  1. yeah, it's a JAR radiator. it'll be going in when it comes off the road for it's gear upgrade...when that will be i'm not sure, as i'm just waiting for some more stuff to come in before i have it all shipped. widthwise is all good, just the dust covers for the reclining mechanism needs to be modified a bit to not interfere with the ke20 rails sliding lever. i'll chop the passenger one first and put it on over the weekend while i'm playing around with shitaxe and the partners xx coupe. i think it's time to do the dash swap i promised 10 months ago HAHA dF
  2. if possible, borrow a set in any thickness, and try them on the front and rear. that way you can see what it will look like. if you don't like where the fronts sit, then just buy 2 for the rear.
  3. man, sooooo much has happened to this since the last post -pause- NOT! here's some ke70 seats i picked up from Dave (TE278U) originally for shitaxe (the car in the background) but they don't bolt up to ke30-55 sedan rails. so i checked them out on my spare ke20 rails, and they're a perfect match, so i left the rails on and bolted them into the 20  they don't suit the car or match anything, but they are DAMN comfy! shocks are being shipped shortly, i've got a heater panel to pick up from the post office (thanks ke20rolla) and possibly will be bolted in with a brake upgrade before christmas (if i can get shitaxe outta the carport before then) dF
  4. dave, if you catch train to flinders st, get on #1 tram on swanston st that goes towards the arts centre, the #1 goes up park st, which is 2-3 blocks from the hotel (i'll post up a map later if you want) or #112 from collins st going towards spencer st. it goes along a major rd (which i have NFI what it's called) from which the pub is 1 block off the main road. and now i see that info is redundant...but i'll leave it there anyway! dF
  5. i tried to get a shipping quote from him for a leather gearboot and handbrake cover, after 5 days worth of msgs he still wouldn't give me a quote. kinda thankful i didn't end up bidding on them! good info Parrot! dF
  6. Hopefully This Works use import monster to browse yahoo.jp at least you get an idea of what they're saying. *EDIT* it appears you need to be a member to view it :hmm: but it's free, and i'm guessing you'll be using it alot....
  7. yesterday was a smorgasboard of ke2x's....unfortunately, not for me, but a mate. first he parks 2 cars away from a late willow green ke20. then he walks past my car which is about 10 spots away. spots a late white ke20 in the city up the top end of lonsdale st. drives past a white ke25 on a main road in bacchus after work. the willow green one and the white one i have never seen in my town. i've never seen any other ke2x's in my town. there's 2 (i believe) in melton, but none out here. hopefully i can catch up with the owners "one day"
  8. i'm giving it two seasons, if it's not canned by then AND the presenters still haven't found their groove, i'm giving it the flick permanently (until they change presenters) maybe that's what it needs, drop one of the presenters just like TGUK...
  9. there's really no way you can get the details wrong. it's the australia day long weekend! I don't think we've had a dedicated lady driver as yet, but there are a few that make the trip.
  10. yeah, i tried to word that right...but i guess no matter how safe you try and make it sound, you can't deny a spit roast joke.
  11. how big were the heels? i hope you started off with something small, maybe 1" or 2". don't feel too down about it, you don't need heels to be sexy or professional. there's a few ladies in my office that are 30+ that still can't walk properly in heels....my team at work love looking out over the street and watching ladies wobble as they walk in 4" heels.
  12. straight answer = no Click Me and Love Me cos i know lots more questions are bound to follow, that link is your new friend.
  13. man, what the hell you doing all the way out there??! you didn't go to see the giant koala by any chance. that thing always makes me laugh.
  14. YOU WON'T COP FLACK FOR SUGGESTING people NEED TO HAVE A SKILLS CHECK...ESPECIALLY BECAUSE YOU'RE SAYING EVERYONE ACROSS THE BOARD NEEDS ONE, NOT JUST YOUNG KIDS OR THE ELDERLY! i think every time yuo renew your license you should go for a driving test. not that it will weed out many idiot drivers, but hopefully to give them an idea of what safe and courteous driving is. *bloody caps lock, didn't mean to shout*
  15. they're rare enough to see one for sale every 6 months or so. i know of around 8 along the east coast. price-wise, maybe $5k-$6k for a non-restored, rust free one. where's gav when you need him?!
  16. haha, you need a turbo K to do that  as taz said, motor shuold come first, unless you want to enter autosalon. get the car driving like you want it to, engine, suspension, brakes...then go and blow $$ on making it look good.
  17. as it happens, benzo is all booked out for the remainder of his visit. so, if you all stilll want to have a dinner catchup, we can arrange it for any night. i'm out from going tonite, as on late notice the partner informed me that we're going to a friends for a spit roast tonite.
  18. fukcing scrap that....details coming soon!
  19. during a chat with thenobbler last week, he suggested TOTO's on lygon st. still thinking of making it thursday night, i'll chat with benzo either later today or on monday and find out when he's going back to SA. it might be moved to saturday night. cheers dF
  20. because it's a 'mixed-up' plate, they're relatively new, so it's not surprising it was still available. altho, i reckon it would've been better in the gold/black 2 letter-2 number ltd edition plates :y:
  21. benzo, have you got anything planned for the thursday (25th) night??? thinking that might be a good night for dinner somewhere. i can organise the place so long as i get some rough numbers
  22. here's the pic. my mate was driving from st albans into the city for the A-League match, so i guess it was seen on the way in there on friday.
  23. bernie, you weren't out driving the 26 on friday night?? i think a mate spotted you, he took a pic of a white 26 4dr with original plates.
  24. don't stress bowler, if she's an '86 model, she's in her early 20's already....so all legal :y: haha and johno, that price sounds very good indeed. nice score.
  25. FWIW, the tacho cluster from a te27 has BRAKE on the handbrake lense, i'm not sure if this was the case for the ke1x tacho cluster.
