gee, haven't i been a big slacker....7 months between drinks isn't too bad i spose :? anyway, the heater core shat itself a few months back, and i injured myself not long after, so old whaley hasn't seen too much road time recently. she did get out to the arthur's seat/sorrento RC cruise the other week, which was her first proper drive in about 3 months :( and back to the heater core, dropped it off on thursday morning to get the radiator place to remove the old one, make a new one and then put it all back together again.....b/c of my injury i can't use my right hand atm :D got a call this morning to say they're having troubles putting it back and getting it working. turns out the heater tap is stuck closed, and one of the cables has unrouted itself and isn't working. so they're having a go at fixing it all and getting it back together on monday. hopefully the heater tap unsticks itself over the weekend while soaking in deisel. else i'll be off to find a replacement. Parrot, or anyone else who goes wrecker hunting this weekend, if you find any crowns from MS5X thru to (and including) the MS11X series, can you grab the heater tap just incase i need one?? thanks! dF out.

f@$k sunshine, it's the weekend.....some people on here do things on the weekend aside from lurking here. you're lucky i've got a busted thumb and can't drive anywhere/do anything! i'll keep this short and sharp. if yuo hva ethe finances, you'll (most likely) be better off going a 4AGE. EFI, much more aftermarket goodies, and "easier" to get parts for. how much work does the body need? if it's got rust anywhere other than the bonnet and front guards, just pull it from the road and do a complete overhaul. else, grab a 5 spd and put in a 4k (and a mild cam) which will give it enough poke to be a happy lil weekender.

also came stock on the KE55 XX (in 13") can't remember the corona model, but the same design and PCD was available in 14"

the only thing necessary to make the weekend is yourself and (a very small amount of) $$$. just ask the Canadians from up north who fly down and ride shotgun in everyone elses' cars the whole weekend. i'm tempted to not take a car, but feel if i leave the whale at home alone, it'll get sniffed out by the Japanese and taken back to the motherland for 'research'!! (that and nobby will need somewhere to pack all his gear if he takes the KE10 like he should)

i've been eyeing off a bB from Japan for some time now, and now i've heard they're releasing the 'RuKuS' here. +$25k for a new one with nothing. $15-$20k for a JDM one 50,000-80,000kms with some fruit (coilovers, wheels and a kit) landed and complied. while it might be second hand, i'm still in favour of importing a bB.
