  1. In that case, plane no fly.
  2. OOOuuuuggggghhhhhh!!!!!! I WANT IT ALL!!!! The Stack TX8600 in steering wheel dash board.... only 2200 pounds!
  3. I'm so excited! I've just found that my yearly catalogue of automotive porn has just arrived! :)
  4. Some clarification needed. What drives the conveyer?
  5. IMHO the plane won't move. 4 Rollers won't move 400 tonne of a/c if it's on it's guts. 4 Engines won't break traction at t/o power if the brakes are on. 50K of thrust isn't that much when you look at the GE90's on the 777. They're pumping out 100k these days. Anyway, you'd have to find 4 RB211's that were working first.
  6. As I read it, an incorrect statement. If the wheels are rotating in a clockwise diection, the conveyer will be traveling in a counter clockwise direction, therefore the conveyer will be traveling in the other diection to which the a/c wants to go. Trust me. :D
  7. Why will the a/c move? As soon as it starts to move the conveyer will move in the opposite direction. It doesn't need the wheels to drive it, it just operates when the wheels move. If the wheels aren't moving, the plane isn't moving.
  8. But it won't move linearly on the conveyer belt, because as soon as wheel speed increases, so will conveyer speed. Wheel speed and conveyer speed cancel each other out, as Jamie stated. It does matter how much thrust you have, it ay as well be bolted to the ground. 52K lbs of combined 737 thrust isn't enough to skull drag 60 tonnes of a/c to any decent speed.
  9. Let me think about all this..... Ummmm, No. *CLICK* :D
  10. As stated in post 1, the conveyer is designed to go in he opposite direction to wheel movement. The wheels/ aircraft still has to have a forward vector to be able to go anywhere. Although the engine is the motive force, it still rolls on wheels to get there. Unless you're engines can give you a vertical vector, and has enough grunt, you still have to be able move forward. Nothing in the first post says that the wheels have to drive the conveyer, only that the conveyer moves in exactly the same speed (in reverse) as the wheels. Ergo, no forward movement, no airflow over wings, no lift.
  11. My brain hurts. In my humble opinion, I believe that the plane wont fly. As soon as you advence the throttle, the a/c moves forward, te conveyer belt moves aft at the same speed as the wheel. More forward thrust, more reverse conveyer. It's the same effect as if you put the brakes on and push the power (symetrically of course. Advance one throttle to take off, and leave the other at idle, and the plane jumps chocks and cuts hoops.) You can have both engines at take off power, and the plane won't go anywhereand unless the runway is wet, there isn't enough power to skull drag the plane, and you'll never get it up to speed anyway. No airspeed over wings, no lift, no fly.
  12. Dude, I hate to inform you, but if he's hanging up on you, not msm-ing you, and basically avoiding you, I some how think he may not want to sell you his car any more. Public slagging off in a forum he reads may not help either. I wouldn't hold your breath on him contacting you either.
  13. Depends on who you know. :) It's is also very illegal to run in your car. Big EPA no no. Big fines if caught. How will they tell? I hear you ask. AvGas has a very unique smell and every time I smell it, I know instantly what it is. So does any half switched on Plod. It's also not cheap. BP racing 100 or whatever they call it now is effectively 100LL Avgas, and I understand it to be around $50 for 20 litres. Could be wrong though. And you need to be able to produce a racing license to be able to buy it. Stick to ultimate.
  14. Dude, it was six months ago. I have difficulty remembering what I had for lunch yesterday..... I think I'm pretty certain it was unhealthy though....

LA1 engine LB1 Gearbox. If you upgrade the diff (smart move) LD1 as well.
  16. A three core KE55 radiator handles the 2T-G in rally conditions in Qld. About $300 I think.
  17. ....but how many are registered?
  18. "Mum, Dad, I've bought another car. I hope you don't mind." Loose one of them. sooner the better. P.S: My record is nine. Eight registered. Plus trailer. I don't live on acreage either!
  19. .... and Redwarf still tries to do the odd motorkhana to keep his hand in, too. Heaps of fun!
  20. It's only a requirement for QLD registered vehicles due to Government legislation. No other state has this requirement. It's only a requirement for QLD registered vehicles due to Government legislation. No other state has this requirement.
  21. Redwarf is a P1 car, great fun, and more competitive than most people think....
  22. Great. Now you can stop clogging up the board.
  23. Hmmmm, one I can answer. 1: Maybe. 20 series came out with two different diffs in them. If it is original, the 25 will have a Jap style front loading diff, whereas the 20 may have either a Jap, or a Borg Warner diff. A Borg has a plate on the back of the housing. Quick tip, if you look under the back of the car, and the housings look the same, they'll be interchangable. 2: Incorrect. KE30 diffs are not stronger, as they are the same as KE20 diffs. You can put the brakes on you car (Irokin did it to his) but you also change the stud pattern and your current wheels wont fit. 3: Yes it will fit, however you will need very small offset wheels if you don't shorten the diff. Celica stud pattern is also different to KE20, so once again, wheels won't fit. Lipping guards is a must. Axles aren't a whole lot stronger, but the diffs are good. 4: depends on how handy you are. Will it fit? Yes. Will it all bolt in? No.

Ummm.... not just any L18 head, you need one marked A87, they're the good one's, and if you're building any half decent Dustbin engine, that's what you'll be using. You use a particular con rod too, most commonally found in L26 (maybe 24's, can't remember) engines. There's actually some really good books on how to build hot Datto engines out there, some really good reading. Thanks for the vote of confidence, Felix... :jamie:

Ummm, you originally stated that it was in a 200B, now it's in a Stanza. Stanza I can half understand, as they were 1600 out of the box, but you'd have to be a bit slight in the head to pull a 2 litre out of a fat car like a 200b and replace it with an 1800. If he's pulled the L18 out to 2.1 litre, why not use an L20 and go 2.3 - 2.4? You'd also hav torque that coould pull stumps.... 80hp ATW? Dude, my 3K pulled that.
