did you try old faithful http://www.whitewalltyres.com.au/ http://www.antiquetyres.com.au/ also, each state (i believe) has a mobile white wall guy that will come out and put white walls on the current tyres you have. you can also buy porta-walls, or flappers, for the big pre-60's whitewall look

i can't remember whether it was pedders or monroe, but on one of their websites you can download a PDF that has all the measurements of every shock they sell.....it's a couple of MB, but worth it. i have a printed copy in my file at work.

try searching the members rides threads for anyone with a v8 in their cars. rough costs. ke30 shell: $50 angle grinder: $100 cutting discs: $20 sheet metal to make new firewall and trans tunnel: $50 hiring welder and someone skillful to make new firewall and trans tunnel: ~$300 everything else that needs to be modified/upgraded to help control the anchor that now resides in the engine bay: PRICELESS!! (honestly, around $2000 for brake upgrades and stronger diff......and another +$1000 for engineering if going that route)

saw it last night at the Street Machine organised drive-in night at coburg. coincidently, i also happened to get free tickets (well nobbler did, but we went in the ke20 as his wagon is engineless atm) was a really good movie/doco. talking about cars, what they mean to each individual and collectively, some great footage of targa tassie (in the XB) and of him driving a porsche around phillip island at the beginning (i believe). i kept getting distracted by the guy behind us in his chev convertable flashing his lights whenever something caught his fancy......during the film.

Crazy Jap or Silly Aussie or, you can actually buy a guard rolling tool that will do it much more neatly and evenly (ie, not bashing it with a hammer)

great way to start off :D anyway, thenobbler has managed to get free tickets to the drive-in tonite, which normally would mean squat.... except that "love my beast" will be playing!!! bring on Uncle Chop-Chop!!! -

you will need...... to read and check out HERE as well as a turbo (or supercharger), a flux capacitor, a few litres of nawzz, lotsa cable ties and someone to hang out the passenger window screaming obscenities at everyone you pass. seriously, type 4AGE turbo into google and spend a few days reading and checking out whatever you come across. dF

how many kg's of meat is your high horse??? my partners ke55 has a few quirks to it. the common 'sympathetic needles' on the fuel and water temp. one will rise to match the other every now and then, not always the same one either. the other is her oil light. it is fine from starting the car cold and driving around, but after it's fully warm and you ease the revs back (like having to stop coming off the freeway) it'll come on and stay on. if you turn the car off and then on again before it's cooled down, the oil light will just stay on. we've managed to clock up about 15thousand kms in it so far. it's had one service at home and 2 others externally (at 2 different places). it's had 2, maybe 3, different oils put in (all after a proper drain and flush) and no-one can work out why it's coming on. there are no other symptoms, the engine hasn't developed any problems... so, how do you like you high horse, medium-rare with a mushroom sauce??! dF

$100 + it came with a free car (with BHG)

i wonder how many laps he must've done of that circuit??? thanks redwarf  and as johno said above, i think by the time he did that he would've had at least 30-40 laps under his belt, and was just seeing how early he could put it in (and how sideways) and still get out straight...

there's 3 ways to get a CA18 into an AE82. 1. just put the engine and box in and make custom everything to make it fit in the rolla and bolt up to everything. 2. take a front cut from a pulsar running a CA18 and weld it to a rolla backend. 3. put the CA18 in the hatch area and dump it at the local tip or wreckers!

i have very basic 8mm holes in each ear. looking at getting a back peice (most likely just ribcage sized) when i get the design down just how i want it. -
i have very basic 8mm holes in each ear. got my current office job with them. i just put some metal plugs that you couldn't see thru in for the interviews. fortunately, my boss (who did the interviews) was on my side when the higher ups questioned him hiring a guy with large-ish holes, long hair and a goatee, who had/has no experience, for an office position.

Lesley, i hope you'll be driving vixen across  -
the tacho sounds like my aftermarket one. i had it wired in for 6months, then installed a te27 cluster. aftermarket wired up separately from the loom, te27 cluster driven by the stock loom. the aftermarket one was showing more revs than the te27 cluster. about 700 more rpm at 7000 (te27 cluster showing ~6300) aftermarket is possibly more accurate than 35yo stock wiring, but really have no way of checking accuracy of either. i just pulled the aftermarket one out and haven't looked back since  doesn't help much, just some info... dF
