  1. those enkeis are cool, restore them and use them!
  2. Yes I am also interested in this, I am looking at a mechanic who can do some compression tests and fix my engine, I just don't have the time anymore.
  3. having no suspension movement isnt always the best thing
  4. I don't think twin carbs would be the best thing to put on without supporting mods, what do you plan on using the car for?
  5. Ah well auto is the first problem you need to fix if you want any real performance. Id keep the stock carb and concentrate on a manual conversion
  6. unless it is a nigerian copy of madrolla lmao
  7. Mate, would you be able to give me a nice summary of how to seam weld and what kind of welder you use etc?
  8. Ok kinda offtopic but still on topic of chassis strengthening, I have removed my sound deadening inside the car, and noticed the seams. Would it make a difference if these were seam welded? I will try and get some pics.
  9. what gearbox did you run behind it? and where did you get the upright kit from?
  10. daymn, how did you build that engine?
  11. hey mate did you seam weld your chassis at all?
  12. yea people wouldnt really know its missing at all, police wouldnt know that you have changed the carby, just tell them its all stock, just take it out
  13. is this going to be moved to the right section?
  14. you also need to decide on what cam grind to get, whether you want something streetable or you go for something bigger, which will then need supporting mods, so if you decide to port the head then you have to match your extractors, and say you choose a big cam with power in the top end then you should get extractors to suit this. there are many variables take a look at my thread about my 5k and you will see alot of the problems i have had, although it is a bit different to your setup. And even after putting it all together I am still losing compression in cylinder 1 and it is out of my capabilities to fix, so will have to go to a workshop to diagnose what is going wrong. So what I am trying to say is, get someone to do it all properly for you just once, instead of f@$king around, I am up to my 4th headgasket and the engine hasn't ran for more than say 2 days.
  15. so many penis jokes could be said right now
  16. Haha i think you will find that the fact that you have changed the whole front end plus engine that you will need a engineers cert. Why are you using a S13 crossmember?
  17. I would say the RX4 they go for heaps these days
  18. but wouldnt the jap ones have heavier engines and gearboxes?
  19. Yea before you pull it all apart I would be going to get a compression test from a mechanic, it shouldnt cost much and it would be cheaper than buying the tool yourself.
  20. No they don't the front left drivers hole doesn't line up. Otherwise a Bride AE86 rail would bolt straight into a KE70
  21. All comes down to money my friend, and how much of it your willing to spend. Just buy one and start from there, they are getting hard to find these days.
  22. I really doubt a 91 seca would say 24 psi? thats kinda weird
  23. Nope I just had a read about what a wet test is on this site, which has what I think is some good information. Should I get a professional to test or is it within my scope?
  24. Ok so I have just found out that there is a leakage test that will pinpoint where my compression is being lost. I think it could be due to not shimming the rocker posts after having it shaved twice. Now I need to find someone who has that testing gear in Sydney.
  25. Nopes they are hydraulic =/
