  1. and the new filter takes another scalp! tools are all that's needed for the swap.
  2. here's some i took the other morning excuse the blur and the non-rotated ones :bash: i'll grab some of the wiper motor tonite
  3. both ends are just for mounting the wire...both do the same job. only a cosmetic difference.
  4. yes, you will need to change the gaerbox yolk.
  5. if your cluster is one with the removable clock, then it's just a matter of getting a 2" tacho (i think) and swapping them. run the wires for the tacho and you're set. i am about to install one for my partner. i have the cluster with the tacho ready, just need time to do the swap.
  6. i have similar problem, and i know it's my front uni joint. i can feel the vibrations it has thru the whole car.
  7. inside the cabin? the firewall (for wiper motor mounting)?
  8. no chokes FTW! the last 2 engines i've had and the current one either didn't have a choke, or i just never used it.
  9. spot on there 7shades.... just like RADelaide!
  10. another year older, and still i manage to be a complete twat! did some noise testing courtesy of a sound meter. my mates na jza80 is about 96dB at 4000rpm idle, an ae82 twincam + cannon is 94dB, and the ke20 is also 96dB with muffler, +100dB with sidepipe tho  so, for now, the sidepipe is only being used for off street activities... on other fronts, the post office is being good to me. dash trims, a 2nd te27 dash cluster (this one NOT molestered!) and a ke30 brake master overhaul kit. so in about 3 weeks i'll be pulling it off the road again for a short while to install a 'new' ke70 5spd, heavy duty clutch, one of my clusters, the dash trims, a head unit and some speakers. i figured now i have a 'quiet' exhaust, i might as well get some tunes happening for a bit. i might even 'borrow' a mates 12" sub and amp package for a bit to see how it sounds. dF
  11. if you can't find one locally for the same price, one that you can check out before buying...then maybe you'd buy one of these. i can't see these lasting for a long time on a track car, but then i really don't know how strong it is. i'd suggest getting the bar shortened by 10mm at each end if you wanted to get one from T3.
  12. i really shoulda put the address in earlier......but anyway. *edited* if needed
  13. In Melb, all the roads with tolls have blue signs with yellow writing. most will cost about $1.50 to $3.00 per 'toll gate' you drive thru. they're usually situated between major intersecting roads.
  14. i guess i was being too subtle with my reply.... i'll edit it later
  15. i'd say the same for a fair chuck of P Platers.....can we have their licences revoked too???!
  16. yeah, i'd have to agree about the fact they come straight out, and don't have any height relief. i wasn't able to fit it with the stock airbox/filter...but i did manageto get mine to fit, just took a bit of time. take the adjusting nuts from both rose joints, and then wind the bar onto both of them. fit the rose joints to strut plates. remove the nuts and washers from one strut. put the strut plate onto the strut tower, push it outwards as much as possible and do up with/without the washers (i went without) then fit the otherside as you did the first side. pics are available of it installed in my ride thread (able to reach it via my sig)
  17. just cos i found out yesterday KE20 with 30L of fuel = 820kgs (at a public weighbridge) 700kgs on the rego sticker = fail
  18. what a bloody rude RL....first i get kicked outta his work, then he totally ignores the forums! i guess i'll have to put the sidepipe on for some midnight shenanigans!!! HAHAHA
  19. well, the weekend is stilll going ahead...i have nfi on numbers, beer and soft drinks will be provided, as well as Katie cooking up some lasagne for the satday nite feed. people are more than welcome to stay satday nite if needed, there's plenty of floor space, you'll just need a sleeping bag. again, anytime either day after 12pm is good for arrival. sleepies time for me dF
  20. have received confirmation that my cluster is on its way from japan. looking to be arriving before the end of the month. the 4k has been officially swapped, did the change at vicroads this morning. a new exhaust has also been put on today, got rid of one leak (which was the previous guys welding "skills") but the leak at the head still remains. the sidepipe is gone from daily duties......but will return one day  cbf typing....
  21. Workplace Ombudsmen = Hell smegging Yes the sooner, more frequent and noisy you are the better.
  22. i managed to get my old ke70 with k40 above 160km/h (on a private road)
  23. yahoo.jp also does this, it extends it by 5 mins whenever there's a bid inside the last few minutes.
  24. i've done that before, asking the person on the other end where'd i put my phone. took me about a minute to realise i was talking on it :(
  25. i also have a set of these on my shelf for my 4K
