Tiger the pug/hilux/corona upgrade is quite good and will pull you up quite nicely. Everyone on Toymods who use that combo praises it

If you are going V6 why not a V8? length isn't a problem and if a V6 will fit a V8 won't be any harder if any. unless you are getting a V6 cheap or something. 253 or a 283 chev would be sweet. heaps of performance parts out there aswell :wink:

An upgrade for the gearbox is to track down a T to W bellhousing which i think would be quite hard. maybe just go a little easier with your left foot :dance:. as for the diff you could upgrde to a T series diff out of either a TE72 (T-18 here) or a JDM model sprinter. the sprinter diff will prob be pretty expensive but will have discs and an LSD already in there. T series diffs also came out in the earlier celicas but not sure if they are suitable for the KE70. i am sure some one else will tell you. hope this helps abit. -Calvin :harhar:

What makes a XU1 a boat anchor? My uncle owns ferraris, corvettes, boxter's V8 supercar's and his LJ GTR XU1 is the quickest around a track out of all of those cars

only advantage of coil overs is there adjustability. St nick: you are probably better off you rt132 corona struts as the RA40 brakes are not much of an increase over standard. search around on the corona ones and you will see that they are alot better way to go. Cheers, Calvin

Just wondering if the NA CA18 is a hard conversion or is it just a matter of making engine/gearbox mounts and a custom tailshaft and then just wiring the lot up or do you have to modify gearbox tunnels or stuff like that. May have info correct here sorry. i think that hilux diffs may be G series but it doesn't really matter because you can buy diff locks or LSD's for hiluxes anywhere. you would most likely find something on toymods on how to convert to discs on a hilux diff because so many people use them.

My brother had same problem to and fixed up a wire so that when you put it in reverse the gearbox touched the wire and that earthed it and the lights came on. it lasted for about 6 months ;) Bah we drove around for a whole year on rego with the exhaust chopped open. nothing like the sound of an unmuffled K motor :y:

A good diff upgrade if you are still looking for one is a hilux diff or a MX13 (mark2) corona diff. they have F series centres but are live axle so this means you could use standard MA61 LSD's :y: Love the car :hammer: looks just like my old KE30 with undercoat in the spots where we fixed the rust ;)

Bad idea with longer studs. Ads too much stress IMO. what you need to get is the spacers my cousin has on his car they are wheel spacers but have a set of standard length studs on them so they bolt to stock wheel studs then put ur wheels on the new studs on the spacer. alot less stress on wheel studs so you wheel doesn't fall off :)
