ok two doors basecoated. will put clear on tomorrow and leave over the weekend to cure. primer first hung. silver basecoat. to make the colour 'pop' and green basecoat.

small update. finally got my set of mounts and stuff made. kept making em and then selling em. also got a wicked distribution block for my loom. its got 2x 4 guage inputs and 8x 8 guage outputs! also got some velocity stacks on their way from japan. also started pulling motor down for freshen up and blueprinting. was shit scared as i've never worked on this type of motor but yeah was easy as. quite interesting learning curve for me. still need to get head off need the tool! i got a good quote for having the rods pistons and crank balanced. $200. so that'll be happening very soon...... money permitting! cheers, Luc

hmm iw ould suggest to many people not to trust profix to do your exhaust! dodgy quality and very expensive compared to a proper shop like well hung exhausts

hmmm well i rang christies beach toyota and they ckecked aus for any and said none. also current orders and nil. he reckons most likely japan wont have any either and they'll probably have to make it.

ahk well nah i don have those sorta funds. so yeah. i rang toyota and they are 86.70 but they need to order thru japan so shipping is about $40 and there will be a three month wait. not bad really for a brand new one.

small update! gonna try and do small things after work might make it get ready for paint quicker. anyways drilled and removed battery tray bracket, coil bracket, and coolant tank bracket. and welded all the holes.

why not stay with k motor? cos mounting anything bigger than a 4a is gonna be really hard work! but...... maybe build a turbo os SC 7k to tune of say maybe 180rwkw? then that way for peace of mind you could get a w series box attached to it? that should fill the tunnel out and still kepp the bay looking like semi original?
