  1. Anytime is good for actually.
  2. 4 or 5pm?
  3. That's the first thing to look at if a corolla drives fine but doesn't idle...learnt that the well not hard way but the long way.
  4. You can start a car without that solenoid, just don't let it idle
  5. Not sure myself but with a 5k, you'll need a K50, peddle box, tail shaft depending on the splines, diff is the same, i'm pretty sure their cable clutch so no master cylinder and maybe a cross member. Dash cluster is the same. I think everything on a 4k can be bolted onto a 5k, just the carby will need re-jetting. I'd do the whole lot at the same time, cause i did the G.box in my car and now i want to put a 5k in but can't be stuffed. Other people will ellaborate and correct me.
  6. Converting it to manual is very easy, engine conversion are harder and more expensive apart from a 5k which is a direct bolt on to your original setup. I'm pretty sure people will tell you not to bother with a 4ac and a 4age will cost you a fair bit, bit unsure but over 3 grand on average. Do a 5k conversion with a 5 speed, supercharge it with a sidedraught weber. That to me is the easiest and cheapest way to go....oh and a cam, extractors and exhaust etc. People will have different opinions, it's largely based on how much you actually want to spend like a grand or 5 grand, you know. Just another 2 cents from Jono.
  7. Honestly if someone really wanted to steal an old car it's so easy, pop the bonnet run a positive wire from the battery to the coil, find the starter motor wire and and just short it out to the thick positive cable going to it. And putting power to the idle solenoid thingy. An alarm is the only good idea as the flashing light will warn them that there is an alarm fitted, and then if they do break in the alarm will sound and warn people around. To go just that little bit further you could wire one of these up to the main cable to the starter motor http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DUAL-BATTERY-ISOLAT...rts_Accessories , and just hide it somewhere.
  8. Beule!! How else do you put your thread at the top of a section?

  18. Ok, just squirted some inox down the shaft and the sound is gone, thank god thought it was the oil pump. Will take out the dizzy and see if there is excessive movement and see if it spins freely, thanks for your help guys.
  19. How bout taking a ke70 k50 and putting it into a e35 with a k40? Mounts wise?
  20. Hey guys, need help. My engines making a really high pitched noise from the left hand side of the engine (the dizzy/oil filter side) and wondering if anybody here knows what it is. It is getting worse with the more k's I do, my only thoughts are maybe the dizzy seals/bearings or the oil pump, but it's always had oil in it and it didn't do it straight from when I rebuilt it. It's my only ride so I need urgent help. I've uploaded a video to show you what I mean, it might not be available straight away as I just uploaded it. Cheers guys
  21. Best to do put it back in with someone else there, to line the bolts up alot easier. Don't know about ke70's but on my 35 i used extension bars and a univerisal joint to get to the mounting bolts in and out, was about 2 feet long but work. Again easier if you have someone to locate the socket on the nuts you wanna undo.
  22. Nuh they haven't been changed, do you think that's something i should replace after 5000km?
  23. Hmmmm...is that between the cylinder and crank case? Or just a re-think is it the seals on the crank itself? I think what the problem could of been was that when i adjusted the idle last, the engine was cold. So as soon as the engine was warm the idle up thingo would of lowered the revs too much. Adjusted it the other day and was able to go through the city and stuff. Need to pull the carby apart again clean it out, clean the air filter aswell. A new problem is that sometimes it goes really good, from 0-70 no power breaks or anything, and other times when i re-apply power at about 15-20km/h it takes longer to get up, Maybe the reeds or dunno?
  24. So are you going against the rolla there or? I think the moral of the story is, buy a brand new car leave it alone or leave the mods for a certified dealer.
