the rear parcel shelf you can do yourself. i did my own one piece out of some masonite i had in the garage. you can also do it in two pieces with MDF or something thicker and cover it with a rug or carpet after installation. your dash pad could either be repaired/recovered to look like new for $300 or so. the one in my 20 has just been carpeted over hiding the cracks below

well, you missed me being late, alot of cleaning and painting, swapping stuff between engines, pizza, drinks, and getting to hear a kangaroosa's 4k with big cam idling with twin 40 dellortos (for about 10 seconds)

since you got the te27 over there, that would be your first choice, since the XE2X had the same front ends. if you can't get hold of one, you could just cut the mounts off the te72 cross member you have and put them onto the ke20 one you have.

once summer hits, you'll be taking the current yellow one out with no panels or windows so you don't need A/C :lolcry:

the difference would be the early and the late blocks, your's being an early one...i have no idea if there are any actual differences.

yes, a 7k manifold will bolt on a 4k head. the 7k comes from a Townace. KR42.

i'll try and be as helpful as possible. know that i know what the intended purpose is, which should've been the first thing you said, you can either spend +$1000 on an aftermarket kit from the states or a locally put together one that will "bolt up".... or you can custom make brackets and other bits to put commodore discs, hubs, calipers onto the existing struts. regardless of which v6 you're throwing in, steering should still be plenty manageable with the standard setup.

nothing says subtle like a monster tacho!

the tacho dash needs to be paired up with the 3 gauge heater control panel, which has oil temp, water temp and something else i can't remember :P (most likely fuel gauge)

grub screw on the choke lever/knob, remove the black plastic knob, unscrew the nut from the dash, pull choke thru into the car (once you've disconnected it from the carby) install new one in reverse
