something that resembled a conversation i had last night with nobblet indicates that GAR won't be going ahead this June.....it will happen, we're just unsure of when it will actually be.
with the non-event for June, we thought of having another Arthurs Seat cruise instead of GAR. not that we've asked or talked to the Franga crew about organising the route or the afterparty. but then, what they don't know won't hurt them, until the next morning at least :bash:
i imagine a new thread will be started about this in the next week or so.....

sydney: people upgrade when something new comes in to "keep up with the jones'es" so the old one gets junked.
canberra: roundabouts and, well, roundabouts.
melb: with our weather it's a surprise anything has survived.
perth: ........it's perth, need i say more.
bris: anything less than a landcruiser or hilux will just be an ornament perched in a tree due to floods, a pile of rust or a paddock bomb after 5 yrs. (altho curly does his best to find the best)
just an idea, would there be any takers for breakfast before the cruise.
given there are bbq facilities at westerfolds, we could do sausage/bacon and egg rolls/sangas.
as i won't be doing the full cruise, i figured it might be a way to get a few more people to the meet point for a chat, as well as bring those with H plated cars out that weren't keen on driving to PI.
i'd be happy enough to get there for 8am to start preparing and cooking so that food's available from 8:30-9:30/10

don't drive above 100km/h ??
i know that there is a guide to remove the speed chime for the aw11 and z20, but i haven't seen one for the ae92 levin.
and where are you driving from if it'll take you 7hrs to get the 'rat??
when i went there to drop my crown off, their main office didn't have any cars in the foyer area. when i back a week later, my crown was in their storage warehouse, and the KE10 was out in the carpark (by carpark i mean staff lockup monitered 24/7, not out on the street).
one of their secondary offices happened to have a hybrid camry under covers, they had a few groups through to check it out prior to the official dinner where the classic AMI built cars were on display.
there's a few pics in the thread, cbf finding it now.
i had an exhuast leak for most of my ke20's life......not that you could really tell over the sound of the sidepipe :D
well done on actually addressing the problem.
just according to the Toyota Genuine Parts catalogue/elec part inventory......
i'm often harassing/inquiring about genuine parts at my local toyota dealer. you never know what parts are cheaper/similar price to aftermarket manufacturers unless you ask.
i'm sitting at about 50-50 for parts they have and those that are NLA.

there's a PT Cruiser that gets around my town with the steelies/whitewall look........
and for a shithouse car it looks much better with them than the regular fare they come with!
it looks similar to the cap that goes on top of the dissy internals.
doesn't get held down, just kinda sits on top. goes on before the rotor button.
size might be a bit off (37mm might be small for a k dissy)
i found a paltry 2 cent coin when i removed the front seats in my crown.
i doubt there's anything under the rear seat, it might've been used twice before i got it.
detail, HKLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLM,A!
Frannie will get driven out from the carport tonite. will spend tnhe night under the stars with no cover. in the mormimg ut;kk get packed with food and drinks then well be on ur way!
detailing not necessaryhy nwhen you're as classy as a crown :)
PS: the cat help me with this post lol
last year was pretty awesome, with everything from the holden, ford and toyotas...to minis, corvettes and some nissans. totally filled the parking spaces out the front :)
i'll make sure the camera is out early to get some pics there...
and yes, as much as you love the bottle, it's nice to give it some space once in a while. :)

$20 entry, anytime after 7:30am.
there's no fixed leave time, some leave early (11am) others hang til +2pm.
unlocked or locked, you can stay with it all day or just wander around and not see it again until you're ready to leave.
most of us will be there regardless of weather, one or two of the celica lads might bail at the sight of rain.
if you're keen to join us roosa, try and get to the BP (or just join us on the highway like nobby or near the gates like cam) so you'll be parked with the rest of us, lighten the stresses of leaving it alone to look at all the other gorgeous metal parked around.
