  1. Thats a cheap quote, car is looking good, and the updates are a man on a mission, will be done in no time at this rate.
  2. ^^^this 100%. Never missmatch crown and pinion. R31 had two ratios, given the amount of bind you probably have both. Get an owners manual for the r31 to learn how to properly setup the gears.
  3. Excellent, keep chipping away at it mate, will be one very nice machine.
  4. ah true, good eyes, they looked like ls covers just needed to squint more!
  5. Cool, because drag car why not have more cubes! I can only count 6 runners, what engine is it? 28 is a serious tyre! What 1/4 and mph are you running now?
  6. It would all work i would think, is this like a power up idea or because cold start is a pain like my ke25? Just use factory injector and reg, free efi pump ect. I can donate all of this if you don't have.
  7. it is possible but probably not worth it, they are not a 3 piece wheel so the result would not be as factory either. what size are they. I have a pair in 15" i think that are a pretty neg offset.
  8. It been done plenty mate, have look through the members rides section at peoples projects and this will give you an idea of the work involved.
  9. Man that sucks! I never really associated roos with tassie, apparently i was wrong. Rad support damage is a shame, but s nos bumper is a score.
  10. cheers mate, mine will be diy i think. It sucks that these early girls have nearly a front wheel drive offset on the rear, the wheels off the ke30 don't even go close to fitting the ke25.
  11. Been slow to update this lately. I early entered the powerplay that was on last saturday. So finally did some work on the beast this after doing nothing but drive it a heap since last powercruise. removed both fuel filters to clean them, the aeromotive 40 micron was fine but the speedflow 10 micron after the pumps was pretty blocked. Will check that one more often i think. AT powecruise i had a wheelbearing give me trouble on the sunday, we put a new bearing in but the hub was not great. So i pulled both front hubs off, replaced one and repacked both of them on monday. Now time for some boost! Picked up a mate, my laptop, and my wideband and slowly put the boost back in, got around low to mid 20's in the psi but the laptop went flat so not right on 25 like we wanted, will do the rest on the track i guess. I did the interior vacuum, wash and wax, i pulled off the wheels and gave them a fresh buff with the cloth wheel. Looks overrated again. Powerplay was a good day, the rain held off, there was heaps of track time and the car performed flawlessly. Lots of races with everything i could find, it takes a fast car to beat the little rolla now. Lined up the crazy r34 that won the off street drags, safe to say it owned me. Most races out there are wins, so the memorable ones are the losses. Good times.
  12. I have the same problem with my ke25 and the rear wheels, was thinking about doing the same thing so either you're not crazy or we both are......
  13. yep well done mate for seeing it through to the end, would be a fun car to drive.
  14. I wasnt bagging anyones car, i was bagging an example engine, if you happen to own said vehicle vehicle engine thats merely coincidence and hard luck. Atoyota by saying go out and drive some decent cars means exactly that, you have no idea what you are talking about, so once you get older and get a licence put on your flat brim and get some life experience.
  15. I'm struggling not to be a smart arse. So this is my response. Get out more, maybe take a ride in a well modified car.
  16. Love it, i have two mates with these beasts that cruise regularly, one red and one yellow. The red one runs a 10 on the 1/4 too a seriously sweet sounding engine. Seems funny to say this after the previous quote, but please no jap rims and junk, its a muscle car!!!
  17. A factory 1jz with 12psi is in danger of getting run down by a hyundai. Some people like fast cars. A 1jz with a gt30 would spool quicker and make an abundance more power.
  18. atoyota mate you are simply speaking from inexperience, go out and find some decent cars to go for a ride in. As ive said before sometimes unmodified cars have the worst lag.
  19. I wouldn't say turbo lag days are gone at all, it depends how much power you want from an engine displacement. The above idea is a good one, i like it, the problem that i can see is though, that style of Supercharger that uses the turbine housing is known to be quite 'laggy' and needs some good rpm to do its thing, so the benefit could be limited.
  20. Yep i will be there in the ke30 if it lives through powerplay, or the ke25 if it doesn't.
  21. Cheers gents. coty not likely mate, engine is wrong make lol, thanks anyway. Hopefully we are all past licence issues, qld is too crazy.
