  8. so is that wtf this is all about? spam day?!
  9. i bought a '73 mazda RX3 wagon with the replacement engine in the rear. living in an apartment complex, i really didn't have much for tools, or a place to work on stuff. 3a.m. i wrapped a piece of rope around the awning cover for the parking spaces and lifted it into the car. i was 17 and didn't know much about cars or rotarys especially and didn't know that you could not get the torque converter into the pump while bolted onto the engine, so i never got it started. long story short.....10 a.m that same day i got an eviction notice........
  10. ummm.... te2x bodies are the same as ke bodies here.....and every kp61 starlet i've ever seen had a 4 link rear stock...
  11. 3KC's here were u.s. emissions....they had an a.s.s. valve and air injection consisting of an air pump going into a rail with a tube protruding into each exhaust port. they had slightly lower compression and a little more valve overlap to compensate for n.o.x. emissions. later 4KC's had no airpump, but had an e.g.r. valve and a charcoal canister along with a catylitic converter. i don't know how much of this compares with your stuff.....
  12. hey; show me the differences with the tailights......those look just like bubba's i will trade with one of you guys...also, i wouldn't mind going right hand drive :)
  13. the u.s. does have laws.....i tried to get "69 TOY" for daisy and they wouldn't let me have it......every state has its own laws
  14. my God, there are SO many te3x and te7x cars over here......(we never got a 5 series
  15. what about nissan buying back all the old Z cars?
  16. all of my K50's have lost all BUT 4th gear, but they were all 180,000 mi junkyard units...... are the k-t bell housings easy to come by, and will a t50 fit my tunnel?
  17. just little things......my 2 cents
  18. ok, boys....just bought a 1982 TE72 2 dr sedan 3TC, t50, factory air. it's been sitting 4 years; i put a battery in it, turned the key, and it fired right up. it runs on 3 cylinders, but the compression is good....160-170 on all cylinders. it smokes some until it warms up, the carpet is ruined from the clutch master cylinder leaking, the carb is plugged up. my plan is to lower it 2", do the exhaust (no muffler on it now) weber, extractor, fix the a/c. i LOVE the way david's car turned out....fook's too. the whit with a black hood looks awesome. pics when i get them $250usd. *edit* oh yeah....his name is "Bubba"
  19. i dunno what the specs are, but it's a '73 build 2tc, small oil pan, 110 h.p. it had only like 98,000 mi on it in a wagon in front of an auto. the auto went bad and they parked it. it had been parked for 17 years, i filled the carb up, bolted the starter back in and fired it right up....no knock, no smoke, ran good for about 30 seconds it also has the factory a/c compressor i just saved it 'cause i couldn't bear to throw it away i'd sell it for like $100usd then you got shipping....maybe 200-300aud?
  20. i will sign up on the 1200 forum i know those engines very well, i have an a-14 in my cricket but i'm looking for interchange info like "what head is the best for performand, what little part you can swap from what other car to gain h.p. i went all through it before i got daisy, i used to autocross her.....(i was good too) i've got a weber 32/36, big port head, 2" exhaust, elec. fan, elect fuel pump, hood scoop w/snorkel, a/c NOW PLEASE DON'T GET PISSED.... i feel these engines are superior to the toyota "k" engine. every datsun "a" series car i have ever seen at the wrekers has always had far over 200,000 mi on it and usually the engine still runs well. the common problems i have noted with the 3kc and some 4kc's is that they all seem to smoke, the timing chain rattles badly, and they burn valves like a bitch. i have also noticed a tendency for the blocks to crack between the rear two freeze plugs behind the starter. both makes share head gasket problems if overheated. you guys have different equipment, i.e. emissions, that kinda changes things...i ALMOST put an A15 in daisy. did datsun ever inject these engines? i love daisy, she is my daily driver and i wouldn't giver her up for the world. but i need to get to work on cricket
  21. wait a minit......michael jackson is not brown!!!!!!.......he's white!!!!!!! :P :)
  22. the wayne's world one was a pacer....fishbowl on wheels  these came with either a 3.8 or a 4.2....mine has the 4.2-6 they had the 304 V-8 option, but those are rare....this car is about the size of a mid '80's mustang
  23. ke30; those are awesome!!! but then; you guys have different tastes in wheels. i agree that 3 spokes look like shit...i think the wheels that were on rollie when it rolled were perfect. i have a set of 4 spokes that kinda look like a flower.....have no idea what they're called. i have "jellybeans" we call 'em slotted mags- on the cricket
  24. looking for info on datsun "a" engines a14, a15, etc..... know this is for toyotas, but there isn't anything for datsun b-210, sunny on the net
