  1. I rent a storage unit where they are ok with me working on my cars there. It costs me $100 per week but it is big for those dollars. It could hold 4 cars if it weren't for all my parts. Perhaps try storage places in semi industrial areas and the like they are usually more flexible with this issue. Mine is unusual in that it is in the.city but they allow it
  2. Introducing my latest Corolla...... a shiny KE26 Wagon This is actually my 10th Corolla, and I think it will be my best yet. It has been resprayed in and out in the Ford Territory Mocha colour. I have ALOT of work ahead of me to re-install everything and complete the car ready for the road. I estimate it will take me ~3 years to complete. I wanted something that I can take the wife and kids out in on sunny Sundays and I reckon once complete this will be just the thing. Plans: Engine - undecided, options like 13B, 20V 4AGE and even BEAMS are being considered. As the wagons weigh 900kg, anything up to a 3.6L NA is applicable ;) Driveline - Hilux Diff, also considering rack and pinion conversion, these old steering boxes are almost always rooted. AE86 or RA65 struts up front so can utilise big brakes and 4 x 114.3 stud pattern. Interior - original, done in either the tan vinyl or black vinyl they come in Wheels - undecided, will have to run at least 14s to clear brakes Budget - ~$15K I am on the lookout to purchase a rough KE20 to test fit engine and box conversion etc so it can then be transplanted into this car. This thing is so clean you can eat off of it - I don't want to be lifting engines and boxes in and out of it twenty times and stuffing it up. Here is a pic of before I bought it...... Happy to hear suggestions for engine and wheels combo etc. I am a bit spoilt for choice with this thing so I can't decide
  3. How about just use wheels that fi? Can't beat glod clean lines
  4. I concur. Driving my wifes is sensational!!! wmmh... A ke26 wagon being delivered to me today
  5. Yum Yum Yum Yum Did I mention this was yummy? Too good Troy!!!
  6. My best mate works in a tyre shop so I'm all sorted price wise. Tyres arriving next Friday, fitting Saturday. Damn sat nav - I have been trying to work out how to get it to talk to me in Jap and sure enough it has a lovely female voice over for directions. Now I just have to work out how to turn her off!!!!
  7. That would be sweet if you could get pics. I understand what you mean though now - very helpful. I cut so much out of my last one to fit it and was real disappointed with the fit. I am NOT doing that again. Thanks
  8. When you say you laid the intercooler back can you describe what you mean? Did you bend the top or bottom brackets to make it sit further back? I just bought another Chaser and another of these kits. I want to avoid chopping the reo like I did last time and do this one a bit better.
  9. Ok I said I wouldn't... but then these came up for sale locally 18 x 8.5 and 9.5. Big BIG lips on these bad boys. Should be ok street fitment too. Also purchased a Greddy LS Intercooler last week. Just gotta find some time to fit all these items and get tyres etc.
  10. In a way the povo look is appealling because it doesn't exactly scream "look at me". I'll be changing that though  The remaining parts of the factory lip kit are remarkably cheap these days as are the clear indicators. Wheels, Kit, Clear indicators and a Camry badge and it'll be sweet
  11. What makes this purchase even better is that my missus wants to buy herself something smaller within a year or so, and this car will become MY daily  Anyway, some more pics. Night time.... tried to catch the pearl a bit more. Looking at some rims for this tomorrow in 18 x 8.5 and 9.5. Also ordered new intercooler.
  12. I gave the shortened version of what Raven said. Sell it before you come over
  13. You will be screwed. No chance at all Sorry but no point beating around the bush
  14. You can weld the diff in those but it is more difficult than normal. An alternative would be to get an ra60 diff.and weld that. Yours is solid axle yeah?
  15. More pics to come later in the week when I get the plates for it. Itching to drive it again!!
  16. After a nearly 4.5 year drought of owning a JZX100 Chaser I managed to convince the wife that one would make a far better daily/family vehicle than her VZ Commodore. The specs: JZX100 Chaser Tourer V Pearl White 74000 kms Auto Factory TV, GPS Sat Nav and 6 CD Stacker Grade 4 auction vehicle - looks unused inside and out! Some sort of exhaust Plans: Front Mount Cooler Exhaust etc Boost.Controller Aiming for ~200 rwkw with stock exterior and wheels Pics Monday

    Spotted

Spotted Ravens Chaser parked outside his joint. I happened to be on the way back from picking up my new Chaser.
  18. Ae102 Corolla Sedan in 7afe. I drove one earlier this year and it was very zippy and non boring. Had extractors to replace the factory headers which crap out. Could get a good example for less than $3k if your a keen buyer :) Leaves change for other things
  19. are any of those wheels for sale?
