  2. random guess....needle and seat are R/S
  3. Go to a panel shop. They have blokes who come around in cars sticking it on. Get the number and they'll probably give you some tape...if you ask nicely.
  4. Damn, That KE20 was at centre rd on Friday
  5. May I have a private room. I think i've stained myself. HOLY SHEET. Understood about 40% of whath was going on...like the 2 million USD (then money) to develop that bad boy
  6. It was named after Toyoda-San. But all the chinese characters have"meaning", which is how they choose given names. Examples are female name, Yoko. Yo means "the sun" and Ko means "female child" Hence there are a lot of girls with ko in there name. Also male name, Mitsuo. Mitsu means "3" and o means "rd". So if your the third son (IMO parents are lazy) you may get that name. If you every meet a Japanese person, ask them the meaning of there name. Half an hour of your life you'll never get back.
  7. I'd say your 2 main hurdles are going to be sump and bellhousing. I know some came with v6's, but I have a feeling it isn't the same. Don't know how interchangeable the parts are gunna be. Can anyone confirm. Once you get past those two hurdles it sounds like you have everything else. With the price of magna bits it shouldn't be hard to source the little things
  8. No probs, it was a good laugh. You try the rims yet?
  9. This isn't exactly what your after, but a good read http://carlogos.info/index.php/Toyota
  10. Thats pretty normal for all the toyotas I have.

  13. :( Always suspected your a barbie girl....LMAO thanks for your input
  14. Ethanol eats rubber. So all the lines will be f@$ked.
  15. Bingo. Perhaps its not all going into the engine. Evan, with 98, it's a very heavy fuel and tends to "sit" in the bowl. The engines like 95 with a handful of timing. But they are jap engines and will run on 91. But fuel consumption will suffer. If the fuel companies wouldn't profit so much on hi octane all would be well. I imagine most of us use 91 cause of the price thang
  16. IMO after 80 ks an hour every 10 ks adds 10%. so giving it the berries up a hill will def affect fuel consumption. I know your not a hoon, try adjusting the nut behind the wheel. What grade of fuel are you running?
  17. LMAO. I used to put a portable CD player in Val on the back seat. Then I mounted some under seat speakers and the CD under the dash. Picked up the old am radio in the dash for 5 bucks because the wrecker classed it as an am radio. He didn't really look and note it's ancient with all the old stations written on it. Out of a VF!
  18. You gunna give the fidy5 a name?
  19. considering the amount of sierras with k motors, i'd start there. it'd be tricky and you'd have to seal off the front tailshaft hole. And mess with the floorpan. The good thing is the transfer case is seperate from the box with a mini tailshaft connecting it to the box.
  20. Been thinking about this for a while. We love music in the car, it makes you drive fast, or makes the drive bliss. Some prefer the exhaust note, like the guy who gave me phooey. 2 inch loud exhaust and am radio! Now for my cars In the hardtop, tape deck with the 1980 tape, the Angels, Dark Room. It's also got a radio transmitter so I can listen to usbs, sd's etc. In the Valiant, CD, Iggy and the Stooges, 1969.... In the 'Cruiser, Franz Ferdinand, song Jacqueline, because as the song says, it's always better on holidays, so much better on holidays What's your thing? Bamboo
  21. I prefer it's official name....the eyebrow. Looks like I'll be fighting you to find one in Melbourne. I do remember when they were popular on cars that they used to create rust around the mounts so undecided. I was thinking the black louvre. The ultimate early 80's accessory. Although the ones I see at the wreckers are all brittle due to age. Venetians tend to rattle. Wooly seatcovers to come to cover the perfect, and perfectly hot interior. I've also got a tape deck in phooey. With the 1980 tape, The Angels, Dark Room. Real era music. I think I'm gunna throw a thread out, what music suits your beast.
  22. I reckon this guy would make rollas if asked. He sure has a hard on for valiants, which is how I found the site!! :( http://www.milduraplasmacutdesigns.com.au/...e.php?maincat=2
  23. I like shiny things. Now I just gotta get some chrome rings to finish it off. Getting more granny by the day. also a pic of the 14s we were talking about
  24. 273 is tucked away safe and dry. But it was hammered. It had corroded the timing case behind the waterpump. Very pink oil. Also a late 273 with hydraulic lifters. I drove it home like that. Also had a tranny that was 1st, 2nd and flair. I am actually considering getting rid of it. It takes up the garage, I pay reg and hardly ever drive it, as she who must be obeyed is fond of pointing out. But the car was here before her. I had to strip and clean the capliers last week because the brake fluid had turned to jelly, making them stick. My that was fun on Springvale road. I've also nicked it a few times 'cause its always in the way. As for COTM, when we go away our default car is the landcruiser. So i've considered it but.... I can barely make it to Sandown and its only down the road! And four cars and a motorbike is probably excessive for two people.
