tough dogs all the way full adjustable multi bore sizes .. if you race a car DO NOT get a foam cell shock.. once you over heat the shock the foam hardens and losess its damping btw tough dog is a 4WD shock...

i my khanacars i prefer the manual one cause i can get them so tight i can't breath but in a road car i would rather auto's because it hard to change the radio when your straped in like your going the the space probe

hes does 150000k's in less then a year.. where the hell does he drive.. the engine is properly firetrucked again... all it needs is gull wing doors.... i think he should take the 3grand now lol

thats why a 1G powered ke20 would be too much... The only time power is really handy is when you want to "power slide" around cones. but i suppose you could just use the hand brake.
-
I race my KE20 against MG's here in canberra theres a few with twin carby datto motors in them, The only problem is there either very unreliable or they are driven bad grand dads so I can not tell you how good they are.. the guys that always seem to have the most fun are the two that show up in old VB commodores there both auto's ... nothing but tyre smoke all the way.. I was thinking about getting an old suziki alto 4wd turbo... but proberly too new for what you are looking for... I saw one race and it was funny to see a "matchbox" doing 4 wheel drift's. The cars that tend to win down here are fairly new e.g MINI Cooper S and MR2. the cars that seem to do the worst are the V8's .. but i am turing my 20 in to a hill climb car so a 1G with full hilux running gear is going in after the next khana (8th of October) I will still enter it in the khanas but I think i will have some problems keeping it under control... I found it cheaper just to bad "bombs" for the dirt races I can buy and sell then for the same amount so I will just race a different car each time from now on, I just damaged to much in the little 20 to continue using it... just to get to the point, A ke20 with a 5k supercharged would be the way to go maybe use the rear end out of a 4wd diesel hilux for a better ratio... and better hand brake, and cheaper tyres.. I can get old second hand 14" down here for the $10.00 and that includes dumping my old ones..

I agree with this.. i am going to do the same with my '20 when the 1G goes in ... i don't see what the big point is with a all the pop corn machines getting around

My mate had a JL GTR XU1 torana a few years ago but he had the exhuast modified so it did not look like it had one (he hated the look of his polished chrome drop tank being covered but a dirty old exhuast) anyways a cop pulled us over at 3am one sunday morning and gave him a defect notice stating his car did not have a exhuast at all. all the cop had to do was look up under neath the rear chrome bumper bar to see it.. the cop also tried to tell us that the car was heavly modified and he would need the engine mounts checked and a letter writen up and sent to the RTA.. the funny thing about all this is the car was stock it even had the original 13" rims on it LOL.. The only mod's that where done was the drop tank , exhuast shortened by 20cm and rebent. it did not even have a radio in it...( the JL GTR XU1 did not come with a radio LOL). When we took the car to the rego office the inspector read all the stuff the cop had writen down and then he opened the bonnet saw the engine with a exhuast attached and sent us on our way. it did cost my mate $19 for the inspection and that was it.. the rego inspector even had to ask my mate what was wrong with the engine mounts as he could see nothing wrong.

Hello all, My local tyre shop sold me 31X10.50R15 for my hilux 4/1984 dual cab diesel hilux, I went to get it rego inspected today and they told me that my tyres are too big, my problem is I do not want to buy more tyres as i just bought 6 or these tyres and at $296ea I don't have the money to buy more, Now for the question, if you work in a tyre shop or have access to one of those tyre sizing books could you please find out what tyre size the book recommends for my 4/84 hilux , and if you could get me a copy of that page i would be rather happy and try to do something in return regards and thanks in advance David.

A few of the newer EFI cars need the alt to be putting out charge as they can not get enough constant current draw from that battery and as a built in safety system the car shuts down when the alt stops charging.( or so I have been told) I know this to be the case with EFI diesels such as the 3ltr Nissan Patrol and the VW diesel but i can not give an example of this is a petrol EFI car
