  1. The Crown was registered today and went on its maiden voyage tonight up and down the street. It is in dire need of a tune up and also a new battery as it doesn't appear to be holding charge. The lights are quite dull and the indicators only flash when everything else is switched off. Other than that the car is so smooth and quiet!!!! Will make an awesome cruiser. Whitewalls will be getting done in a couple of weeks and then I'm going to take some cool pics of the car. I'm really feeling the Bay to Birdwood in this car this year!
  2. I'm digging the black as it ties in with the stripe you have down the side.
  3. Yes the purchase price was that low. I hope to get it tidied up and on the road for under $1K
  4. Thanks Reed - you explained what I couldn't be bothered typing.
  5. :spam: :cmonkey: someone do this please :locked: followed shortly by this :ban:
  6. Don't worry about it, biggest load of shit I have heard all month. The only way you get a free windscreen is if you have windscreen cover on your insurance and they give free ones.
  7. I have a new sidchrome socket set and the ratchet is too "tight". As soon as the item you are doing/undoing loses tight resistance the thing won't ratchet at all rendering it useless. I figured it was just because it was tight being new and all but even after some use it is still fcking annoying and useless!!! I've always used Sidchrome though, lifetime warranty and no questions asked for replacement
  8. Here are the pics from after a bit of a polish and freshen up.... I still need to clean the windows and polish the chrome work. Any suggestions on products to use for polishing the chrome are more than welcome. I want it to POP!
  9. I keep thinking..... the day I drive this down Nick better have the Cressy out front for me to snap a pic of them together!!! blzbub - this thing has a LPG tank in the boot but I still reckon there is room for four bodies :lolcry:  The boot is HUGE
  10. I acquired this MS85 Crown a few weeks back and plan to get it on the road and enjoy it. Here are some pics that were supplied before I looked at it - Since I got it I have managed to get it running. I polished it today and will take some pics tomorrow to show how much more amazing it looks now its all sparkly and clean! It really is quite a tidy car. After that I just want to put some rego on it and get it driving. Plans include: Twin Whitewalls KE20 Chrome Mirrors to replace the huge elephant ear ones on there - if anyone has a pair of these they are willing to part with let me know Crown Hubcaps - maybe??? I'm not sure what I will do with it once it is on the road... will wait and see. I may eventually pass it on to someone else. If I do I would only plan to price it at what it has cost me to get it back on the road. I don't think the previous owner would be too upset - after all I have taken it out of the shed, rejuvenated it back to life and put it on the road again for someone (even if it's not me!!) to enjoy it as it should be. I'm enjoying this adventure to get this thing back on the road and will share the pics along the way. Enjoy!!
  11. It's funny.. there are two people that posted in this thread that have started projects and not finished them. Ryan, you have nothing to prove - you finished the wagon!!! It's your car so do what you want with it. Just be sure you have planned it out well because it sounds like it has the potential to cost a bit of $$$$
  12. $2K for one of these is still a good buy especially since it is a 325. If you get it fixed for under $3k you are still doing well!! Whack some Sportmax wheels on it and cruise it. They all seem to have the same electrical problems - as long as it still drives well etc don't worry about it and just enjoy it for what it is.
  13. It is a 1990 model, same as the one in the pic provided Thanks for the pic BTW
  14. Ok I have my Subaru L Series wagon for sale Beige 5 Speed Bullbar integrated into bumper bar so original bumper bar no longer needed Roof Racks Tow Bar Light Brown interior in good condition Has A/C but needs regas (doesn't everyone say that???) Low Ks, just 195,000 which seems to be quite low for this model as most I see have done over 300,000 Ks. Overall condition very tidy inside and out - doesn't appear to have been offroad. Price - $2200 Pics 0430 181 590 or via PM
  15. The original fan blows air under the dash behind there so yeah it would blow air through that 'contraption' which would then heat the interior. It's actually quite smart when you think about it
  16. They still do charge the earth!!!!
  17. Yep you're welcome to it but you will have to remove it yourself and the car won't be staying at mine for long either lol
