  1. not the thing you want to see residing in your engine bay. this was just to see if i could do it on a whim (upside down quad whopper w/ cheese)
  2. Click Here spotted a ke26 at the local station for the last week....wasn't there yesterday tho.
  3. that'd add a bit of time to the trip... what condition is the road from 'rat to geelong like?? is it bad enough to warrant going via the marsh (an extra 30kms)?
  4. In some places it's needed, other's it's not. Near the equator and the poles it's not necessary, but in the middle band it's very useful.
  5. BKS, as we are spread out like fireworks, there's no real convoy to get to Waurn Ponds for those coming from the east/north/south areas. if you're looking for someone else to drive with to Waurn Ponds, i'd suggest to PM them directly. i would say i'll be convoying with nobbler to the first meet point, but his recent track record isn't too flash, so i'll probably be going stag down the back roads...
  6. buy and install an uncracked one.
  7. no need to apologise.... hopefully we can put johnos and webers secas sides-by-sides whens theys dones.
  8. i guess you haven't paid much attn to the RC calendar then....
  9. been and gone already. and the tattoo is from Dark Angel w/ Jessica Alba
  10. i didn't know you could cut a sedan to make a ute??! dF
  11. i'm going to assume it's a side-draught... you can get single side-draught manifolds, Click Here for Ebay Link either new like in the link, or second hand ones come up every 6 months or so :| the jets will be WAY too large, and most people will suggest not even running a 40mm weber/dellorto as they're a bit big, but it can be made to work.
  12. If you removed the capitalised 'd' your point would carry more weight.

  19. Clown, msg Butty, he'll be coming from 'rat for the cruise. otherwise myself and nobbler will be leaving from Bacchus. first meet point will be Waurn Ponds (99% sure anyway) on the far side of Geeeeelong. as for days off, you'll need the 3 day weekend (Sat Sun Mon). drive to Port Fairy saturday, cruising most of sunday, drive home monday. if you do need to head back saturday, you should be alright to hang around and meet the SA people that make the trip, then leave around 3-4pm to go home via GOR.
  20. http://www.pedders.com.au/storeFinder/1 take your pick dF
  21. when i went to SA for a long weekend, i adjusted my driving to match theirs. things seem to be optional when driving in SA. these are the optional rules i found when driving in SA: indicators to turn down a street or change lanes. amber lights are "stop if you want to" not "stop if you can". overtaking on the left on highways, and over double lines. just meant i had to pay attn to what others 'might' or 'might not' do when driving.
  22. ii know that all too well. block across the road was subdivided, they threw a bungalo down the back like any self respecting bogan would...since then both the front and back "house" have only ever had bogans in them. every 6 months the current ones move out and the new ones move in. enough back story. the current front tennants have a big diesel patrol, which likes leaving at 5am and returning at 11pm just about everyday. they also bought one of their kids a quad bike for christmas, saturday mornings at 8am he starts it up without fail and drives up and down the long driveway for an hour or so. the back tennents have been there for a month, and everynight regardless of weekday or weekend, they crank their stereo. we can't hear what they have going, all we know is that it's bassy, very bassy. it's great when trying to sleep, you can feel your body vibrating to the bass. came home late on wednesday night with nobbler and the valiant. jumped out and chatted for a minute or so. he idles the car down the road until he's just past my house and then takes off with some gusto. i walk down the drive to put the bins out for the next morning before he takes off.as i return to the street with bins in tow, i see the idiots from the back house running down the drive towards nobbler shouting at him. the lovely rumble his valiant made since dropping me off must have piqued their curiosity, or the aggro cells in their brains... i don't think they appreciated the sweet pipe music when he took off, poor souls. when they realise that i'm still in the driveway, they quickly shut up and sauntered off back to their derelict hut. makes me think i should throw the sidepipe back on the ke20 and warm it up before going for my drive tomorrow morning, at 6am :P dF

as wierd as it is for a vic member to spot sa cars, i also caught up with the restored orange ke20. saw him in the carpark infront of the foodland on glen osmond road, across from the akraba shopping centre. it was still running the 3k, but he wanted a 4a in there.
  24. sounds like your trip was like mine, quick :P and yes, not only do we have excessive amounts of speed cameras, none of them are signed, can be f$cking anywhere and in any car (privatised mobile units) and the money from the fines don't go back into improving our roads or making them any safer! has me thinking of a move to adelaide.............it's a scary thought, but it just might be necessary. dF
