WGMG - my gearbox that instead of coming off, has decided to slide 4cm's off and then just stop! i just want to fix my welsh plugs, not throw you in the bin, but i just might if it doesn't come off soon!

that's about it :lolcry: (in my mind it works, following the plan set out below) finding a w56 will mean there's a 99% chance of it having a K-W bellhousing on it. once matt has this, he can get a gearbox crossmember fabricated as well as a tailshaft to suit both it and the nissan diff. while the fabrication is happening, he can keep looking for a 55/57/58 while his pennies are being saved. dF

well, alot has happened in 2 months, which i should write but wont. anyway, this little beasty will be heading up to the Northern Territory soon. open invite to the going away party for it this weekend. foor and drinks are provided, as long as you pitch in. PM me for details. dF

i picked up a 5ME dissy and ignitor, had to fix the negative wire from the ignitor to the plug, as it had been broken right near the plug. there wasn't much left sticking out of the plug to strip and get a proper join, so i ended up taking the pins outta the plug and joining the original wire half way along. as the bit that stops the dissy rotating on the 5ME one wouldn't line up properly (the slotted bit that the bolt goes thru to stop the dissy rotating) i had to run a thin bit of rubber between the original 4M dissy stay as it was a bit loose on the 5ME dissy. the 4M one has a slight step at the base of the dissy head, where the 5ME doesn't. no big problem, just a little messing around. it's now all in and working perfectly, timing set at 12 degrees. it's soo much nicer to hear it firing on all six cylinders. no more grumpy engine in the cold Bacchus mornings! :lolcry:

of course it matters if FF is covering it, i wanna see my inline 6 get some page space :)

I'll be there in the MS65 with Katie in the passenger seat. We'll be at the start and the first stop at the dam. Will be arriving with a mazda 929 (i think) from the Ballarat region, and possibly others. Bernie, you wanna join up with us as we cruise down Ballarat Rd to the RingRoad? Should be going through around 9:30-9:45.
