Gonna hoard them for a while. I may do a ke20 one day, Theyd be nice on a te27 looking 20 series rolla. I'm half looking out for another pair to widen to suit. If I could end up with a full set Id be stoked. I'm also kind of into old mazdas. So might end up with soemthing along those lines some day. Id like another 323 one day.

I've had the timing belt changed, it was getting a little slack and rubbing on part of the 4af waterpump that I'm running. The metal in the way was just a cast rib at the top edge of the water pump. Its been snapped off and its all perfect again now. Also did a spanner check and found some missing engine mount bolts. Put them in and it feels super crisp again. I've also run a few loads of diesel Penrite to clean the inside of the engine (diesel oil has extra detergents to clean the shit out). I'm glad I did, it turned a lot of the sludge in the motor to a gel and it got caught in the oil filter. I even pulled off the top cover and the black scale in the head is now beginning to peel off to reveal nice silver aluminium around the edges where the sludge used to gather. So now I've changed over to full synthetic Penrite and hopefully that stays cleaner for longer. ʞ©$ɟing handbrake is out of adjustment again. I might need to invest in new pistons for the calipers some day. You just cannot win with Toyota rear brakes. I could forgo the cable and run a hydraulic handbrake I guess.

The only reason they want to explore other planets is to explore resource sources. Its all part of the military industrial complex anyhow. It all is. If there were no potential economic payoffs at the end of the line, then the US wouldnt be party to it. If they were noble and wanted the world to be a better place they would have invaded Cuba properly sometime in the last 40 years and sorted Castro out. Hes been living a few miles away from the US and causing problems for 40 years. But Cuba has nothing the US wants so they leave it alone. Also, those men that got in their boats a few hundred years ago, same thing. They weren't looking to help the world out and create scientific information, its just them trying to secure the next continent full of resources.

Their my rims mate and they are not for sale. They started as some beaten up 14x6 ssrs that I got from the wrecker cheap with damaged outers off a series one rx7. Terry has done his magic on them and what sits before me is a beautiful rim.

Those wheels look fat! Were they the skinnys that I got from the wreckers?

Torana Xu1 Rear Boot Spoiler Will It Fit
LittleRedSpirit replied to frknstn's topic in Automotive Discussion
Sorry will dig the thing out of storage and pose it up for you guys when I can. -
Yeah I know, He now needs to understand that Ill never bother get him and his ungrateful ass any more work. He's just sabotaged me to the tune of well over $60. Selfish prick. Plus the guy who was employing him has decided not to get him back off the back of this shit. The funny thing is he will get paid his full amount and not have an issue, but now he's gone and made his ungrateful bed so have fun laying in it. He can just go back to struggle street then and starve.

Got a mate who lost his job a fair amount of work for myself, the companies I work for and some others. Now hes angry at me because he fears one employer might short pay him because we discussed what we pay our labourers, which is totally unfounded. So now I get angry messages and abuse, as well as the guy leaving me in the lurch for a days work tomorrow. And this is a friend who I've had for 16 years. Nice to know our friendship is worth about $60 or less.

Id consider buying a 4afe to rebuild anyhow, and switch to efi when you change it over. All the parts already exist.

LPG is 110 octane, straight gas is great for boosted engines. Why sell you just bought it? Drive it like you stole it instead. Depends if you want a street car or a track car. Either make it pretty, fix the rust and daily it or go all out buy a car trailer and make it a track car. Just don't go drifting on the street. Also if you want to be taken seriously, type properly with all your capitals and punctuation. You've done a darn lazy job for a first post.

The 1 C powered and rarely mentioned CE70 is a cool car. Its a shame we didn't get it here in Australia. Perhaps a nice mesh of old/new would be a 2c from a later CE9X corolla fitted to the ke70. Its not that bad an idea, they came with the superior supra W5X series gearbox from what I have seen and they share a bell housing pattern with an S engine, so if you get bored with the diesel you can fit a 3s or 5s to the car easy enough. The front end panels were a bit different too at least on the wagons Ive seen.

