you really shouldn't be looking at the rust either. they come from factory with it :abuse: but seriously, dash gauges, interior condition (carpets, seats, roof lining, door trims, plastics) and the famous rust places (rear guards, lower front guards, radiator support panel, chassis rails, boot, fuel filler area, corners and edges of windshields)

everythings better than everything else. my old ke70 was better than my ke55 coupe. but my partners ke55 coupe is better than my ke70 was. it's all subjective.

flintstone power that sucker there raven.... -
there's nothing more fun than driving round waving and being an idiot to drivers you don't know. i've stalked people i know while driving mate's cars...sooo much fun.

nice and easy...if you think $1500 is a good price, it's a good price. some members wouldn't pay $1500 for one...others might pay $4000.

things have gone sideways a bit... the tailshaft is in, took it for a strap around town, all seems to be fine. will take it out tonite and head down the freeway to make sure it's properly good at high (legal) speeds again. but i've now sold my daily ke55, Barry, so the 20 is on for daily duties again. which means i'll now have to sort out the exhaust issue and probably get the weber fitted and tuned also.

no probs dude...i know i'm not in a very accessable location for anyone!

the only diff b/w them should be the emissions gear... swapping the head and inlet from your 3k to the 3k-c block will make it into a 3k again :nervous:

i have several BW tailshafts from ke3x-5x cars i've stripped, but the diff in my 20 is a jap one. so when i busted a uni joint on the jap tailshaft, i got new ones ordered. the first set were for the BW tailshaft/diff, so i had to order a second set a week later once i found they were the wrong ones. i tried cross-breeding the uni joints, using the jap diff flange and a BW tailshaft, but to no avail, the uni's are just too different to mix-and-match. all the tailshafts from ke2x -> ke55 are the same length, so you can use a BW tailshaft from a ke3x-5x in your ke20

no coln, the uni joints are different between the ke20 jap and BW diffs i just went thru the headache of the differences b/w the jap and BW tailshafts and unis.

|blink| branding me as nuts!! well, i guess so considering how loud and badly my 20 is running, yet i still drive it down the GoR! and rather than taking it off the road and getting it fixed, i sell my daily and have to use it 24/7!! but on another note... Simon, set a tentative date ~ 1-2months away...this will give people a heads up on when they'll need to be kinda organised, and also let you know what weekends are out due to weddings and other major arrangements. and because everyone's so spaced out around melb (well, we're all mainly from the country/non-metro areas) it takes us extra long to get the can's and string connected for conversation/discussion/planning. since you have a route planned already, it's up to us members to work out which dates we can make, not which route we can do. i had more stuff to put here, but it all went out the window since i got some chocolate and pizza in me :nervous: cheers dF

to be honest, we really just stole everything from others... as every country has its own native sport, like oz has AFL, finland has Pesapallo (straight translation = baseball). some dude took the american version and sped it up a heap back in the early 1900's. hunting moose and reindeer anywhere beyond 1hr travel from Helsinki, the higher you go, the more populous they are. and wearing aforementioned moose and reindeer pelts. santa and his elves live up in Rovaneimi. up to 3 months of darkness way up the top, and of course the opposite in summer. not quite as bad in Helsinki as it's much lower, but you still get 24hr sunlight for a month or so down there. known for inventing the sauna, as well as the best (my biased opinion) vodka producers in the world, Finlandia and Koskenkorva... "the land of 1000 lakes" and the only airforce made up entirely of insects, "the mosquito army" so what do the finns do, they have kesamerkki's (summer homes) with their sauna's right at the lakeside...nothing better than a midnight sauna and then a 5 meter running leap into the lake! good times... *** i almost forgot about the country towns...their driveways are also the roads (not so much now-a-days, but if you go remote enough you'll find them) so when you need to get somewhere, you just jump in the old escort and hammer at 80-140kmh down a one lane dirt/rock road, passing through others front yards about 10meters from their doorstep, perfecting your rally skills just to grab some bread and beer... if you'd like more info, or anything more specific, just ask. *7shades* the nutty thing is spot on... between june and august it's like one messy drunken day, partially interrupted by the sun going down, but it not getting any darker than late arvo. ***updated the first post with details of locations and stuff***

at this rate she'll be researching and listening to every product out there in just about every combination/mix of brands... let's hope she starts doing her listen tests soon, otherwise it'll be til after chrissy when she's ready to choose!! :sob:

without pics of the state of the car, i'd rough guess at $1000-$2500.

i've done the touristy thing many times, this will be my ~15th trip or so. was looking more for a catchup and chat...ideally someone to ferry me down to teddy's blue car and see it with my own eyes :sob:

well, my tailshaft is halfway to being usable. the old uni's are out and binned, just need to get the new ones greased and then fit it again. which won't be happening until the weekend after easter, as i'm heading up to QLD for 5ish days. i have a few things still needing to be put on the car/engine, but again, cos i'm so slack it probably won't be happening for another month or so, depending on how things pan out.

G'day my QLD brethren. just thought i'd let you know that i'm gonna be in the sunshine state for a whirlwind weekend. flying in on friday morning and leaving tuesday around noon. the purpose of the visit isn't to buy a new rolla unfortunately, (not that i could anyway as Jip seems to buy everything up here :no2: ) but to partake in the annual finnish easter games. 3 days of culture, sport and alcohol. if there's anyone that would like to come and say g'day, watch some amatuers play traditional finnish games and eat traditional food, as well as drink some alcoholic beverages, then come along. (i don't actually have an address of where we're playing yet, only that its in brisbane, possiblt east side, cos i lost the info sheet :sob: i should know tomorrow sometime) i'd love to catch up with a few of you and talk smack as i don't have plans on the monday, except for catching a bit of sleep early morning after the traditional sunday nite drink-a-thon/pub/club crawl. so if you're equally not busy on the monday speak up and well get something half-organised. cheers dF *** Location Details *** the easter festival will be held at the Anglican Church Grammar School in East Brisbane from Friday until Sunday. Baseball starts at 8am both saturday and sunday, with mens games running until 5pm saturday and 6pm sunday, and womens games running until ~7pm both days friday i think drinking starts at 11am, possibly 12.
