  1. Sounds like a broken seal in the oil system. Usually where the sump pickup bolts on, or the o ring seal between the front case and the block. I know nothing of 5m but someone who does should be able to tell you where to look. I guess in theory a heavily worn oil pump could cause this also, but I have never heard of it.
  2. Sika cracks under paint mate, if you plan on painting it probably better off glassing it. Looking good, so close now!!
  3. You need more info than that, search for the full engine wiring diagram. Its pretty basic from memory. Then create an aftermarket relay and fuse area under your dash. Or alternatively and much uglier use the nissan fuse box.
  4. Start your own thread mate, will be keen to see more.
  5. Corolla headlinings cost me $120 from the local upholstery bloke. He is not known to be cheap so i doubt it would cost much more than that anywhere. Catch is you need one for a template to give. If you want exact original though it would be worth paying the extra $$. Headlinings shrink after being off a car for any length of time so 2nd hand is not really possible.
  6. block temp alarm is the only way i recon mate, water temp gives you nothing when the water isnt there. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ENGINE-GUARD-EG01-1-Temperature-Alarm-Single-Sensor-Buzzer-Digital-Display-/161730650894?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item25a7e5e30e
  7. wow, i haven't seen this for awhile, things went well. love mk3's killer offset.
  8. Hi mate. Gt3076 is the wrong turbo. You would be over 5000rpm before you have full boost! With your power goal of 200+kw @ wheels the best turbo would be a gtx2863. Use a .63 rear housing and you can use an internal gate too if you like. It will have great response and can go well beyond your power goal.
  9. That corona looks great in the pics, i would pay that if its as good in person. As for the 30k celicas, they are a special breed i guess, the example shown even in the pics does not present that well. Dreamers
  10. 3rz turbo would be legal in a ke70 under the new rules, should happen more often imo. As for the hilux diff, you use the whole thing, not just the centre. A really early rn20 diff is similar length to a ke70, but are very hard to track down, and are also known to have weaker axles than the later versions. If $$$ is not a big issuer probably better off shortening a later model one really, the later one is also more likely to come with the gearing you would need.
  11. Awesome mate, great to hear things went well. Now time to enjoy!
  12. Excellent, any progress is good progress.
  13. looking good mate, head cleaned up well, that trick works fine with a composite gasket. Yep std is the bore size.
  14. bus wheel is awesome!!!!! I've been driving my ke25 to work for months now, as a result I feel very comfortable and confident steering the ke30. They must have some similarities.
  15. If you were to remove all except one of your leafs you need to add links to the front leaf mounts to stop the diff winding up. It really is a bad idea anyways. Better off just going to a proper 4 link if you really want to go that way, which can be approved in qld. Or add a watts link or panhard to existing leaf setup, play around with leaf combinations to get a good spring rate, and get some really good shocks to control the springs. This if well thought out is likely to be enough to get the car to where you want it to be.
  16. Thanks Reed, things are going well with it atm, started on the new diff too.
  17. Hey carlos E85 ftw. The supra in the video runs a 10.5 @ 133mph apparently.
  18. what! who does that, when a guy has a 20hr drive ahead of him you give him a dead battery to save yourself $50. where are you at?
  19. Looks really good mate, was kinda hopeing for a m series supra, but this is cool.
