper without ever having to acknowledge the environmentalists and their arguments for trimming back our expectations of constant industrial and population growth. Lets start up a puppy farm of neglected welfare children to stock our military, pay more taxes hopefully and lead to economic power eventually, at the expense of the quality of life of individuals and the longer term sustainability of the nation. Megan sucks. Better off with the bcs or buy ae86 struts, a coilover kit and have the work done. What is your goal with the coilover? Height adjustment? Performance? If you want performance invest in some high quality dampers. Use a setup that lets you choose different inserts to control damping, or you are limited to the tune ability of the unit, and I don't rate Megan bits. Just kinda cheap china made us ebay junk. Who knows what the valving is like.

Sure, your new house will cost the same as your old one, but the key point is it will be affordable to buy a new house for your family by selling the old one. Remember they probably paid maximum 40% of the houses current value when they bought it. If they have had it for over 20 years already then they are definitely due for some good capital gains upon selling it. So when they come to sell it, if I were to buy it, I have to raise a deposit equal to what your parents probably paid for the house in the first place 20 years ago to make paying it off affordable. The more the house costs, the more you have to borrow, and the more interest you pay in the end, the more deposit you need. Not to mention increases in council rates, stamp duty, petrol, food, rego, education, fines, and all the other crap that fleeces your money each day. Buy the coilovers with the stub axles on them, its much easier than ʞ©$ɟing around welding stubs on. I think the te27 steering arm is mandatory, the ae86 type, while they work with the strut, may well want the tie rod end to interact with the steering arm at a different angle, unless the angle here was the same Id steer clear and wait for some te27 arms.

Its only boring if you truly do not care what happens to your world around you. The things we are discussing have very real implications in my world, and yours, you just choose not to acknowledge them, which is the attitude that has led to us being under the control of some very inappropriate systems.
