a work colleague of my missus got a fine for driving with the fog lights on. she was in her brothers car for the first time, and didn't have much idea on the light switches. she had her parkers on and the fog lights. on a related note, i will flash anyone driving with their fog lights that i reckon are too bright. they're almost as annoying as driving past a 4x4 cos of how low i am :P
-
yeah, that's what i was thinking :P just like me and the missus ALWAYS stop at the BP in deer park coming home from the city. poz/webers - could you organise some sort of pick up plan for others as you come thru from franga? i dunno if this would work or not as i really don't know where others are from :P
-
alright, send me ur mobile number via PM and i'll give you a call when we leave from bacchus. we'll should be at the turn-off by around 1:10~1:15 if we leave at 1. i'd reckon just aim to arrive at the servo/kfc on the freeway at around 1 and it should all be good :P (assuming that you know those servo's intimately lol)

speaking of cruises, are you coming to the one on the 9th?? Linky-Linky i have a few small stickers, i possibly have a spare big sticker, will check later

just knocked up a quickie map thing, big red circle is meet point, there's a multi-deck carpark at the shops, figured up top would be easy to find and get us all together. can take the first or second exit to bacchus. first one goes straight onto main st, the second one you'll need to go left at the lights and left again at the first roundabout. little red ones are food, there's also a few servos close by and a coles at the carpark for last minute things. Butty: we can meet you at the pykes creek turnoff to save you the extra drive if you'd like, + it would be a good spot to stop and get the ranks back together after the freeway section. let me know how you'd like to do it :P i'll try and get the map of the run during the week for you all. cheers df

alright, my guess at 250kms was a bit off...at most, it's 150km from bacchus - mt macedon - bacchus. without stops its close to 1 hour and 40 mins. Here's the run layout, time's not concrete atm. (i'll organise a map to be put up in a few days, a bit of scanning and coloring needs to be done first) ~1:00 - leaving bacchus main st heading out towards ballarat. take the pykes creek/blackwood/trentham exit, turn right. right at the roundabout in greendale (22kms from start). hillclimb and then windy roads for 10kms to blackwood. turn left toward trentham, again hills and windy for another 15kms until trentham. ~1:40 arrive in trentham, rest area, toilets, milkbar. ~2:00 - leave (if take break) and head out of trentham, turn right toward east trentham (pearsons rd/pig and whistle sign) just out of trentham. follow until turn right at ashbourne rd (bus shelter on left, 10 kms from trentham), bit windy near woodend. come to woodend, turn left and then right toward mt macedon (mt macedon rd). very hilly and windy road all the way until the memorial cross (turn right toward the cross, BIG SIGN) arrive at cross ~2:45. ~leave whenever, head back out and down mt macedon, turn off towards melbourne at calder freeway. hammer down that on towards deer park, food, catch-up at nobblers.

i have numerous photo's of illegally parked cars from my job. most are just people parking on the end of the aisle or on the outside of a bend, a few have trolleys against their doors. the best ones are those with parking fines on their windshield tho :P there's a great one when going from the center of town onto the highway leading to the city, its just a one way road for about 500m then it merges onto the highway. its a 90km/h zone, and most of the people slow down to 20 or 30 and look while driving in the emergency stopping lane with their indicator on, even when there's no traffic coming down the highway! man they all frigging suck!

people who can't park to save their life, park in a non-designated car park, or do it intentionally so that no-one will park next to them to prevent damage to their cars. i try my best to park next to those that miss parking inside the lines. i try to get within an inch of their drivers door if at all possible. as for those that do it deliberately, a shopping trolley or three resting against their cars is a great way to show that their parking sucks. as for those that park in a non-car park, a simple letter saying "THIS AIN'T A PARK f@$kHEAD" is effective. or just drawing on their windscreen with lipstick :) can you tell i work at a major shopping center, out in the gardens and car parks??!

here's the only pic i could find of a rectangular emblem, i know its tiny, but yeah, hope it helps you out  msg some owners of ke10's and see if they can take a better pic of the emblem for you. ROL-110 has what you're after i believe after checking out his rides thread of his new project HERE df -
i don't know how far away you all want it so i'll give you 2 weekends. the 8th or 9th Sept or the 16th Sept. what would you all prefer? ** EDIT ** since there's been no replies, i'll make the executive decision and make it Sunday the 9th of September. if lots of people can't do this date, it can be moved to the following sunday...so tell me  will be doing another test run this w/e hopefully, try and work out times and stops. cheers, DF

big thanks for getting rollaclub back up, hope everything works out ok.

i'll make this quick, the run i scouted goes from bacchus marsh to blackwood, thru trentham, up to the Ash Wednesday memorial on top of Mt Macedon, then via gisbourne back to bacchus. from my place, around, and back again was around 250kms i think. will have to scout it again for possible stops, as i didn't pay too much attn to that first time round. would need to be half decent weather, as the scouting trip was in 12 degree weather, driving thru clouds across macedon wasn't fun, visibility of around 30m and twistys aren't good. but yeah as nobble said, all interest and thoughts would be good. cheers, df
-
nobbler, what you talking about "not in a rolla"??! i've always got a spare one lying around, and it might grow to 3 if things turn out right! the chev would be good, aside from sticking out like an apartment block and chewing thru several barrels of crude oil :o count both katie and me as in for this too.
-
it's great to see the aussie plates on the rear and on the dash pad :o that looks like one well kept ke10, best of luck with the resto

libraries nowadays are alot more miss than hit. manuals are one of the first things to disappear off the shelves permanently.