I don't know about worry free M motor headgaskets. Even Teddys overrated as hell MA70 7MGTE supra had about 30000klms and a bhg. I'm sure its not as big a problem as it once was. However I'm also sure that compared to the later 6s its night and day differences in technology. It really depends on your budget. If it was me, Id look for an NA JZA80 motor and manual box to put in. It would cost bugger all and end up with around 150KW and tonnes of torque. Sounds like a win to me. Plus it'll be efi and make better use of fuel.

I've got the shits today with my girlfriend. She is one of those "if its not mine its rubbish" types. So next to my desk, I had a pile of around 30 mostly unopened letters that I had to open and file or act on when I have time. Bank statements, CC bills, letters from the accountant etc. Important records for my business. I'm pretty sure there was an insurance renwal as well. This was seemingly an open invitation for my lady to throw them all in the bin. On what ʞ©$ɟing planet is it a good idea to throw away safely received unopened mail in any circumstance. Also, I'm pretty sure she has thrown away my summons for my court date on the 15th of October, so now I have to contact the police and get the summons resent. I just want to change the locks and pretend I'm not home when she gets here. I got nothing nice to say to her tonight. This is about the 50th time she has decided to take it upon herself to throw away my stuff in the name of this odd practice she has called "cleaning". Her excuse being, it was near the waste paper bin. Yes ʞ©$ɟwith, near, but not in. There is a ʞ©$ɟing big difference! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well I think its an awesome find. Put in a JZ series engine and gearbox. It already has the 7.5 inch diff and the bay and balance of the car is shaped to accommodate a straight six. Youd be best advised to get away from the straight 6 M series engines if its already having issues, as with M motors, a service is expensive as it includes a head gasket each time. I have no idea how the front suspension works in them, Id assume a Macpherson strut but honestly I have stripped 2 and on neither did I look at the front suspension. The price is cheap, even if its rusty as people will happily pay up to $550 or so for the stock diff, as its a narrow F series thats only 6mm wider than an ae86/ke70 diff. Saves shortening your tarago rear end.

20V 4Age Into Ae71....what To Keep From Donor Car ?
LittleRedSpirit replied to cam_459's topic in Engine Conversions
AE9x inserts are a good short stroke option for ae86 struts. They are the same length as trd ae86 short strokes, tokico hts, and a few others. Keep the car till your done and sell whats left. At the very least keep the engine wiring, the loom that fires the starter and reverse lights, clutch and flywheel, maybe the box if its the 20vs original gearbox as they are a good fwd box that people will pay for. -
May as well buy a sweet gearbox for it. Id have one if I could, and with this engine you can take advantage of one of the 100 or so ex v8 supercar trannys that are for sale at the moment, for an eighth of its new price.

Wankers that bring their race cars to my shed complex while during business hours and proceed to do burnouts and speed all around the yard, despite their being only one car width to get past all the parked cars from everyone being at work. Cue me to walk over, driver to smile at me and say, "Gday mate" with a proud as punch grin. Then cue me to say "How about driving sensibly in my place of business". Cue face drop of disappointed wanker who didnt get his ego brush. Also, had an issue with this fat ʞ©$ɟing wanker IT dick working at the place next door, who decided that rather than park his shitty big Vito van out of the way, he would run it right up to and block part of the entrance to my business, despite having open, out of the way parking spaces just 10 metres away. Cue me to rip the shit out of another fat lazy ʇ~~ɔ. Now the poor obese loser has to walk an extra 20 metres a day. Sadly I have prolonged his life by tripling his exercise routine.

Thats some of the most impressive driving I've ever seen. Well done. Edit: Log Bridge! Fark.

Oh the memories. Off to a flying start with this one!

Thanks mate, I've made it so there's an even 2mm between the vertical pieces and the top plate. I plan to line the lower side of the aluminium plate I make with rubber so that it cushions on the radiator and the little vertical pie shaped pieces. The pie shaped bits are just lightly screwed in place right now, but will be bolted in the actual car. It also uses the round post type bushes for the lower mounts. It has a plastic drain wing nut down at the lower edge that interferes with the chassis rail, but I have about 15mm to do something, so I plan to just fit a banjo bolt there and have a drain fitting further along.
