Um, I do work for one.

Ryco Z9 on the Dwarf, and whatever Wayne put on the new one. Valvoline filters aren't the best quality, and tend to leak.
-
I thought Darlington was shut now?

Generally I believe this due to the fact that you don't really know the history of the pipes. They may last anywhere between 1 month and a couple of years. you'l pay gereally (yes, I know, you can be lucky and get them cheaper) 50 to 200 bills for them, and then have to pay some bloke a few more bills to get them fitted. If you buy them new, you'll know that they'll generally last you the life that you have the car. That's my opinion anyway. I always now buy new, and custom.

You should be able to get of the rack extractors for less than that. Do a search for "extractors", I know it's been discussed, and I think there were a couple of prices thrown about.
-
None at all, however, both myCorollas are road registered competition cars. The 3/4K has custom extractors, 2.25 inch system with a single resonator, and the 2T-G again has custom extractors and a 2.25 system and single resonator. The 25 is loud, and the 55 is hideous.

Hello and greetings fro your incompetent Moderator! The first two posts of this thread were meant to end up in the bin, and conversation was meant to occur on the other thread. Whoops. Apologies to all concern. I now return you to normal programing.
-
Up here most rally officials seem to wear flouro bibs, so you kind of get used to seeing them in the forest. Where's Tony with his naked man photo?
-
There are enough people out in the bush in a normal rally that you end up not really noticeing them. I tend to be focused on what ever is the furthest part of the road I can see. If you're not on it, I don't see you. Even if you are day glow! Although for some reason, naked people seem to get my attention.....

Hiya and welcome. After a brief search, and the fact that I remember this topic from a couple of days ago, I came up with this: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=5660 It's about a KE55, but the theory is the same. Also, buy new extractors, buying secondhand ones can be a pain, and false economy. Cheers R

My God, it's a complete new language that I know nothing about! :S

Get your mate to buy a Gregory's ( or similar). All the info should be in there. Get the valve springs to match the cam. Double valve springs can be a pointless waste of time and money if standard ones can do the job just as well. Just remember, his old ones may well just be tired and have lost poundage. Shaving the head for a reco wont do much clearance wise, and will ensure a flat mating surface when you put it back together. A big shave will result in increased compression, and depending on the shave, clearance issues in certain cars. Are you changing cams? Cheers R

I'm hearing you Brother! Using 4WD's as a scapegoat for people's driving inadequacies :S is the sort of thing I expect from A Current Affair, not from informed discussion. Proper training and experience for all is the key. Education is a wonderful thing if done correctly.
-
But don't you think that covers all drivers? Are you trying to tell me that it's only some 4WD owners that have no clue? Improved training should be across the board. Don't pick a scapegoat because it's convenient, and a minority.]

They already have a license for it. It's called light truck for anything over 4.5 tonne. It's your choice to drive a KE10. You'd be just as bad being hit by a Kingswood as what you would be being hit by a 'Cruiser. If not worse. At least Cruiser's have ABS, power steering and decent brakes, and God forbid, crumple zones. Perspective. I have a 4WD and I personally don't consider myself inline for extra training for it. They already have a license for it. It's called light truck for anything over 4.5 tonne. I also understand that the new Prado can out brake a lot of "family" sized cars these days, too.

CA. seem to be short of commas. We'll take up a collection for you: ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And a couple of full stops for good luck.............................. Anyway, try these (I don't know if they export, but you can try.): http://www.kingsprings.com/kings_master_catalogue.pdf For King springs, although they screwed me around mercilessly on a job I just did. http://catalogue.pedders.com.au/parts.php As used and recommended by Redwarf Motorsport. Dude, I the suspension place thought you have leaves in the back, try another place. Good luck. R

Whitesnake: Sailing Ships. Do you remember Standing on the shore, Head in the clouds, Your pockets filled with dreams Bound for glory On the seven seas of life, But, the ocean is deeper than it seems The wind was with you When you left on the morning tide, You set your sail for an island in the sun, On the horizon, dark clouds up ahead, For the storm has just begun Take me with you, Take me far away, Lead me to the distant shore Sail your ship across the water, Spread your wings across the sky Take the time to see You're the one who holds the key, Or sailing ships will pass you by You cry for mercy, When you think you've lost your way, You drift alone, if all your hope is gone So find the strength and you will see You control, your destiny, After all is said and done So take me with you, Take me far away, An' lead me to the distant shore Sail your ship across the water, Spread your wings across the sky Take the time to see You're the one who holds the key, Or sailing ships will pass, Sailing ships will pass you, Sailing ships will pass you by... Take me with you, Take me far away, We'll ride the wind across the sky Spread your wings and you will see You control, your destiny, So sailing ships don't pass you by So take me with you, Take me far away, We'll ride the wind across the sky Spread your wings and you will see You control, your destiny, So sailing ships don't pass, So sailing ships don't pass you, So sailing ships don't pass you by... Baby, baby, baby, baby, You'll find that you're the only one Can sail your ship across the sky

No, it won't. My personal advice to you is to get your spring and shocks sorted before screwing with swaybars. I never ran anything other than standard swaybars on the Dwarf, and it handles fine. I have however, got a well sorted spring and shock package.

2" is fine on a 4K. You wouldn't want any bigger.
-
.... but I've been talking to him again.... :)
-
Well, yes I do, I just happen to disagree with you. I happen to have a different view on it. It's a free country. I conider it to be the same as running the engines with the brakes on. No matter how much you push the power, it still isn't going anywhere.
-
I can see your point of view, however I'm still with Jamie. You still need wheels to turn to move a/c, and that won't happen with a conveyer underneath. My opinion is that you still won't have lineal movement, even if you have the f@$king space shuttle attached the airframe. I'm not sure there really is a right and wrong answer. I'm off for a lie down and a couple of panadol.
-
Yes, my friend. Yes they do. :) It's so much more fun picking it up in person though.

I can see your argument, I'm not sure I agree without a lot of brain strain that I'm currently not prepared to give!!
