    davros, i know in vic you can go the same about increasing rolling diameter, but that only applies to stuff that doesn't need to be cleared by an engineers cert. since this is getting one, you can increase your rolling diameter by as much as you want, the world is your wheel |blink| so long as they fit underneath and claer the brakes anyway dF

    yeah, 20 was a bit too high, was pinging like crazy, but still not as bad as the 35 i was driving it around on before that |blink|. but all is good, sitting at 7 or 8 now.

    do you have a manual choke?? try using it to start when the dizzy is advanced. when i was playing with the dizzy and timing last month on my 5k, i set the dizzy a tooth out, had timing between 20 and 40btdc. it would run, but be hard to start even with the choke...

    where the clutch cable goes thru the firewall, there's a metal section about 2cms long with grooves in it. a c-clip should go onto that, effectively adjusting the tension the clutch cable is under. This pic show's the c-clip and metal piece

    in vic, if you remove the rear seats, you need to get it registered as a two seater. i'm sure you could just pull them out and say you use the car for haulage often, and removal was a better option. that might at least get you thru the first encounter with the police.

    it's all down to interpretation of the engineer...i've had 2 tell me i can swap a 3k for a 5k without an engineers cert (blue plate), while another one has told me i need to get one.

    i'm fairly certain i spotted the "VIXEN" heading towards the hills along Portrush Rd on saturday, sometime just before 1pm. was checking stuff in my bag and saw a gold streak, looked closely and saw the custom plates on it and the larger than average spoiler...

    2nd hand SC and IC come by every few months, same with efi gear. silicone hose joins are fair cheap too. there's injectors for sale regularly around the traps too.
