  1. yet you're going with a pushrod for your commo????
  2. while the canadian's are the cause of the wait.....how long that wait'll be will be decided by how fast (slow) the Kujira is across the "smoothness" that is victorian country roads. Jap cruisers weren't built for Aussie highways ;)
  3. awesome Felix....just AWESOME!! like 7shades' rule, i have a similar rule i follow, specific to not keeping left....called the 5 second rule. if a car is in the far right hand lane when there is ample room around it that it could safely move into the left lane immediately next to it, and i happen to be in the right lane immediately behind it, i start counting to 5. i do it slowly, so it would take between 8-15 seconds to get to 5. once 5 is reached, i undertake them (which is illegal AFAIK in VIC if the road has a limit of 80km/h or above, but haven't been able to find the secion in the Vic Road Rules Law) while abusing them and honking. what happens from there is always a mystery. it's worked well for me, so far anyway. will be getting some hand held signs so my co-driver can hold them up for the offending driver to read if we're stuck behind them in the right lane, and for when we're passing them on the left. just so they know that they're doing the wrong thing and that they should perhaps re-read the road rules before they next go on a drive.
  4. condensed version in VIC:
  5. Oi! where's the hanging out the window pics???! and be prepared from some interesting pics of this on friday. :D

  7. i've got a bunch of ke30 grills lying around in my shed....i'll go round to nobby's on friday and fit one to his 11. :D pics will be up friday night!!! u iz jst alll haterz
  8. roosa, so long as all your gear doesn't explode out your side windows on the way to the meet point in geelong, you're welcome to pile it into "Grandpa Frannie " i dare say we'll have enough room for the rotorolla in the boot too if fuel becomes an issue
  9. oh, and we really should be leaving around 7:15.....the crown doesn't like to accelerate, nor travel above 100 :P
  10. how thoughtful that you bought me one :P saves me getting a pair of them this year.
  11. it's either a blue or green background with the C and 3 stars above it. i can't remember which of the grills got the green and which other one got the blue.
  12. sure, if you're got a complete bolt in 7K and W58 box, r31 pintara struts and cut-down diff........and some interior might be nice too :y: haha i'll be dragging the baleen whale out for this, unfortunately :P
  13. ahhh, the st kilda festival...... 1. GTFO! (and stay the hell away) or 2. dress up in (very) tight clothes of the opposite sex and pose every 15 steps, or on every corner, whichever comes first.
  14. if i had room for 2000+ pics i would :y: last year i didn't even get around everything in 4hours :jamie: i'll try and remember to take full car pics, as opposed to just arty/engine pics like last yr.....
  15. long time, no post. not much has happened with the crown. drove it to Hay for chrissy, was a bit bumpy between deni and hay :jamie: possible speed related.... there's a local show the first week in feb, so will give it a buff on the satday and then try and keep it spotless for picnic at hanging rock the following week. hope to see others get their classics out for the picnic! dF
  16. 99% sure that sunday we'll be heading from warnambool to apollo bay for lunch at a pub. then possible beach, else cruising some inland roads and heading back to warnambool in the late arvo/evening. monday is the 'big breakfast' then we're heading to portland (20mins from warnambool toward SA) to visit the historic motor museum around noon-2pm. (i think they're putting on a lunch for us, won't know until nobby calls them up again to confirm everything). would be perfect for you, meet us in apollo bay for sunday lunch. spend the night at warnambool. breakfast and museum on monday, then enough time to drive home afterwards with plenty of sleeping time before tuesday. dF
  17. just some easy questions that you can (hopefully) answer nobby...... where are we meeting on satday morning?? what time are we meeting satday morning?? and what time are we leaving from the first meet point on satday morning?? dF (asked by Katie about 10 mins ago)
  18. i have a fork with the centre 2 tines removed. it removes window winder 'jesus' clip and the dash switches on my ke20 and ms65. sure i could just get some circlip pliers......
  19. heck yes, except i seem to get blokes in their 50's telling me about their parents one that was bought new :) i need more +70's love :S folded how many times to fit your parcel shelf? mine's perfectly sized to the rear seat in the ms65. about 2" extra from door to door, and covers the rear seat completely from headrest to front edge of the base. not bad for something my mum knitted in the mid-late 70's :(
  20. i see your rug, and raise you... :S
  21. The K-W bell in the KR42R is for the alloy-case W box, W55/56/57/58. The K-W bell from the KM20/30 is for the early steel-case W box, W40 and W50.
  22. pics would help identify.
  23. Sunday would be the best day by far, yep. Apollo bay for lunch, most likely a swim, possible activity on the way back to Warnambool. If you want to do the rest of the GOR (on the way back) you can either head home inland at Port Campbell, or the earlier turn off around the Otways. else dinner that night with us (NFI what it'll be at this stage)
  24. It ran at bathurst waayyyy back when it was first released, and won it's category too. Hendo, the ute wasn't on display....nor was it in the warehouse where my crown is waiting, but their f1 car was :locked:
  25. what's better than one tiara.......the fact they have 3! one orig unrestored, one that's had a full resto and one ute. and yes, i'm well chuffed about having Fran in the display. oh, and that RT40 is the first ever car to roll off the TMCAL production line, RT40-000001
