  1. Does this/ Will this get out much? I'd quite like to take a look at it. Looks awesome! Colour and wheels are cool
  2. Damn this thing looks awesome these days! Is there much in the way of tidy ke30's/55's up north? I'd quite like one to mess around with but all the ones down here are junk! I'd really like a ke38 to be honest but stuffed if i can find one down here
  3. Most of that'll push out by foot from the boot, Have repaired worse with a quick AirJordan-ing
  4. Well.. Acrylic is a paint that likes to expand and shrink through weather conditions.. ie heat and cold.. If you spray 2pak over acrylic it will crack.. 2pak dries hard, So if you have an undercoat that's expanding and shrinking under a solid hard coat of paint.. 2pak shits all over acrylic/ enamel. I sprayed mine acrylic due to the fact it's easy to spray and easy to buff.. That's it. Now my cars getting sprayed at an actual paint shop i wouldn't touch anything other than 2pak.. After speaking to a spray painter of 40 years who said 2pak is the only way to do it properly.. I'll take his word If you're after a nice grey colour look at the new commodores on the Holden site, There's a grey they've brought out now that's awesome, Gets almost a bronze tinge in the sunlight
  5. Few days late to the party i know.. I've personally driven a ke20 with a 4ac which had a weber, mild head plain and tube headers.. Have to say, It did not need a 4age.. It hauled ass for a $300 conversion and only thing i'd say it needed was a better diff ratio. 4age is *a lot* more money and mucking around for something it doesn't need..

Hey guys, Back again Been a while! Been flat out with work and other things. Not too much has been going on with this of late, Been through 3 more cars since.. I bought an MS65 so had to relocate this to a friends place for a while until the crown is registered. Had a another corolla for a little while and put a funny engine it before flogging it off. Should hopefully get back into this thing in a couple of months to get it finally finished off! But i might stick around until then to offer any input etc i can to the forum Cheers

Hey guys, I'm back. Haven't been on in about a year.. Got sick of some stuff and some of the people in the Corolla scene so took a break from the forum.. Not too much is new really, Been working mostly and helping mates build their cars. As of tomorrow i start a new job which is full time so time to work on stuff goes down but money goes up.. Cars pretty much the same, Few things are different but i've mostly been building up my Celica instead of trying to build 2 cars at once.. Also car was featured here on stiff diff a little while back after i was playing with some suspension stuff https://www.facebook...&type=3 Not sure how often i'll be back on here but i'll try and update with any progress (Hopefully very soon) Cheers
  10. Unfortunately not.. Google 'Illest beats by Dre'* *Warning, Such actions may lessen ones value to live, and faith in humanity.
  11. @BLZBUB. hahaha
  12. Do you just want a factory replacement? Go see the old bloke at the wreckers in browns road. He has a few wagons and sedans. There's also the wreckers in Brighton but fark he's a rip off
  13. ^ I found that kinda difference with Ke70/ T18
  14. $250 second hand.... You'd mostly use it rigidity anyway. And IF you were serious about safety with a cage you'd go full cage anyway! As half cage won't do shit if you flip onto a fence
  15. Fair point. But I've been around enough stuff to know when somethings half decent or not. They're certainly not what I'd call an eBay type deal. Few people run them in motorsport down here with no issues whatsoever. And for $250 compared to several thousand..
  16. The cusco Ke70 cage's seem alright to me? Mind you i've never seen one post rollover or anything
  17. Bloke down here just tinted his rear windows to hide it
  18. I'd look at maybe even doing it with magnets/ magnetic strips some how? (Also Sikaflex would pull the paint right off when you removed the flare)
  19. Yeah just a pressure build up. I don't do my cap up as tight anymore and it seems to work
  20. Nah I dunno! It's pretty wack though
  21. Yeah I know they're supposed to be so you can get put fast. These arw just retarded though
  22. Nope, not at all.. I don't know whether they're cheap ones or what but.. supposedly they're a stronger buckle than most so if you roll it, it won't break or something.. but you have to un-do each part individually.. and they're mega stubborn. You have to sorta push the buckle in a little bit to get it out, and it just ends up like when retractables lock on hills
  23. Ah! Was this perhaps sitting at the Expressway at Kingston last year? The car wasn't painted then but all the engine bay etc was
  24. That's the reason I haven't put my fixed back in a car yet.. you can't drive on the road with them! You can't headcheck or anything.. Especially with a harness. My mate in his r31 looks like a retard trying to get stuff from the drive through in a fixed back and harness. It takes like 10 minutes to get the harness off. Pointless considering its only been on the track once
