I have to agree with everyone else and say it's just a Corolla from somewhere else in the world. It could have either a 5K or 3A-U, both of which are 1.5l Looking at the boot on the right hand side, those badges look very similar to the period [TOYOTA] badge. The rear lights, even with the angle on the side still have the E7 look to them, plus some countries did get the metal centre plate lights

The photo is aptly named, as it's hypocritical taking a photo (on a mobile I'm guessing) while driving of a cop on a mobile while driving. Cops are humans too. That means that there are bad ones and there are good ones. Example: Last Saturday night, I had just left a work friends birthday party and in a rare lapse of concentration I hadn't put my lights on, which I did after say 2 seconds. In that time a police car had just left the station, was heading towards me and put the discos on and turned around. I pulled over, got my licence out and and explained myself, polite, as always. They did an RBT and I was clean, (only having had one XXXX Gold with a nice huge BBQ) and they sent me on my merry way. Mind you, I had no rear bumper (as I'd taken it off to do some repairs) plus my new spoiler and large exhaust... None of which was even mentioned. Now, If I'd been a cock about it, then they could have easily thrown the book at me. *Shrug* Moral really is be nice to them, and 98% of the time that will be returned (aside from the one from Cleveland CIB (now transit cop) who was an arsehole weasely cockmuncher, but that's another story :D) Cheers, Matt :P

mmm, panelvan + 3SGE & 6spd :) Pity I don't have $5k

well, It mightn't have been OEM to the Cortina, but that's the car it was on when I got it from the wreckers, hence what it came off :)

Aww dang... Ah well, I need to replace all of mine anyway... Supercheap have the ones I need for $9.95 a pack which I suppose is ok... might call repco see if they do them separately. Cheers :)

Yeah, I know everyone won't like it... at first it it was just a "what if" but it was such a good price I thought, meh... f@$k it :o It came of a late 70's Cortina (the roundish ones just before the square mini-XD falcon ones) :) I'll be going to see Pedders @ Geebung soon to get the rear end sorted out, but first I'm getting the alignment/balance fixed up on Tuesday (I need a tie rod end & rack end replaced, RHS I think), as well as the brakes (probably standard for the moment) and then I think she'll be driving sweet. Mr Dwarf, I'll pm you to see if you're available on Saturday so I can come and rummage through your nut sack. Cheers, Matt :)

So, I've gone slightly nuts and done a fully sick mod :D The spoiler cost me a total of $70ish. $50 for it and $20ish for the Hammertone paint. It didn't come out too badly, I reckon. I'll take a closer up shot of the spoiler tomorrow and add it to the post. It's hollow fibreglass, so nice and light. I also took off my rear bumper and "massaged" the LHS bracket so the bonnet sits somewhat straight again, plus sanded back the rust spots and treated them with Killrust. I'm thinking that I *could* be able to straighten it out if I got one of those small portable oxy torch things so I can heat the bar up and "massage" it with my small metal mallet. I'm thinking the small amount of heat will be fine, as the steel is too strong otherwise... What do you reckon? I'm getting a dash fascia off Matt soon so I can put my tacho cluster in, pics of that when it's in  Anyhow, Here's Some Pictures I Prepared Yesterday. Enjoy. :D :y:

Which car, Bluey or Whitey? I was hoping to come and get it tomorrow but that doesn't seem possible now, unless it's at Bajic central :D Otherwise, when are you back from Melbore? You want anything for it? Cheers, Matt :y:

haha mad shit :D -
Yeah, go 2.5in. I've got a 2.25in on my stocko 4A-C panelvan and it has a nice note, not too loud and gives decent back pressure I think :jamie:

Hey buddy! It's doing good, have a look at the cruise pics from today and you can get an idea. I meant to take some other shots but didn't get around to it I haven't done much, just put my ROH holy mags on, but I have fixed a few mechanical issues as you would've read in the thread. Yeah, the tacho cluster i've got is the angled one, and Teddy might happen to have a spare on. As for wiring, a guy on Toymods has put a tacho cluster into his panelvan and he gave me the pinouts for the plugs, as they need swapping around. When I do that next weekend and it works, I'll be posting a PDF with the information on how to do it :jamie:. I've put the stereo in the standard hole and yes, it fits almost perfectly although the oem brackets don't line up to the holes on my JVC headunit unfortunately.. but it's a snug fit with the fascia so it's not going anywhere soon. I'm going to get one of those pieces of bendy metal with holes in it to just anchor it against the fan piping. Also the 6" speakers fit nicely enough in the pods and they make a nice sound which doesn't leak through the door much ;) Cheers, Matt :y:

So, when do you get your licence?

Was great fun guys, nice to go on a Rollacruise again, it's been a while for me :jamie: Cheers for the compliments, it's coming along OK... I'm just happy to finally have a nice, working van ;)

Yes, I know, hence I need the plastic surround from a *E7* that had a tacho dash in it, as it will be bolt-in, or very little modification :jamie:
-
Does anyone have, and is willing to part with, a ke70 tacho dash fascia (the black plastic piece that sits around the cluster etc) in good nick? I need one for my panelvan so I can put my tacho in :jamie:
