:S I got a phone call saying I can pick my car up from the mechanics tomorrow, will be able to drive it every day again. Not just to keep the battery charged, and now I have the extractors WOOT!!! I feel like Willie Nielson.... :D

:bash: Update, new parts new parts.. cv's rack ends and boots tie rods wheel bearings extractors cat WOOT!!!111's So far so good, couple of little hic-ups but still getting finished. Wrong cv's but sorted, three different part numbered rack ends, turns out camry ones fitted, bushes not to mechanics likings, sorted, and just the set up to go. I just want something that will handle better not like mad, so I have decided to have a play with -1 deg all round. I spent 6 hrs Friday morning getting things sorted but all good. And the exhaust now sounds sweet but still fresh so it may change as I drive it more. But atm happy as..

I used to get 180/220kms out of a 50lt tank in my ae82 4age, don't forget that you have a computerised car that needs to get used to being driven again with the a/c and stuff running. Just fill it with the appropriate fuel, drive the car normal like coz if you go to grandpa you will use more fuel than just driving it.

Try the basic carby clean, new fuel filter, may need some upper head cylinder lubricant. This may be a stretch but on my 4ac (ae82) one of the parts on the carb was also a filter and could be cleaned was black and had a circle sticker on it. And also check all the vac lines could be the one from the base of filter pan to the tappet cover...???

I'm waiting on dickhead mechanics to get back to me so I can give my car to a master mechanic to fit the new bits..............unsure would like details of metting and route please

I have a similar problem, it may also have some thing to do with the throttle body needing a clean and rebuild too. Well thats what Trev's boss said, as they have a wax palet used in the idle process in the throttle body( water runs around the trhottle body) heating wax to bring the idle lower if it has build up it may stick.

So what was the score, coz even with a high def set top box I can't get ch9 for longer than an hour of two.
