  1. Tare or curb weight is usually dry weight.
  2. Gday Tom. I've taken the liberty of removing one of the threads from the two that you have posted, as double posting of threads is somewhat frowned upon. Very impressive school you go to however. Keep us posted. Cheers Rob
  3. *yawn* I could do more damage with the V8 ute I have parked out the front than I would do with my 4WD. Why? Because I drive the Pajero far more often, and know exactly what it's going to do. I think I'd be able to see more, and stop better in that thing, than alot of other cars on the road. They're here to stay people. Build a bridge.
  4. Try Metalcorp in Geebung.
  5. Valiant slant 6. Like a 3K with two more cylinders.
  6. Interesting. AFAIK 25's all had discs with Akebono calipers. My 25 is an extremely early one, and it had discs. Must be an odd ball. What year is yours? You learn something every day
  7. Another way is to get the correct sized spanner, brace it against something solid, and hit the key.
  8. Not a drama. Webers are a bit of an inexact science when it comes to tuning, hence they love a good dyno. I had the Brisbane GURU (and I man that in all sincerity) set mine up for both cars, but they still needed the jets fine tuned on the dyno. One car had to go bigger, one car had to go smaller. Computers are good, but EFI will never replace the sound of a good old fashioned Weber. :P
  9. Dude, dyno time os a must for Webers. Possible jet sizing wrong?
  10. Let's just say "no". It's easier that way.
  11. however, all 25's came with discs.
  12. 110mm x 4. Mazda Stud Pattern. 13's are quite easy to get hold of. 14's are rare. KE70 pattern is the same as KE30/55. Been talked about before, a search should find you the right info.
  13. Nick, tehy come as small as 28mm. That's what originally came on the 2TG. They're bigger now. :o
  14. They'll work very well if you get them dyno'd by someone who knows what they're doing. Hell, I know people running 45's on L16's, so 42's should work.
  15. Why bother? They have to be about the same size, and TA22 brakes are hidiously thin.
  16. Yes. Depends on what you've done to the motor. No. BTW, they make great paper weights. IMHO Webers or Dellortos are the better option.

  18. Because ACA are vermin, and when the revolution comes, the Producers of it will hopefully be first against the wall. Followed soon after by Today Tonight. Doug, I feel for you. Comply to the letter of the council by laws. Your kids deserve to have fun as much as any others.
  19. Hmmmm. Nice. Do you have an upright kit, or have partially uprighted it? The reason I say this is because you have decent air cleaners on the Webers, which normally never fit... :y:
  20. It's the same as any other car. You'll experience a power drop, and an increase in fuel consumption. I wouldn't bother unless your doing over 1000kms per week. Even then it'd take you a couple of years to recoupe the savings. Thumbs down from me.
  21. Either that or a straightening rack. You really shouldn't have a 2" offset unless something has moved, which on a 20 something year old car is a possibility.
  22. How long is a piece of string? My guess is that a lot would need to be custom fabricated. However, anything is achievable with time, skill, and of course, money.
  23. Locked until such time as I get an answer to WTF this is about. R
  24. Dude, what Toyota says a car weighs, and what they really weigh, are often two different things. I estimate my 55 Hardtop to be around 950 - 1000kgs. My 25 is 840kgs. A 30 ain't lighter than my 25.
  25. I didn't see Felix's post. Great minds think alike! :y:
