  1. A list of the approved VACC signatories - VicRoads VASS Pick one located near you and make an appointment. I used Enkelman and Associates in Braeside for my conversion. Stern but fair.
  2. My brother went up there at Xmas to find a good campsite as we normally go up over new years. It was full of Mosquitos and the river was black and full of dead fish and logs. So that trip was cancelled. Hopefully it sorts itself out if this rain lets up. I asked Rohan about that when I was there last. Apparently the 20B has come out for some R&D and the owner was in the middle of selling his place and moving etc so the boat had taken a back seat. Having said that, it would be awesome to hear a 3 Rotor closing in from a few bends away. He was saying that the V8 blokes were pretty pissed that it was killing them all. The organisers didnt know what class to put it in, so they let them enter whatever classes they wanted. They won every class and were closing in on the leader in Unlimted when an oil fitting failed and ruined the winning streak.
  3. Unfortunately thats the weekend of the Southern 80. I'm not ashamed to say that Fast boats and chicks in Bikinis wins in this case. The car show was a great event last year, so hopefully it gets the same crowds. don't forget to get pics of the Rotarys for me.
  4. I modded the cradle that supports my steering column, so it sits about 20mm higher. Thats the only way i can see it being modded so you have more room. I raised mine for two reasons. -The top of the wheel used to block off the top of the speedo and tacho -It made for a more comfortable driving position as i prefer to muscle the wheel, rather than sit in a recliner.
  5. I hope you have the car in the shade, that suns got some bite today. Hopefully the warm weather sticks around a bit longer so the paint gets a bake. I've decided i might bite the bullet and order a Go Pro HD off ebay. You got yours sorted Mick?
  6. Totally untrue. Look on the NSW road authority website and you may find some authorised engineers and consultants.
  7. I had 83mm Hypereutectic Pistons in my 5K. They were a Gemini part number, but machined to suit.
  8. I was watching the wingnut.....might want to get rid of that until the filter goes back on.
  9. Heres what myself and a few other KE30/55 owners have done to setup an Hydraulic Clutch. Maybe you could adapt the style to suit the KE70. Hydraulic Clutch
  10. Havent used them in years. Last time i went there, the old bloke had his daughter running the place. She was a rude b#@ch so thats why I went elsewhere. Having said that, if the same blokes are still working there then the workmanship should still be top notch. Never had an issue with their work. Price wasnt bad either. I've been going to Central diffs in Springvale instead now. I had my Skyline diff converted for my KE30 by Total Traction in Moorabbin.
  11. They have a different bolt pattern. Apart from that i'm not sure. Pretty sure its the '55 one that you use in the VN V8 Master Cyl upgrade etc
  12. Mmmmm Boost. I've heard the stories from Dan about how off its tits it is. Looks like alot of fun with the bpt. Too be honest i'm a bit over mine at the moment. I havent driven it for nearly 2 weeks. I live 15mins from work, so by the time I warm the rolla up and drive there......i could already be at work if i drove my daily. I need to plug a few holes in the firewall with grommets and give it the first oil change. I'm sick of getting out smelling like exhaust. I plan to spend some time in it over the Xmas break (speaking of which, I just finished my Xmas break up lunch for work......I'm about to go drink a few litres of water and lay down for a bit)
  13. I want to lash out and buy a GoPro HD Camera for Christmas. I'm hoping to bolt it in somewhere so i can record the Great Ocean Road Trip. I'm also a bit wary of what i post on the internet. I'm happy to post dyno clips and idling in my driveway, but i'm not going to post clips of me giving it a squirt as i've heard too much about people being done under the hoon laws for it.
  14. Hey Stu I don't have any cooling issues at all at the moment. The car heats up to about 92C before the fan comes and and drops it to about 87C. When cruising, the fan is off and the temps drop to 83-85C. If i hold a piece of paper infront of the car, it will get sucked towards the radiator from as far as 400mm away. Rohan does have some nice gear there. The 13B in the showroom is almost too good to bolt into a car. The 20B plates in the showcases are just awesome bits of gear. Theres a $600 figure on my bill for grinding and nitriding. I recall him saying there was a few thousand dollars alone in isotropic coating on the plates for the 20B he had in the showcase. What was the reason you dropped into Xtreme? I think I have everything sorted now. Drove it to work today and took a few blokes for a spin. All of them got out with the same grin from ear to ear closely followed by "F@CK ME" I've convinced myself the bulk of the noise is induction noise. Outside the car, the exhaust is pretty loud but its not as though its a car without mufflers...but when driving I get a bucket load of induction noise in the cabin which i think makes me a bit wary of police around. I'm going to leave it until i get done and plead that its all induction noise. I'm not sure what the legalities are on induction noise as the only tests i've heard of are exhaust db testing.
