Hey guys, today the heat must of really affected my brain an got me thinking about aircon... Something not really common in older rollas now I came across an idea that people in the states etc have been doing being with an ice box (mini esky) where they cut out the lid and install computer fans into the lid and connect them to a ciggie lighter to run 12v dc fill the esky with ice a woolah instand air con so my real question is has anybody tried this method and does it actually work I like the idea of it as it's easily removed but does anybody see any problems I'm possibly overlooking ? Input greatly appreciated... Good or bad or has the heat in nsw at the moment sent me crazy?....

I would be keen but I'm nowhere near the shire maybe a half way meet as I'm out bear castle hill love to bring my ke11 out for an old school cruise

I was tempted to pull it back with a shoe lace but neither me or passenger were wearing shoes with laces... $2 later she's now fixed (pick n payless entry fee) and a $90 tow which surprisingly wasn't too bad for 1 in the morning...

Hey guys, just returned home in a tow truck tonight and thought what other mishaps have we all had that we can laugh about etc: my night started tonight with a nice drive round town in my ke11, night was going well then was time to return home stopped at a red light the spring on my carb snapped just as the light went green and started revving the guts out of the 3k powerhouse... Must admit was a decent 3k launch but something to laugh about now I guess... Any one got a carb spring for a 3k in NSW lol jokes

By all means my stock 3k ke11 ain't quick and wouldn't pull any impressive numbers by a long shot but I might cruise it down to check it out as a spectator if I can make time

Spotted the other week ke10 in kingspark area white with Venetian blind in the rear on l plates ( my cars twin ) and also today on James ruse drv light green ke10 with primer rear half and what looked to be an intercooler behind the grill ;) I was in my ke11 at the lights and think your passenger yell something out but didn't catch it... These guys members here?

Spotted just now white ke10/11 in kingspark nsw on L plates with white Venetian , looked identical to mine almost ... Anyone on here or anybody know the owner

I understand about getting steel wheels re drilled but is there any problems then with offset? Mainly just looking at what most people have used.. I may ditch the 15" idea and go with 14".. This is what most use for crown hub caps right?

Hey guys I'm looking to upgrade my ke10 to a disc front end but I been trying to source larger steel wheels In either 14" or 15" I'm wondering what most people have used.. Some body suggested 15" Saab rims but the stud pattern from memory is 4 x 108... Are there any problems with fitting these? Also where in Sydney nsw can I track something down from as I'm not having much luck with enquirees I have made

as for direct replacements there really arent any... late model Mazda Van rims fit 4x110 others that are close saab 4x108 (4 stud saabs obviously) Peugeot 207 307 4x108 Audi 80 4 x 108 there are a few more but these are the ones off the top of my head .. if you get a set of the 4x108 may be best to drill them out a bit and re-lipped for bolts.. they do fit on directly but some have experienced wheel studs bending...

wow majordad thats really neat.. I'm a young guy myself who appreciate the classic cars and definately look after all my cars like babys .. glad you found someone who will genuinly care for it and not cut it up and hack it up.. they really are great cars these ke1x corollas

wow thats a true shame, kinda sucks when you see one that someone has put alot of work into and it all go to waste.. yeah i loved that thing because it was different to the majority..

cross bred rolla's a while ago i toyed with the idea of putting an M42 into a Ke11 i had i reckon it would have hauled.. the 2t etc: conversions have been done in these hit the search button and you should come up with something .. the tranny on the m10.. do they still run a dog leg like the e30 series? cause i think there would be no issues getting the box in but would depend on how far forward or back the engine can be pushed.. and obviously custom dog leg set-up (would have to shorten it a bit).. i still have a bmw getrag somewhere lol now I'm getting ideas again.. i think it would be very interesting to say the least .. and fair bit of go too as as an e21 / e30 etc: would weight almost exactly double the weight of the ke1x