  15. Just had a look on Ausrotary. Seems easy enough to make if i could weld aluminium. Might give ASK Aluminium Fabrication a call and see what one of their boxes is worth. Its probably not worth my while rooting around making one.
  16. Thats the type of setup my builder suggested i use. I just went with the chrome k&n filter for ease. Apparently Webers need an airbox or such around them for them to work properly. Something about needing air volume. Filter socks are apparently a big no no.....just something I didnt realise. What did that airbox come off? Looks right at home there. I think i may go with that setup. don't suppose you have more pics with the airbox lid off and exactly where the pipes are plumbed to?
  17. I like the idea of the varex and its remote control system. Would just be a case of trying to install it where it would fit.....which is kinda limited. I am keen to see what db my car actually puts out, as i suspect alot of it is induction noise and the general engine noise you get from extractors (up front i mean). If it were a steady idle, i suspect it wouldnt be too bad. However its got that BRAP BRAP that just makes it sound over the top.
  18. I wonder how much it affects flow even when its open. My system doesnt join into a single pipe until just before the diff, so i'd have to see how long the cable is or maybe just plumb it into one pipe.....which i'm tipping isnt recommended. Would be nice to have so i can shut the car up and play dumb if i ever get pulled over. You think its loud.....must have been induction noise you heard officer.
  19. I've run out of space for more mufflers. The only thing i could do is unbolt the existing system and get a cheap restrictive system made up to pass any testing. Its pretty loud. My stereo used to be kick ass. Now I have it turned up to the point of distortion and i can't clearly hear the song enough enjoy it. Fortunately its only a weekend car. So I don't normally start it mid week. I'm thinking about getting more sound deadener for under the carpet and double layer over the tunnel. Its like a sauna in the as well, even if its 15deg outside. The extractors come off the engine and go directly under the pedal box, then cross over under the gearbox to the passenger side. So all that heat radiates through the firewall, tunnel and drivers side floor.
  20. Who owns a White Corolla on here with the plates "R011A"? A workmate spotted you this morning.....he would have been on a yellow Honda bike. He noticed the RC sticker, so he thought he'd tell me he saw it.
  21. I got a very good deal and everything was basically scrapped on my existing motor, as it was kaput. It all got replaced with 13B gear and machined to suit. I'm not supposed to advertise what price i got it for, but i'll send you a PM instead. BP is fun and it goes like a rocket. However its a matter of time before I get attention from the Police. I've been lucky enough not to pass any Police and I avoid certain areas. When I pull up to a set of lights, I get other drivers from 3 cars away looking around to see whats making all the noise. I pulled up behind a Harley one day and the rider turned around to see what was making all the noise. So i'm just waiting for the time when i pull up next to a Cop or he spots me. I'm running 2 Rotaflo Resonators, 1 Rotaflo Rear Muffler and small Redback muffler that was added later just to take a bit of noise out of it. So all that and its still off its tits. I know the majority of the noise is induction noise, but a cop wont buy that if he spots me at full noise. I did get that fan switch sorted too and rewired it as suggetsed. I have two switches installed now (one is a backup).
  22. I think the problem is that i've never had an interest in 4age's, nor have i been a member or searcher of toymods. I only read a select few things on this forum aswell. So i don't really have a good knowledge of members and what they do. I wont be buying that house. It was an overpriced s*#t hole. Drove the rolla out to lunch in Healsville today. I spotted 2 blokes a yellow 4 door KE30 on P plates turning off Chandler Rd onto Heatherton Rd in Noble Park this arvo. I wasnt quick enough to catch up and see if they had an RC sticker.
  23. Was house hunting in Endeavour Hills today. Pulled into a court for an open inspection and was greeted by a guy by the name of Sam Q who lived a few doors away. Got a tour of his shed and some nice looking machines. I've never met or heard of him, so I thought it was quite random.
  24. It would cost you more to make one than to buy. You can pick one up for as little as $5
